On Prospect Park
2009-08-25 21:39:00
Designed by Pritzker Prize award-winning architect, Richard Meier, On Prospect Park is one of the most innovative real estate prospects in Brooklyn, New York. Its spectacular modernist design stands out among the more traditional architecture and neo-classical monuments in the neighborhood. Yet On Prospect Park is a perfect fit for this unique and distinct Brooklyn ...

Prospect of the Day - Tyreke Evans
2009-06-23 16:46:00
Tyreke Evans, Freshman, Memphis, NBA Position: PG/SG, H: 6'5, W: 221, Age: 19  Tyreke Evans, in my opinion, is one of the most underrated prospects in this draft class.   He has outstanding ball handling ability for a player of his size and great first step.   Evans drives into the paint at will and creates great separation between himself and his defender when attacking the basket.   He has the perfect measurements for a shooting guard with legit height, weight, wingspan, and reach.  ...
White Sox Prospect Update
2009-06-23 02:24:00
-1B Brandon Allen continued his torrid start in Triple-A, sporting a .417 batting average with a home run and 4 RBI's. I think its safe to say this trend won't continue all season, but his ability to adapt quickly to Triple-A pitching has been extremely impressive. After making his way around the league and adjusting the opposing team's adjustments will he prove if he is ready for the Big Show. Either way, these gaudy numbers are sure catch the eye of the White Sox front office. -RHP John Ely is someone to keep an eye on, as he has Someone to keep an eye on as he has an impressive 3.27 ERA to go with a 6-1 record for Double-A...
Prospect of the Day - Stephen Curry
2009-06-22 02:20:00
Stephen Curry, Junior, Davidson, NBA Position: PG/SG, H: 6'3, W: 181, Age: 21  The level of talent around Stephen Curry of both his teammates and his competition often makes it difficult to gauge how well he's really playing.   It's obvious that Curry carries his teams, and defenses game plan to do nothing other than stop Curry.   Given that type of attention, Curry doesn't get many open looks and always has intense coverage....
Prospect of the Day - Brandon Jennings
2009-06-21 15:31:00
Brandon Jennings, Lottomatica Roma, NBA Position: PG, H: 6'1, W: 170, Age: 19 Brandon Jennings struggled mightily playing in Europe for the year, and it will be interesting to see what effect that has on his draft stock.   Much like Holiday, his high ranking on mock draft charts has more to do with the type of prospect he was coming out of high school than anything he did this past season....
Prospect of the Day - Hasheem Thabeet
2009-06-20 18:47:00
Hasheem Thabeet, Junior, Connecticut, NBA Position: C, H: 7'2.5, W: 267, Age: 22 No need to point out the obvious, Thabeet has incredible physicals.   With a 7'6 wingspan and a 9'5 standing reach, he has the length to cause all kinds of issues inside the paint.   He's also not a complete stiff while using that length as well and is a reasonable athlete, though he didn't run/jump in the combine so we won't know how good exactly....
White Sox Prospect Roundup
2009-06-20 07:21:00
Brandon Allen, Charlotte Knights: In his first game at the Triple-A level, Allen went 3-for-4 with 2 doubles and an RBI. We could see Allen replace Gordon Beckham if he continues to play well at Triple-A. He is hitting .298 with 7 home runs in 63 games between Double-A and Triple-A. Tyler Kuhn, Winston-Salem Dash: After hitting .299 in Kannapolis, Kuhn is hitting .600 (3-for-5) in 2 games for Winston-Salem. He is a very aggressive hitter, and should continue to climb the minor league ladder if he continues to play well.Dexter Carter, Kannapolis Intimidators: Dexter Carter had an unbelievable outing tonight, pitching seven strong innings of one hit ball, striking out seven. Carter is 2-0 in June, and should stay in...
Prospect of the Day - James Harden
2009-06-19 16:47:00
James HardenSophomore, Arizona StateNBA Position: SG/SFH: 6'5, W: 222, Age: 19Harden has a nice combination of present day skills to provide an immediate impact and young age to allow for growth in the future.    The only thing holding him back from being an elite prospect is that he's not an elite athlete.   What he does lack in athleticism he does make up with excellent measurable in terms of size, standing reach, and wingspan....
Prospect Discussion
2009-06-02 22:15:00
FantasyBaseballHotStove caught up with me yesterday and had some questions about some young Giants' farmhands. Here is a transcript below:FBHS: What are the chances of Tim Alderson getting called up this season? What about Madison Bumgarner? How excited are you for the point in time where the name "Madison Bumgarner" is a household name? TC: There is a very slight chance they come up in September when the rosters expand, but I wouldn't hold my breath. With the Giants' current starting pitching depth, there is really no reason to rush them either. If I had to guess as far as when they'd make their major league debuts, I'd say we're probably looking at June 2010. That said, they've been doing all they possibly can to fast-track themselves at the minor league level. Bumgarner's gone 4-0 in four outings since his promotion to AA Connecticuit. He's also striking out over a batter an inning, good for a 4:1strikeout/walk ratio, while carrying an era of 0.78. Alderson is 2-0 in hi...
The Best of the Rest: Dustin Ackley
2009-05-25 13:49:00
The Best of the Rest: Dustin Ackley In the baseball world, there is a consensus that flamethrowing pitcher Stephen Strasburg will be the first to be chose in the 2009 first year player draft. But after him at #2? Odds are it will be UNC 1B/CF Dustin Ackley. Ackley, a 3rd year player at UNCcan really hit, ...
I?m Amped for Rick Porcello?s MLB Debut vs Jays
2009-04-09 13:14:00
Rick Porcello’s MLB Debut Last season while on a trip to Florida I was lucky enough to see Rick pitch. And he was flat out awesome. His stuff has been discussed on various sites. Here’s a MLB.com scouting report: His 2-seam fastball is one of the best I’ve seen in person, regardless of level. That’s saying quite ...

