The Experts Predictions for October 4th:
2008-10-02 20:45:00
Here's what the experts are saying. Be on the lookout for our prognostications.______________-___West Virginia 35, Rutgers 14The Mountaineers' offense hit its stride last week and should keep up the fireworks against a suspect Rutgers defense. RU has lost 13 in a row to WVU, and I don't see that streak ending here in Morgantown. Penn State 42, Purdue 34If your defense is getting gashed by the Notre Dame run game, look for the Penn State attack to really do damage. The Nittany Lions have a good O-line, having produced 15 running plays of at least 20 yards, and seven of those have gone for at least 30. That said, don't be surprised if Curtis Painter gets hot and keeps things interesting. Oklahoma 41, Baylor 24Robert Griffin is a phenomenal athlete, but he is going to face the best bunch of D-linemen he has seen in his college career this week. Look for the Sooners' ground attack to heat back up against the Bears. Kansas 30, Iowa State 13KU probably didn't need WR Dexron Fields ...

Steve?s 2008 NFL Predictions
2008-08-30 14:00:00
With the 2008 NFL season upon us I decided to take a look at the teams and make some pre-season predictions. The records you see below were actually compiled by me going through the week-by-week schedule and issuing a team a win or a loss. Then I assigned the 12 playoff teams and picked the ...
Andy Greeves' 08/09 Premiership Predictions
2008-08-12 10:51:00
1- ChelseaHaving lost the Champions League Final on penalties and been pipped to the Premiership title by just two points, Chelsea were the ultimate bridesmaid last season. After a summer to lick their wounds, the Blues will come back stronger in 08/09.With Luiz Felipe Scolari now at the helm and having captured Deco and Jose Bosingwa this summer, Chelsea have what it takes to beat United to the league title this time around. The Stamford Bridge club have achieved a massive victory in maintaining Frank Lampard and Didier Drogba, even if its only for another year. Time in which to win a league title.2 -Manchester UnitedUnited are likely to be without Ronaldo for August and September, meaning their star winger will miss trips to Liverpool (13 Sept) and Chelsea (21 Sept). Two games that could well be make or break to United?s season.Even when he?s not playing, the Portuguese star is bound to be the key topic of conversation. Can he possibly deliver as greatly as he did last campaign? Wil...
Russia?s war on Georgia and Sathya Sai?s predictions

At http://www.saibaba.ws/reports/c-onnieshaw.htm one can read an account of Connie Shaw’s 31’st visit to Sathya Sai Baba and an interview in January 2002. She starts by saying… “There were several unique features to our most recent trip to Sai Baba’s Puttaparthi, India ashram (number 31, but who’s counting?)”. Comment: Who’s counting? Evidently Connie Shaw is! Thirty one wasteful ...
Robnosticator's 2008 Top 10 Worst ATS College Football Predictions
2008-08-05 01:11:00
Greetings,As many of my long time followers know, I like to use the month of August to reflect upon last years season, both how I performed against the spread and how the individual schools performed against the spread. This will be the third year I release my "Top 10" list and as you may know the last two years predictions have been spot damn on!But first, lets review my methodology and last years results...The Methodology:First, it is important to understand that my list is designed to predict who will have a losing record AGAINST THE SPREAD. Many teams can have winning records but fail to cover and vice a versa.1. I look at teams that fall into the pre-season Top 25 polls. These teams for the most part have big time football programs from schools with huge enrollment and alumni support. These alumni like to buy the hype and are casual and emotionally biased sports bettors. As such, the mere fact that their school shows up in the Top 25 gets them excited and willing to bet larger ...
Predictions: Rents will increase quickly
2008-07-28 14:14:00
ThereEconomists and pundits have been talking about real estate, housing, and construction statistics to the point that all we really hear is "noise" and "be afraid, be very afraid."Well, I was able to clear my head long enough this morning to read Calculated Risk's assessment of the recent releases of information on real estate, which came out Friday. Good charts and analysis from an otherwise very negative pundit. They sum up their thoughts with an assumption that it will take 5 years to eat up 1.75 million excess housing units. Not so, that's negative thinking wanting to stick it's head into a rapidly improving situation. The raw data:Homeownership rate increased, slightly, to just over 68% and bounced off the recent drop below that number, to re-acquire 2003 levels. This while the media was working overtime to tell people not to buy, and mortgage companies are over-pricing mortgage risk in an attempt to pad their profits in case Congress steps in to penalize the survivors....
Predictions Shattered!
2008-07-10 19:05:00
Elton Brand and Brandon Jennings decided to mess with me: the basketball prophet (not really). I wanted Josh Smith to be a Sixer (I even had five reasons) and I wanted Jennings to make his choice on the 11th (so he could get an endorsement with Apple, or go to Cisco). It's pretty much a lock that Smith won't come to the Sixers. Brand will take the cap space and the only way he'll go to Philly is a sign and trade. I don't disagree with the move, but I had no idea it was going to happen (did anyone?). The Sixers lacked scoring up front and Elton will fix that.Has anyone noticed that Elton likes to mention how great his agent is? I watched the videos over at ESPN and he loves to mention his agent. Here:The deal with Brandon Jennings is he made his decision a couple days before iPhone day! Now I know he chose Europe and would go with Cisco, but I think he could really get more money out of raining on Apple's parade (not that they're direct competitors, but both are techie).Either wa...
90210 Won’t Save the CW and Other Ratings Predictions for the Fall
2008-07-08 15:52:00
Because it’s never too early to start a “Save Our Show” campaign, Horizon Media has released their annual speculative report on what shows premiering this fall will be the next PUSHING DAISIES and which will follow in MOONLIGHT’s unfortunate footsteps. The good news, as expected, highest marks were awarded to the highly anticipated J.J. Abrams Sci-Fi thriller FRINGE, the Jerry Bruckheimer produced CBS procedural 11th HOUR and ABC’s troubled British remake LIFE ON MARS. Bad news. Low marks were given to NBC’s hour long car commercial also known as KNIGHT RIDER, NBC’s Aussie remake of KATH & KIM and the CBS ‘laugher’ WORST WEEK. With the worst news being reserved for the network that definitely needs to catch a break. Turns out, while there’s an awful lot of buzz surrounding the CW’s re-boot of 90210, Horizon Media speculates that the talk won’t translate into eyeballs and that America’s favorite zip co...

