Johnny Depp Probably Doesn?t Think This Post Is About Him
2007-11-20 19:29:00
Director Tim Burton and Johnny Depp have a professional relationship that spans several years, having had collaborated on such films as "Edward Scissorhands," "Ed Wood," "Sleepy Hollow," "Corpse Bride," and now "Sweeney Todd." When Burton chatted with press to promote his most recent film, he admitted that Johnny Depp doesn't seem to exhibit much vanity--a rare quality in an actor. "I like actors who don't look at themselves all the time, on the monitor after takes, and Johnny's one of them." "I'm not sure he's seen any of the movies we've made together." Burton also revealed that Depp's wild and crazy hairdo in "Sweeney Todd" was all Johnny's idea, indicating that the actor's inspiration come straight out of the world of high-fashion. "He modeled it after that Vogue editor." "Anna Wintower?" Only, I have a feeling that Johnny's character of "Sweeney Todd," the homicidal barber is probably a lot less terrifying than her. Indonesia's Economic Growth Probably Held Above 6% on Spending
2007-11-14 03:53:00
Indonesia's economy probably grew more than 6 percent for a second straight quarter as the lowest interest rates in at least two years bolstered consumer demand and the government increased spending. Southeast Asia's largest economy expanded 6.2 percent in the third quarter from a year earlier, after gaining 6.3 percent in the previous three months, according to a median forecast of 20 economists in a Bloomberg News survey. The Central Statistics Bureau report is due tomorrow in Jakarta. ``Private consumption is picking up as well as government consumption and investment,'' said Jasmine Robinson, an economist at Australia & New Zealand Banking Group Ltd. in Melbourne. The Muslim festive season, which ran a month until Oct. 13, also helped growth, Robinson said. Indonesia News Blog: http://indosnesos.blogspot.com-
Dana White to “Probably†Strip Sean Sherk of Title
2007-11-13 18:19:00
According to the Fight Network, “UFC president Dana White revealed today he will “probably†strip UFC lightweight champion Sean Sherk of his title if his positive steroids test is not overturned by the California State Athletic Commission when it reconvenes in Los Angeles on Tuesday, Dec. 4.”  In the mean time, BJ Penn and Joe Stevenson will face off at UFC 80 for the interim UFC Lightweight Championship title.  UFC 80 will take place on January 19, 2008, so there’s a good possibility “interim” will be converted into “The UFC Lightweight Championship”.  It will be interesting to see the results, possibly Sherk will be an example to up and coming fighters considering the possibility of using performance enhancing drugs.

I had just purchased a new jar of peach scented sugaring wax. I want to liberate myself from the razor and begin waxing the unsightly hairy areas . . . and some areas that aren't in sight. I was very disappointed to learn however, that my overgrowth wasn't quite over grown enough. Not to mention my still prickly left armpit hurt like hell after the attempt."It's not fair! I want to wax something!" Mr. Honeybell eyed me, amused. "Well, you can wax me if you want."*blink*"You want manscaped?!""Sure, why not?!"(Insert thought cloud over my head here)Heh, heh, heh! My evil plan is working out perfectly! Does he remember that time in the car when he told me I talked to much, and he just wanted to listen to music? Oh, and what about after I asked him please, let's not ever just not talk again when we're angry . . . . and that was the first thing he did after the next argument . . . . not to mention putting the empty food containers back in the cabinet!! Hell yeah I'll wax ...

Phoenix October Early Sales- Probably Up From September

There were 5569 homes sold in October 2006, so sales year-over-year are probably down around 35%.  As M indicated last month: I believe ...

I LOVE Session 9 - it's probably the only horror film that's ever actually made me sleep with the lights on, and I watch a lot of horror. The original When a Stranger Calls is another one, although the bulk of the film is more of a procedural crime thriller than a horror. The first and last twenty minutes are spellbinding, though.

Search.  It's definitely a big deal nowadays in this data-driven Information Age.  I would guess that at 25% of my time on the Internet starts with a search of some sort, probably over at the Big G.  And when you have a large number of documents, web pages, or other resources such as forums and wikis, the value of these resources is directly related to your ability to find what you're looking for amongst them. And there's good news: Search in the current version of SharePoint is really pretty effective.  If you happened to have used a previous version of SharePoint, you know that in the past Search wasn't always a winning proposition.  It didn't always find items it should have (I don't know about you, but this is kind of a deal-breaker for me), often buried the item you needed most way below your top results, and wasn't very easy to manage, extend, or enhance.  But with WSS v3 and MOSS 2007, that story has changed, drastical...

