First we had the debacle with Lady Vera Parker aka Thomas Flannagan allegedly defrauding people on Craigslist and now a drag queen beauty pageant contestant accused of beating a judge with a trophy. Leroy Tinch of Evanston was arrested on July 6th after he competed in a Pageant at the 5th City Center on W Jackson Blvd. Anthony Jackson, apparently an associate of Tinchs was not happy that a judge cast a vote for another contestant. 2009-03-14 10:42:00 Food from slot tournament at Four Queens in January 2009. We've been to many slot tournaments, but this was our first time at a Four Queens slot tournament. It was a little bit different from other casinos' tournaments. This Four Queens tournament was only 5 minutes for each session, and there were only 10 slot machines, and there were no chairs, so you had to stand up while you're playing. Also people who were at the tournament were mostly older people, like average 50 years old, I think. Usually slot tournaments are 10-15 minutes each session, and there are usually about 60 machines, and of course there are chairs at each machine, so you can sit while you're playing.This was the food during the tournament. The fact I live in Sussex near the south coast may give you an idea of how much I wanted to see them. I rarely drive 3.5 hours for 200 miles to see a band play. I have really only discovered them as listening experience this year. I had been previously only aware of them without knowing their music. I now rate them as one of my favourite bands. I find Mark Halls lyrics to be so honest and they cut right to the heart of whatever he is writing about, be it struggles with the Christian life or kicking Christians up the backside to be more true to the word of God and less wordly. Anyway I just wanted to say they are fantastic live. Very open and direct about their faith and plainly love worshipping God during their gigs. A blessing indeed!
