2008-06-06 16:20:00 It's actually very easy for me to write the stories you find here on AfterDark. I'm a pretty creative guy and I have lots of ideas and manage to keep the words coming pretty well. I'm lucky that way; I rarely suffer from writers' block... with these stories, at least.In other arenas, I don't fare so well. One of the hardest things for me to write, in fact, are sympathy cards. I never know what to say, or how much to say, or how to say it. It's a lot easier to write about people getting their arms ripped off by vampires than it is to tell someone just how sorry you are that they've suffered a loss.But I have to send sympathy cards from time to time, and I've learned a couple of secrets. First, don't worry so much about how you're expressing your feelings. The important thing is that the person receiving the card knows that you care about them and are sharing their sorrow.
