Questioning Pagan Gospel
2008-05-14 00:00:00

Microsoft has been a huge supporter behind Vista; however, investors are beginning to question rather or not the operating system will be able to gain corporate sales. Since for companies to upgrade to Vista, it most likely would require them to purchase additional hardware as well as software licenses many companies have planned to put off the costly upgrade.
Post Jury Questioning video clips---
2008-04-25 21:15:00
Ryan and Adam were fired up last night after the jury questions--at the beginning of this clip, Adam is talking about Joshuah. (he's incredibly irritated with Josh)---Then, Ryan talks about Sharon (they say "hoops" came out during jury questions)---and that she came to him with a deal of final two. Adam says, 'That's ok---you were loyal to me"---and "I had your back the whole game, dude"---In this clip, Ryan fusses that Big Brother allows them to ask questions about their moves in the game. (mmmm, yep, that's about how it works!) Adam says he's glad his family is coming to the finale (hopes they are) because he doesn't want to hang out with any of 'these people'. Questioning Christianity.
2008-03-29 14:36:00
My blogging of the oddities of the New Testament is still on a hiatus. Mainly because of time constraints and because I'm approaching the Bible differently right now.I'd rather focus on some overarching questions regarding the Bible then simply comment every oddity in the text. So if you're interested you can read my latest comment, in this case about how the biblical God is portrayed in the book of Job: Evil also comes from God.You can of course stumble it too if you like! Thank you and have a nice day.

Questioning Experience
2008-03-11 21:50:00
In the days leading up to the contests in Ohio and Texas, the Clinton campaign began to push the notion that Barack Obama lacks the experience to be president. Most notably, the 3AM ad made that case that Obama lacks commander-in-chief credentials, but Clinton herself also pressed the experience issue frequently on the trail:I think that I have a lifetime of experience that I will bring to the White House. Senator John McCain has a lifetime of experience that he'd bring to the White House. And Senator Obama has a speech he gave in 2002.With Clinton going on to win the primaries in both states, the question of experience has clearly come to the foreground. It is a fair question to raise, one that Republicans will no doubt bring up in the general election. For Clinton, the issue provides a strong political footing that has been difficult to find in the race against Obama this cycle. Poll after poll shows Clinton testing better than Obama on the experience issue. Obama, after all...

House reversal on mudflow questioning
2008-02-21 08:24:00
House of Representatives Deputy Speaker Soetardjo Soerdjogoeritno was criticized Wednesday by fellow lawmakers for reversing a decision to question the government on the mudflow in Sidoarjo, East Java. During a plenary session of the House on Tuesday, presided over by Soetardjo, lawmakers decided to knock back a report from a House special team, which concluded the mudflow was a natural phenomenon, not man-made. During the session, lawmakers criticized the report, which they said sided with Lapindo Brantas Inc., the company widely blamed for the disaster. Soetardjo then offered the session two options -- to continue the team's work or to move forward with plans to question the government about its response to the mudflow and its treatment of victims. The majority of lawmakers chose to question the government, at which point Soetardjo ended the session, with a decision to summon the government over the disaster. To the surprise of lawmakers who attended Tuesday's session, Soetardjo...

Questioning the Church
2007-12-20 18:59:00
I am not persuaded that “home churches” are the only way to do church. I think there is very little in Scripture about the “how” of church. As long as disciples are being made, and we are loving God, and loving others, I can be flexible on most other matters of the church. However, one website ...
Christina Ricci Questioning The Hair Too, Ricci

Christina Ricci needs to move past the Wintour/Suri/Willy Wonka hair already. It was cute, but now it’s getting a little creepy. She looks like a Sanrio character. I just want to take a fuzzy pen and shove it up her ass and give it to one of my little cousins for Christmas. They love that ...

Questioning Innovation: Apple, NLE's and Market strategy
2007-11-26 14:00:00
'Innovation' is a sippery concept. Much like the word 'Intuitive' it is bandied around with much gay abandon (usually by marketing directives) without a truthful engagement with what it really means.A dictionary definition of Innovation can be read as : "the act of introducing something new: something newly introduced""advanced: ahead of the times""producing something like nothing done or experienced or created before"When we view the technology sector, and in particular digital creative production tools, it is most often Apple that holds a popular perception of Innovation and of being Innovative. But is the mantle warranted? Is Innovative - in the true sense of the word; that of being without precedent - really the best way to describe Apple's creative tools?Frank Capria at Capria.TV makes the argument that in regard to creative tools such as Non Linear Editing systems, what Apple has sold with unprecedented marketing finesse as 'Innovation' is really much more accurately de...

Libertarians Questioning Paul?s Connection To Extremist Right
2007-11-20 22:37:00
While Paul supporters see him as a threat to the status quo, I’ve seen his campaign as more of a threat to libertarian ideas. Confusing Paul’s social conservativism with libertarianism reinforces the view that libertarians are just Republicans who have tried marijuana. Unfortunately, while I would hope that libertarians might have some influence on the ...
A Reflective Sunday: Questioning Faith
2007-11-19 16:00:00
Blind faith is fatal. Although gone are the days when you question anything about God or religion and it is considered a treason or you are labeled a heretic. Today, your faith has to stand intelligent scrutiny otherwise you will be labeled a blind fanatic or in some segment of our society ?a lunatic. Of course, that is the extreme for others are forgiving and they will just tolerate you for being different.Faith must be grounded on perceived solid facts and truth. However, believing the existence of God, or your ?god? (whatever you wanna call him/her, please note I am not being sacrilegious here nor do I want to offend anybody ?my apologies) is not easy sometimes especially when you see and hear sufferings and miseries around you, and worst when you are in the middle of it, let alone you are the victim yourself. Faith here is tested, your faith that is.How do you strengthen the moorings of your faith? How do you justify it intelligently?Related Posts:Spirituality RevisitedA R...
Questioning the breastfeeding & IQ link [Gene Expression]
2007-11-18 08:39:00
A few weeks ago I reported some research that seemed to show a relationship between a gain in IQ due to breastfeeding and a particular genetic variant. Looks like I spoke too soon. p-ter has the goods: The fact that they have a measure of maternal IQ but don’t directly include it in the published multiple regression suggests that they tried it, but didn’t like the results. They didn’t include parental phenotype in any of their previous studies, but there, at least, there was some functional evidence linking the polymorphism and the phenotype. Here, there’s nothing. Considering the fact mentioned in a previous post that other researchers find absolutely no evidence for link between IQ and breastfeeding (the entire basis for this study), this has to be classified as highly questionable. And regardless of the veracity of any gene-environment interactions here, the huge effects of breastfeeding on IQ shown by the authors are clearly artefacts of the heritabilit...