Apple imposes limits on iPhone sales to probably clamp down on iPhone Unloc
2007-10-27 17:32:00
Even though Apple numbers for the iPhone seemed to have been towards the high end of analysts expectations thanks to the 250k unlocked iPhones, they seem to be leaving no stone unturned in their cat and mouse game against iPhone hackers. Their last firmware update v1.1.1 had given quite a body blow to the iPhonce hacking effort though the latest is that the hackers are back on top with the unlocking methods also released for iPhone OS v1.1.1. Apple is now looking to crack down on the resale of iPhones by restricting iPhone sales to just 2 per customer from...
A Pointless Entry I'll Probably Delete Later

Sometimes there?s just nothing inparticular to write about, folks. Hence the lack of new entries over the last few days. Believe it or not, there?s no drama on my end? no broken bones, no burglaries, house-fires, deaths in the family or extraterrestrial abductions complete with marathon gang-probing sessions. As lame as an ?I haven?t been writing a lot lately, so I?ll write an explanation about why I haven?t been writing as a new entry!? entry is, while I?ve got your ear, allow me to direct your attention to some shit I?ve been fiddling around with. Do you know who owns your mortgage? You probably don't...
2007-10-25 05:34:00
Similar to the capital markets, there exists a "primary" market for mortgages and a "secondary" market as well. You will be very familiar with the primary market - that is the market you deal in when you first get a mortgage or negotiate the terms of your mortgage renewal with your local bank (or other mortgage provider, like a trust company, etc.).But you may be surprised to find out that even though your mortgage statement reads "Royal Bank" or "Wells Fargo" or whomever your mortgage provider is, they may no longer actually hold your mortgage. Sounds confusing?Well, what normally happens these days is that a bank will group a whole bunch of mortgages with similar terms, renewal dates and interest rates and package them together in a bundle and then "securitize" them - or in other words sell these packages to investors.  These "packages" are known as "Mortgage-Backed Securities" or MBS's. The banks do this ...
It Would Probably Be Easier, In The Long Run, For Me Just To Order A New On

When did it become some important for the batteries not to fall out?We have tens, maybe hundreds, of things in our house that require batteries, ranging from the many, many battery-powered toys the babies have to the talking alarm clock I got for sending in Pop Tart box tops.I actually have 2 talking alarm clocks, which I had intended to split up by taking one to the office and having one at home, but Sweetie made me give one to the babies by pointing out that they would need a clock in their room. She said that around the time that the babies were born and I wasn?t sleeping much at the time, so it made sense to me that they would need a clock, only now I look back at it and think Why? Why do babies need to tell time? And I?ve been proven right, because the talking alarm clock I gave the babies is on their dresser but they don?t use it, and I know they don?t use it because the batteries in it died so it won?t keep time or talk. (It has three things it says when it goes off: ?Somebod...

Not anymore I suppose, not after our very own Public Accounts Committee Chief had indicated it in his very own discrete way.Wonder what those folks would say to the proposed sending of a second tourist to space in 2010 or 2011 (MalaysiaKini has more on this) now.Are they going to just let their colleagues and superiors waste more mega millions in 2010 or 2011?Do something about it folks!Related Post:Malaysian in space VS Malaysians without space?Tired of Malaysian politics?Come and visit Orlando's Orlando Universal Resort anytime soon and have the fun of your life!Technorati Tags: malaysian, malaysia, malaysiakini

Five Facts About Wal-Mart You Probably Already Know (and Five You Might Not

Something You Probably Did Not Know About Air Fares
2007-10-18 06:18:00
Yapta.com could save you hidden money on your airfare Did you know that if you pay for an plane ticket and the airline later reduces the price for that flight, you can get a refund for the difference? I sure didn't. But how do you find out if your ticket would be eligible for this price drop refund? Go to the travel site Yapta.com and sign up for their free service. All you have to do is enter your flight information and the price you paid for your tickets. Yapta will then track that flight for you. If the airline drops the fare before your trip, Yapta will let you know and tell you how to get the refund. To see how airline fares bounce around, click on the Farecast.com link here or in the column on the left side of this blog. Farecast will let you know the probability of your fare being lowered. Yapta will also let you track flight numbers and they will alert you if the fare changes but Farecast I think does a better job of showing you the big picture by depicting the flight's...

This post of Heart's is probably directly related to the stuff going on at the Michfest forum right now. She got busted using sockpuppets (that claimed to be gay) to talk to me and then it came out that she's actually married to a man, never actually been with a woman, et cetera. It was really freakin' hilarious to see. She kept on saying she was going to stop posting on the site and then she'd turn right back around and post some more. Then in the middle of it all, she puts up this post that complains about women who criticize other women. However, at this point it's just such predictable behavior for our resident Special White Lady (self-identified rad-fem) Heart.