Sunday Prospect Fun
2008-11-30 15:49:00
John Sickels of minorleagueball.com has ranked his Chicago Cubs Top 20 Prospects. Some of the names have been mentioned here, others haven't. I'll just post his top 10: 1) Josh Vitters, 3B, Grade B+: Hopefully the home run power should start to come in 2009. Great contact hitting skills and still very young. 2) Jeff Samardzija, RHP, Grade B: I have no idea what to expect here. Could be great, could be horrible, track record very erratic. 3) Ryan Flaherty, SS, Grade B: Looks like a solid all-around player to me. 4) Andrew Cashner, RHP, Grade B-: High ceiling due to fastball and slider, command issues may slow progress. 5) Hak-Ju Lee, SS, Grade B-: Scouting reports look great, but want to see some numbers before ranking higher. 6) Jay Jackson, RHP, Grade B-: I LOVE this guy...good athlete, former philosophy major, throws hard, throws strikes, great pro debut. I think he is underrated by other sources. 7) Tyler Colvin, OF, Grade C+: Still worried about his plate discipline. 8) Welin...
Arizona Fall League Prospect Bios (Sixth Week 2008 Season)
2008-11-18 15:37:00
AFL Prospect Bios (Sixth Week 2008 Season) Cleveland Indians prospect Josh Tomlin was one of the pitchers knocked around in the 28 - 1 “AFL supersized beatdown” on October 20th. Outside of this start he’s been decent and in 28 IP he’s struck out 28 against only 3 walks. This is the norm for Tomlin, super ...
Arizona Fall League Prospect Bios (Fifth Week 2008 Season)
2008-11-11 14:32:00
AFL Prospect Bios (Fifth Week 2008 Season) Eric Young… where have I heard that name before? Yep, he’s the son of former major league second baseman Eric Young. If you’re a make-up guy, check out this quote from Baseball America; Seeing no value in sitting at home after the 2007 season, he invited himself to instructional league ...

2008-06-08 22:36:00
Willy is a great horse, has been professionally trained, will ride western but prefers english. He is great with voice commands and pressure, direct reins, excellent ground manners. Could make good show prospect with further training. Willy is not spooky, very intelligent, loves the trails and loves to learn, not aggressive with other horses. Can be a bit unpredictable and requires an experienced rider. He does better with women, once he trusts you will do just about anything for you. Must go to good home.