Questioning Techniques
2007-10-17 15:16:00
Questioning Techniques   Let’s look at some specific questioning techniques. You have a couple of kinds of questions you can ask; and if you’ve done any sales studying before, you know what they are. And I’m going to repeat them because they are worth repeating. There are open-end questions. Any question that’s going to be answered by an explanation is an open-ended question. You want to ask as many of these as you can in the discovery phase. You want to ask as many of these as you can while you’re building agreement because you want to know as much as you can so you can know which way to take this prospect down the road to creating urgency and going for the close. You’re also going to ask some close-ended questions, too. These are questions that are answered “yes” or “no.” You need to ask these when you need specific information, when you need that prospect to make a clear decision about one option or another. It’s a good idea to use a mix of ...

Security Questioning Tactics for Your Construction Site
2007-10-13 23:20:00
Daytime security is an often-overlooked aspect of construction security. To keep unauthorized “visitors” off your site some security experts recommend that everyone be required to wear a standard uniform. This is good to some extent, but nothing - and I mean nothing - beats the good old QUESTION as a line of defense. Training your on-site ...
Questioning Allegiances
2007-10-04 20:00:00
I don’t recall ever doing a sports post before so here is a first! Football is generally the only sport I’ll watch and that’s only if I have no projects to work on or cartoons to watch; however, Scott-O-Rama in his challenge fever with Rcktman pitched the following curve ball at me: With Denver being midway between Chicago and Phoenix, whose side are you taking? I thought about it for a whopping five seconds only to realize that I don’t think he even acknowledged that the Rockies may actually win their wild card position and make the ‘real’ play-offs. Hmmph! Baseball isn’t my favorite sport except when it comes to nap time. The constant drone of the crowd and the almost hushed voices of the announcers make for some of the best white noise available. I then weighed my options: Phoenix is my birthplace Chicago is where I had the most decadent night of my life Denver is where all my friends are and where my life has settled Add to this that I...

Questioning Madam Secretary about the Mercy Credits of Genocidaires
2007-09-25 12:07:00
by Michael Gillespie Madeline Albright Stumps for the Clinton Campaign in Iowa The Clinton campaign’s decision to put Madeline Albright on the stump has reminded many Arab Americans and other long-time observers of U.S. Middle East foreign policy of the 13-year-long Iraq sanctions regime that killed some 1.5 million innocent Iraqis, including a large number of children. In 1996, Albright, a staunch supporter of the Iraq sanctions while serving during the Clinton administration as U.S. Ambassador to the United Nations, told Leslie Stahl of CBS’s 60 Minutes that, despite the deaths of 500,000 Iraqi children, “We think the price is worth it.” Albright has since characterized that comment, but not the Iraq sanctions policy itself, as “one of the worst mistakes I ever made.” In 2003, with the assistance of a collaborator, Bill Woodward, Albright wrote a memoir, Madam Secretary. In 2006, she followed that with another book, described as an amplification of her...

Clinton's Questioning of General Petraeus
2007-09-17 17:23:00
http://clinton.senate.gov/news/-statements/details.cfm?id=28241-0&& I thought it would appropriate here to post the relevant material regarding Hillary's questions and the context of her statement to General Petraeus. In my opinion, it shows more than anything else, that Rudy is reaching to high heaven to make points with his base, and, that the General is reaching pretty far himself to paint a prettier picture of the situation in Iraq than is warranted. September 11, 2007 Senator Clinton: I want to thank both of you, General Petraeus, Ambassador Crocker, for your long and distinguished service to our nation. Nobody believes that your jobs or the jobs of the thousands of American forces and civilian personnel in Iraq are anything but incredibly difficult. But today you are testifying about the current status of our policy in Iraq and the prospects of that policy. It is a policy that you have been ordered to implement by the president. And you have been made the de facto spokesmen...
Questioning Shakespeare's authorship, the ultimate compliment
2007-09-09 17:39:00
Did William Shakespeare write the plays and sonnets of William Shakespeare? Yes, he did but perhaps with an asterisk. But many influential people within the serious arts community don't think so or, at least, aren't sure. Their central argument against his authorship is that the known William Shakespeare was a commoner who never left England so how could he possibly have understood the arcane practices of the English hoi paloi, never mind the intricate folkways and mores of Italy? Impossible, they say or improbable. There have been a spate of books in recent years delving into this mystery and offering probable alternatives, everyone from the Earl of Oxford to Christopher Marlowe to nobleman Edward de Vere and Francis Bacon. But many suggest, as does this BBC article Actors question Bard's authorship that no one person could possibly have written the works of Shakespeare, that would have been literally and literarily superhuman; Shakespeare must have been a composite. Alm...
