Buckwheet needs questions. 50,000,000,of them!!
2019-09-08 17:00:00 I'm Buckwheet. Those who know me know that I ask a lot of questions. Well I'm going to try to get in the Guinness Book of world records for having the most questions ever posted. My goal is 50,000,000 in 18 months. It's simple. Post as many questions as possible. They must be three words or more. No cussing(in English)because my children and their friends will be submitting questions too. "Why am I doing this?"(by the way, that's the first question on the list) I want to prove that I can get everyone (the world) working on one project. Hey This will take posts from all over the world to be successful. "What do you get?"( question #2 ) Well everyone all over the world who helps will have their name in the Guinness book of world records forever!! So hook me up. We Bramptonians know A LOT of people so this should be a breeze. Since Georgetown only has a population of 20, they don't have to participate.LOL This will also be a way to hook up with some old friends from back in the da...
Core Java Interview Questions
2015-04-03 17:38:00 Every year many thousand technocrats choose Java careers across the globe, after formally taking Java training classes, courses and/or Java certifications like SCJP etc. While appearing for technical interviews, these budding Java programmers face variety of technical questions, are asked to write code snippets to prove their mettle in relevant topics of Java. They are not only assessed on language basics but also on their familiarity with Java development tools, optimization of Java code, load tests, securing code through Java obfuscation and more. It is their performance in these interviews which decides their career fate and is highly dependent on to-the-point and not too verbose answers. What prompted me to create a blog on frequently asked and and not so frequently asked tricky Java interview questions? The answer is,as I have been through various technical interviews on Java and related technologies for all my career spent with this fascinating technology so I thought of sharing these...
Java EE Interview Questions
2015-04-02 12:00:00 I hope my post on Java Interview Questions will be doing some good to all my targeted audience on Core Java and in this blog, I have essentially focussed on interview questions in several Java EE technologies(erstwhile J2EE).Apart from Java EE, I will also be covering interview questions on most widely used open source technologies like Struts,Hibernate,Spring and Velocity and more.I have constantly been asked by my readers to put something on personal interview questions, consequently, you may like to read my post on personal interview questions prior talking about Java Enterprise Edition.Sun Microsystems introduced Java EE 5 specification under JSR 244 and the final release was made public on May ,2006.Java EE has become a cornerstone technology for enterprise level web based solution development. It has more than three million downloads and more than twenty six vendors' application servers support this specification.I believe,it is significant to go through an introduction of Ja...

2008-06-30 16:39:00 In another attempt to join the 21st century, we are thinking about subscribing to Netflix. According to the Netflix website, the service is greatest thing since sliced bread. (Actually, the website proclaims Netflix as "The BEST Way To Rent Movies.") So today?s questions are all about Netflix. If you have/had Netflix, is it worth it? What type of plan do you have? Is Blockbuster better than Netflix? Please feel free to leave your thoughts and opinions in the comments section.Thank you!

iPhone 3G announced for July 11th availability, but lots of questions remai
2008-06-09 22:23:00 Wow, the WWDC keynote by Steve Jobs, live coverage here, went on for almost two hours with the first hour mainly devoted to application demonstrations for apps that won’t be available until July, September, and beyond. It concluded in the last few minutes with the announcement of the iPhone 3G that is priced extremely low (especially if you are outside the US) for a high end device with excellent stated battery life and fast download speeds. It was also a bit of a downer as the device won’t be available for another month. read it here blogs.zdnet.com

After Effects Lens Flare with Transparent Background
2008-06-09 18:33:00 Question from a student I had in my After Effects training class in Hartford, Connecticut: "Hey Damon, You showed me how to get a lens flare with nothing else (no backgrounds/alpha keyed) on the screen using a luma matte...I think! Do you remember the actions necessary to produce such an effect? I keep ending up with a black lens flare! Help! Thanks again, Bryan" Duplicating the solid with the lens flare and using the top one as a track matte can accomplish this. Here are the steps; you can download an example of this as well. Step one: Create a solid and add the lens Flare filter to it, get the lens flare just how you would like it and duplicate the solid. Step two: on the top solid added the Hue/Saturation filter and take the master saturation down to -100, Also add the Levels filter and slide the white point slider till it just touches the beginning of the levels histogram. Step three: Set the bottom solid to use the top solid as a track matte (Luma Matte) That's ...

8 Ways To Ease Yourself Out Of Nosy Questions Without Being Rude
2008-06-09 11:35:00 If you have been reading my blog for a while, you would have noticed that I rarely talk about myself. I am no different in "real life" either. I consider myself to be a private person. My closest friends' and family, are the only ones that have the "inside scoop" on my personal life. So, you can imagine that I have a lot of experience fending off nosy questions! Most of the time when someone asks you a nosy question, you are caught off guard. It can make you annoyed, angry and even depressed. Think about it. If you have been working on your fitness and trying to loose weight for the past 3 months, and out of nowhere you meet an old colleague who asks, "Are you pregnant?"The list goes on..."Why were you laid off?""When are you two planning on getting married?""Is your daughter adapted?""How come you still are single?"I am sure that you can add a thing or two, as well! For each person the questions rub a different sensitive point. On the other hand for some of you, these questions may...