Euro 2008 Predictions and Picks: Poland V. Germany
2008-06-05 03:27:00
Greetings Kielbasites, It's been a while since I made a winning pick on European Football and this Sunday we have the mother of all re-matches when Poland (my team) faces the evil germans in the opening round of Euro 2008. You can go to this link for more on why Germany Sucks. Unfortunately, Poland lost against germany but only after valiently battling an overmatched German Squad and down Radoslaw Sobolewski who was sent off late for two bookable offences. The Polish Keeper Boruc faced down a relentless onslaught until finally yielding the winning goal in stoppage time. Chicago and Warsaw were devasted. (as documented, I had Poland +1 so we pushed-Heartbroken-Yes; Broke-No) Now this Sunday Poland has the opportunity to redeem themselves and beat their Arch-Nemesis for the first time since 1933. 6 year before Hitler and his bastards attacked us without provocation! 'We are aware of this record and we are reasonably confident we can finally beat Germany,' said Polish coach ...

American Idol: Finale Results Preview - May 21, 2008

Last night’s American Idol 2008 performance show was a bit of a let down for me. I wasn’t thrilled with a David vs. David Finale to begin with. The extra hype and cheesy bits they added (like the boxing theme at the start of the show) really didn’t help. My biggest disappoint met was in ...

How I Did With Last Year’s TV Predictions
2008-05-15 20:49:00
Since there are no upfront presentations today, I thought I’d score myself on how I called last season’s predictions. ABC Samantha Who? (formerly “Sam I Am”) Sean’s take: Sam I Am stars Christina Applegate… anyone remember “Jesse”? Yeah… exactly my point. In sandwiching this between Dancing With The Stars and The Bachelor makes NO sense. And could someone tell me how The Bachelor keeps finding this many desperate women? It survived, and actually got decent reviews and ratings. Caveman and Carpoolers Sean’s take: No one, NO ONE, is upbeat about Caveman. I have no clue how it even made the schedule. And Carpoolers? A sitcom set… in a car… yeah, okay. Both flopped. Pushing Daisies, Private Practice, Dirty Sexy Money Sean’s take: All three sound like crap basically. I don’t like Grey’s Anatomy, so Private Practice holds no interest for me. Dirty Sexy Money is just a silly name, and Pushing Daisies… look, it’s Dark Angel season 2! Private...
Jill Dahne Predictions
2008-05-14 18:54:00
Jill Dahne preditions from the past few months. She is still 100% sure that Hilary will be the next president. In fact, she predicted on the radio back in 1998 after she predicted Bill's sex scandal, that Hilary would be president one day. They all thought she was nuts back then, but look how far Hilary has come so far? Only time will tell.Lindsay Lohan will turn herself around in July/August and will start helping people with their drugs and alcohol problems.A majority of young Hollywood stars, like Paris Hilton, Britney Spears, etc will start a new fad of opening night clubs in their homes. You will hear all about in in Aug/Sept of 2008By the end of 2008 we will hear that Britney Spears has opened up her own dance studios in California.Bill Clinton will be the Vice President for President Hillary ClintonGas prices will continue to rise, I see up to $5 in California this year.Obama will be the ticket for Vice President. When Clinton becomes President, we will be opening new ...

Political Predictions
2008-05-13 13:23:00
Last week I made the following predictions about the NC and IN primary elections... NC Obama 55 Clinton 45 IN Obama 52 Clinton 48 The actual results were... NC Obama 56 Clinton 42 IN Obama 49.5 Clinton 50.5 I did very well in NC, the differences are due mostly to the fact that I did not account for the other (very minor) candidates on the ballot. They took a couple points out of the total. In IN, I knew it would be tight but thought that a late surge by Obama would carry the day. It did not. So now it is on to WV. My prediction... Clinton 65 Obama 35 Obama loses by thirty-- maybe even more. Does it matter? No. The nomination has already been decided. Obama will face McCain in the fall. Clinton gets a late in the game touchdown that doesn't even come close to changing the outcome. Let's see how it goes!
