2008-04-22 01:27:00 Los Queens of the stone age son una de las pocas bandas del momento que se podría decir que rockean en serio, es decir, entendiendo esto como que no se guían por la moda o por un estilo determinado y que suenan sinceros.Lo suyo es la polenta (con resultado desparejo eso sí) pero con la pasión y el sonido sucio de una banda de garage.Para graficar esto no es lo ideal mostrar el corto de difusión de su anterior y más famoso álbum, Songs for the deaf (2002) pero haciendo honor a la etiqueta blogger es un temazo.Un rockito power con toques casi funkys, muy bien tocado, con un buen video pero en el cual "la gran" diferencia es el baterista invitado/estrella. The first three songs are performed by Kyuss and the last three songs by guitarist Josh Homme's next band, Queens of the Stone Age, and is widely considered to be Queen's first release.This rare, out-of-print CD includes a Kyuss cover of the song 'Into the Void' by Black Sabbath. 'If Only Everything' is an early raw version of the song 'If Only', which appeared on Queens of the Stone Age's eponymous debut album. This disc also contains the original version of 'Born to Hula' which would later be re-recorded as 'Born to Hula 2000' and appear as a b-side on one edition of the 'Lost Art of Keeping a Secret' single, and later as a track on the Stone Age Complications EP.
