Bsicamente la idea es la siguiente, esta pagina inglesa se ofrece descarga legal de msica de manera gratuita, financiando el pago de regalas a diskera, artistas y a la misma Qtrax poblando de publicidad la interfase y sometiendo al usuario a mensajes publicitarios en cada reproduccin, dicha permitir transferencia de archivos va P2P, es decir entre usuarios (tipo ares o limewire), esta caracterstica aun esta deshabilitada por no haber llegado a acuerdos con las diskeras mas grandes, pero las negociaciones existen. Los archivos mp3 estarn protegidos mediante el protocolo DRM de Windows (el cual personalmente odio!), que algunos de ustedes ya deben de conocer, cuando se descarga una cancin en limewire k no pueden abrir es por k esta protegida por este protocolo. Well just this morning, web site Coolfer.Com reported that Qtrax, which missed its midnight ET launch, did a media blitz! It said it has deals with all four majors (and reiterated the claim in a press release today). But yesterday Warner Music Group and Universal Music Group denied that claim. Today, Sony BMG (Reuters) and EMI (Los Angeles Times) both said they do not have deals with the P2P service. Allan Klepfisz, Qtrax's CEO, says the service will go ahead and launch with the four majors' catalogs. When asked if he is worried about a lawsuit, Klepfisz replied, "The answer is nobody has threatened us with a thing."