Questions for John McCain about WMD Deceptions
2008-06-07 23:28:00 As is well known, the Senate Select Committee last week issued a long-awaited report which found that President Bush and VP Cheney exaggerated and misrepresented intelligence information about WMD in Iraq, to fire up America's war on Iraq. Some commentators have called for Bush and Cheney's impeachment. That would indeed be justified - not only because of the deception, but the fundamental unconstitutionality of an undeclared war - but I'm wondering what John McCain's response is to all of this.He says he opposes the way the war was waged, at first.Does he also oppose the way the war was gotten into, via a President and Vice President deliberately misrepresenting facts to the American people?Would McCain be in favor of Bush and Cheney's impeachment? If not, why not? Is it ok in his book to go to war based on lies? The media should press McCain on this point.listen to Light On Light Through podcast also iTunes Paul Levinson's books

2009 Mustang production ends early; 2010 engine questions persist
2008-06-06 23:29:00 Ford announced this week that production of the 2009 Mustang will end early - less than a half model year. That means the restyled 2010 Mustang will arrive well before the year 2010 - probably around March of 2009 so that it will compete on day 1 of the Camaro's availability. But will it be competitive? The 2009 Mustang glass roof option is shown below. The glass roof can be offered on the 2009 model because the roofline of the 2010 is identical - so no changes are necessary. The rest of the 2010 is simply a "top hat" restyle, as it's known in the industry. The measurements of the car are identical, all hard points are identical. External sheetmetal is updated and there are slight updates to the dashboard and interior: ( http://www.drivingenthus-iast.net/sec-blog/2008/06/04.ht-ml#a2414 ). These kind of skimpy updates are all that can be done when when your company is unprofitable, your corporate HQ is in hock to your banks, sales are way down (especial...
Questions?
2008-06-06 19:37:00 Yes, this post is late. And yes, it's rather a sorry excuse for a post, as posts go.But it is kind of important. In a way. Or something. Hey, you know what? Go read some other blog if you don't like it. (Of COURSE I am kidding, because it makes me very sad when I think y'all are cheating on me with other bloggers.)Anyway. Because it is quite warm out again today, and because I am a bit stressed about a few things, and because I went out for a drink last night with some other Moms from Princess's school and was roundly ignored--yes, me ignored!--all night, and because I am gearing up to start my Summer Series in the next few weeks (still figuring on doing agents, unless anyone has any other suggestions)... I am opening up to questions.I'm still a little lonely from last night and want some attention, lol. No, seriously, I thought this might be fun. Maybe we can get some people to delurk? That might be fun, although Friday isn't a great day for that as my hit count falls on Frid...

Two Questions and an Announcement
2008-06-05 23:04:00 I'm preempting the Thursday Shout-Out this week for an announcement and a couple of questions. First, the announcement:I'm going to be taking a little break from blogging next week. I'm in the process of lining up some very special guest posters to keep you entertained while I'm gone. I'll be back tomorrow with the Mystery Switch contest results, but I'll be out all next week. Now for the questions.A few of you may have heard that I wrote a book - a little volume called Antisocial Commentary: From the Secret Files of the Mattress Police. It's a collection some of my best writing from the first year of this blog, plus some original stuff. It retails for $11.95 plus shipping, but occasionally I have offered copies for $9.95 with free shipping. I can do this because (1) I don't really care about making any money on the book; and (2) If I buy a bunch of copies, I can get them at enough of a discount that I'm not losing (much) money by selling them for that amount. Since ...

OLED TV: Persistent Questions About the Newest TV Technology on the Market
2008-06-05 14:33:00 The Sony XEL-1 OLED TV was introduced with quite a bit of fanfare a few months ago. Although the 11 inch screen is small, most who have seen it agree that its a pretty picture and slim beyond belief at only 3 millimeters. For those who are interested in the sleekest and newest gadgets its nearly irresistible. It appears however, that for the average consumer there may be good reason to wait for the technology to mature further. Certainly, as with most technologies, it is anticipated that prices may drop as manufacturing processes mature and numbers of displays increase. At $2,500 for an 11 TV screen, OLED is currently cost prohibitive for many consumers. Screen size is also expected to expand as additional hurdles are cleared.Recent news stories are also indicating that longevity may still need to be addressed. Sony has reported an anticipated lifespan of 30,000 hours but more recently others have indicated their expectations are nearly half of that as ...

Screening Questions for past tenant
2008-06-04 23:45:00 I am getting calls from a government agency to screen one of my past tenants for employment. I have answered the typical screening questions:- Did said person rent from you?- Dates of rental?- Any lease violations?- Did they pay their rent?- Would you rent to them again? The tenant still owes me $450 and since the tenant didn't have me down as a previous landlord (I wonder why) they are asking to see the lease and other supporting documentation. I don't have a problem providing it to them, but I suspect that my tenant may have a problem with it if they are denied employment. What are my obligations in this case?

Funny Dating Questions
2008-06-04 05:19:00 Striking up a good conversation with your date can be as challenging as coming up with real good sensible questions to ask her. Common questions like ?where do you live? or ?what do you work as? are really typical and boring. Others try to be a little bit cheeky and try asking joke-like questions instead. Some leaves a good impression on their date, but others are immediately struck off the dating list. Learn to be the smart AND cheeky one, and ask funny dating questions, instead of the mundane ones that bore your dates to death. ?Funny? can mean two different things. Funny hilarious or Funny weird. The idea here is not to be funny hilarious. Funny dating questions can be pretty lame or sometimes when there is too much jokes around, it just spoils the whole dating mood. Dating questions like... You: Did you know that Elvis died ? Her: Yeah. You:.. his hair! (quickly) Some guys can be pretty good with these kind of tricky cheeky questions, so if you think that you are one of them, th...