Beautiful Huntseat endurance prospect 5yr TB mare
2008-06-08 05:21:00
This mare athletic, willing, and gorgeous. She accepted a westen saddle without a flinch. After my first 3 rides she was leg yielding. This is after being a pasture pet for 2 years. She was raced and has been pinfired. I have been working her for about 3 months and have not noticed anything. If you know anything about racing secretariat raced for a year after being pinfired so whatever it was is healed as far as I can tell. This mare goes anywhere I ask and is a very fast learner. She is also very willing.
Great Young Prospect
2008-06-08 02:52:00
Uno is a beautiful cropout paint. She recently turned three and is continueing to grow. I purchased Uno as a 2 yr old with NO expierience with anything at all. She is coming along nicely. She is a quick learner and very willing. I have started her under saddle but she still needs to be finished out. She has a stocky build to her and a nice hip. This horse will make a good summer project for anyone. She would also prosper in any area you would like. She has tons of speed and is very quick on her feet. She is full of love and is not afraid to show it !!
H, J prospect, 11 yo. TB Sale or Lease
2008-06-08 01:53:00
For Sale or Lease. By Kris S (out of Skep). Flashy, very well mannered, no vices, friendly and charismatic personality. 3 ft hunter/jumper prospect, jumps beautifully. Possible low level dressage. Has had extensive training on the flat. Easy lead changes, great mover, smooth, very flexible, and willing to work and try new things. Energetic but definately not unmanagable. Works well on longe, responds to voice commands. Needs a dedicated and experienced rider who has time to bring him to his potential. He's hard to let go. Wish more than anything that I could continue to be that lucky rider, but it is time for Graduate school. Call or E-mail for more information.

2008-06-06 23:26:00
Arizona's Angel or Angel is a very getile horse. she has been ridden by a thirteen year old and mostly adults she is not one for young children for she is too fast. but if your looking for a very fast young horse, she's the one. she loves to jump! Amazingly she has some really pretty moves on her, we havent seen any of these moves exept is dressage. and she does this naturally!!! if someone was to take her and calm her down she could be a real dressage champion. come see all of our other horses at carsleyhorseranch.com, we do have alot of kid safe horses.
Beautiful 3 Yr Old Grade Paint Mare Broodmare Prospect
2008-06-06 05:56:00
This pretty mare is ready to go to a new home. The current owners can not keep her since they are moving to town. We do not know much about her background, but she is a pretty mare that really moves nice. Break her and ride her or use her to maybe get a colored mule or paint foals. Just a nice little mare. I would guess she is between 14-15 hands. She is about 3 years old and ready to start doing what ever you want to train her in.
‘Dream ticket’ a nightmare prospect, says Carter
2008-06-05 11:01:00
Sudhan @11:00 CET Jonathan Freedland | The Guardian, June 5, 2008 Carter described the idea of an Obama-Clinton ticket as ‘the worst mistake that could be made’. Photograph: Getty Images Barack Obama should not pick Hillary Clinton as his vice-presidential nominee, former president Jimmy Carter has told the Guardian. “I think it would be the worst mistake that could be made,” Carter said, adding: “That would just accumulate the negative aspects of both candidates.” The former president, who formally endorsed the Illinois senator late on Tuesday, cited opinion polls showing 50% of US voters with a negative view of Senator Clinton. In terms that might discomfort the Obama camp, he said: “If you take that 50% who just don’t want to vote for Clinton and add it to whatever element there might be who don’t think Obama is white enough or old enough or experienced enough or because he’s got a middle name that sounds Arab, you could have the worst of both worlds.” C...

A Good Long Term Prospect-Neyveli Lignite
2008-06-03 16:12:00
Aditya Rao If you had bought a single share of Neyveli Lignite a year ago then as of today you would have nearly doubled the value of that share. That?s a gain of almost 100 percent. But by no means should this particular stock be seen in the light of a short term gain because the majority stake holder in this company is the government but at the same time it is an excellent long term... Dun 2 yr. old Stallion prospect, Great Pedigree
2008-05-27 08:38:00
Bubba is a great stallion and show prospect. His pedigree speaks for itself and you can see it at www.allbreedpedigree.com. He is Grandsired by Coolest and Sir Love to Buckalot, each having numerous world champions under their belts. He also goes back to Mr. Impressive, CL Buckley and Ima Cool Skip. He should throw lots of duns and buckskins!!! His papers are pending with the ABRA so he will be double registered. He is N/N but very heavily muscled with a wonderful head and neck. He is also Incentive Fund. He is currently in show shape and ready for the ring. I have also started him under saddle and he is doing well. He is a very soft mover and would make a great all-around horse too. He, of course, loads, clips, bathes and is good with the farrier. I have more photos, so please feel free to call or e-mail and I'll get them too you.
Flashy, Talented, Reining, Cutting Prospect!!
2008-05-27 06:57:00
Nikki has been started under saddle and doing great! She is very willing and wonderful to work with. On her 8th ride I rode her in a big arena with 25 horses and it didn't bother her one bit, and I also just jump on her with only a halter and lead rope and ride her around. And to an addition to her great mind she is very athletic, packs her head low naturally, and a pretty mover, she is especially smooth to ride! Make her your next reining or cutting prospect! Anyone will be lucky to have her! May be homezygous for the black and cremello gene. Only selling due to moving across the country for school and I am not able to keep her or else I would never dream of selling her. To see her Sire Dam go to www.oakknollpaints.com Must go to a good home! She will continue in training until sold. I have a lot more photos just ask and I will send them your way.

Roping Prospect
2008-05-27 05:53:00
This gelding has had lots of ground work but my neice had a baby and so he never did get started under saddle. He is a big strong gelding making him a good roping horse prospect.
All-Around Prospect
2008-05-27 01:00:00
We raised this little mare. Some of the same bloodlines as Karissa's awesome barrel mare, Bailey. I hate to get rid of this one. This mare has 2 speeds fast and faster!! It's all or nothing with her. She's been started by Karissa. No Buck and really moves out. SMOOTH!! I think she's going to make a wicked barrel and pole horse. When she runs, head is level with her withers and she can flat out fly. To a good home only. She's really sweet tempered but I think as her training progresses she'll need an experienced rider because she's so quick and also someone that has good hands.
APHA ALL Round, Roping Cow Show Prospect
2008-05-26 00:17:00
Joker is a 16h 3 yr. old very loud sorrel and white overo gelding that has had limited time under saddle thus far but has done well with his training. He would make a nice All Round Paint or a roping/cow horse. He has Natural Cow Sense. He will work a cow in a pasture, up and down a fence all day by himself! Not afraid to get up on them and even turn them with his head. He is very protective of cows and will keep other horses away. Yet let them lick and even play mount him!! I truly believe that cow work is his calling. He is a gentle giant. We have owned him since he was a weanling. Not being into cow horses I am looking for someone to give him a place doing what he was born to do. He has great bloodlines, even going back to yellow mount. His sire has APHA show points and ROMs. He is current on all shots and coggins and worming. His price is 4500/neg. to the right place. Come see him today!!! May trade for Horse Trailer
REGISTERED QUARTER PONY- Show Prospect
2008-05-26 00:10:00
Tyke is a 6 year old Registered Quarter Pony with great confirmation and attitude. He is a chestnut with a star snip. He stands at a stocky 13 hands.Very easy keeper. Great on trails, very quite and slow. Good size for both youth or adult. He is suitable for an intermediate rider/beginner in a controlled setting. He is not a finished pony. He still needs work in the canter. He has given lessons to kids as young as four in a controlled setting (round pen) in both walk/trot. He is very gentle, just needs more time on him. He has had beginner kids as old as 15 ride him in a pasture setting and he does well as long as they are quick learners and pick up how to handle a horse in that type of setting. My four year old can do pretty much anything with him on the ground. He is only 6 and still has much to learn, great attitude just not bomb proof yet.Looks great under western or english saddle. Would make a great show prospect of any discipline. Come Fall in Love! Call today 828-234-9...
