A quick look at STI
2008-07-23 07:04:00 It is notable that despite Dow Jones Index recording a new low for 2008, STI is still trading above the 7 month low. The gap from 2832 to 2878 may act as a technical support for the near term and we observed that the RSI is showing a bullish divergence. There may be overhead resistance from the 20-day moving average. DISCLAIMER: This is not an inducement to buy or sell. You should do your own analysis on top of my postings.
A Quick Look At Russia!
2008-05-21 10:47:00 Hello,In the last few days in Russia there have been interesting tidbits of information.1. Vodka is on the decline by 2%..... but the catch is that champagne and sparkling wines are up 16%, cognac production increased 19.6% and the output of low alcohol drinks (beer) doubled.2. An Estonian court said Monday the trial of a 88-year-old WWII veteran and Hero of the Soviet Union on charges of genocide is due to start on May 20 in the town of Kardla in the country's western island of Hiiumaa. Meri is a cousin of the late former Estonian president Lennart Meri.3. The British are Coming! Roughly 7,000 police officers and interior military were attracted to ensure order in the city. The police will be wherever the fans are, Over 50,000 Britain?s fans are expected to arrive for the final match of the UEFA Champions League that Manchester United and Chelsea will play in Moscow May 21. A quick look at Thunderbird 3 Alpha 1
2008-05-19 08:56:00 Thunderbird 3 Alpha 1, code named Shredder, is available from the Mozilla site. It’s highly unstable and far from complete (hence why it’s in Alpha) so I don’t encourage you consider it for normal usage. Also beware that if you have a previous version of Thunderbird, installing Shredder might overwrite it. However it’s worth trying it out to see some of the new features we can expect in Thunderbird’s next iteration. That’s what I did. First thing, under the hood, Thunderbird 3 has the same engine as Firefox 3 and for Mac users it now runs under Cocoa, whereas the previous version was on Carbon. The mail client integrates Apple’s Address Book, so importing and exporting your previous contacts is a snap. Similarly, the Add-ons manager is much improved, just like in the Firefox 3 Beta. It now features ‘Get Add-ons’, extensions, themes and plugins. You can search for new add-ons straight from the manager without opening up your bro...

Pleural Mesothelioma: A Quick Look
2008-02-09 05:03:00 Pleural mesothelioma is one of several types of cancer linked to asbestos exposure. It is caused by asbestos fibers being ingested into the lungs and affects the pleural lining of the lungs. Pleural mesothelioma is a deadly and devastating disease with no known cure. There are a number of symptoms of pleural mesothelioma, and like other forms of mesothelioma, they can appear very non-specific and could be mistaken for a number of common diseases or illnesses. Shortness of breath, caused by pleural thickening which gradually contracts the breathing space, is often the first symptom of pleural mesothelioma. Cough, chest pain, difficulty swallowing, facial swelling, weight loss, fever, and rasping are some of the other symptoms of pleural mesothelioma. In many cases, however, individuals with the disease never experience symptoms at all until well after it has matured. It typically takes several decades for the symptoms of pleural mesothelioma to develop, and once diagnosed, patients ty...
Take a quick look at SanDisk's Sansa Clip MP3 player
2008-01-23 07:20:00 Always obsessed with finding the right tool for the job, I've long run not one, but two MP3 players. The first?currently an 80GB iPod?is responsible for storing my vast MP3 archive of almost 450 albums ripped with the most anal quality settings possible. Being able to carry around this extensive library of tunes is fantastically convenient, making the iPod perfect for toting around town and even better for traveling. I'll even take the iPod skiing, which isn't terribly jarring, and it does just fine at the gym as long as I'm lifting weights and not otherwise bouncing the fragile hard drive around. But if I'm running or navigating one of my bikes down technical singletrack littered with roots, rocks, and other bits of bone-jarring nature, I tend to shy away from anything with a spinning hard drive. This is where my secondary MP3 player comes in. Here, I'm looking for something small, lightweight, relatively inexpensive, and with flash storage that won't mind being rattled aroun...

Shakugan no Shana Season 2 - A quick look
2007-11-16 00:00:00 Like many sequels I’ve seen so far, Shakugan no Shana’s second take on the seen feels like a drawn out appeal by animators (not the creators of the manga) to bait more people into watching a series that’s getting more and more stale with each passing episode. The new series is currently running at six episodes, ...

Quick Look tem até zoom!
2007-11-14 02:56:00 Quem procura, acha.

Leopard: Quick Look
2007-11-02 18:05:00 I recently discovered Quick Look by accident, though I'm still not sure how I did it.Quick Look allows you to preview any file you select without opening it in the application.I know that the normal way to do this is to right click on the file, and then select, Quick Look. When I first came across this feature, I didn't go that route, I'd just clicked on the file, and it opened it in what I now know as Quick Look, though I now can't seem to repeat this... well aside from the right clicking method. There is a short cut keys to activate it, the Command Y.... though just saying that, I've just found another way, not sure if it's the origianl way.. but if you press the space bar, with the file selected, it opens the file in Quick Look. This is definetly going to be useful.

A Quick Look at Paid Surveys
2007-10-06 20:47:00 Paid surveys are yet another money maker online, but are they worth it? The major knocks on paid surveys tend to be: 1) The surveys can usually take you a ton of time to complete for very little in return (sometimes a dollar or less for completion); 2) Some programs ask for info such as name, address, phone number, email and then use those to provide you with lots of nice Spam and junk mail from their site or others.3) Some sites ask you to pay to join or pay for products or services to review. Despite these issues, some free survey programs online can give you interesting research to participate in and some nice extra money or incentives just for sharing your opinions or feedback.Currently, The Monetizer does just 1 survey style program, Cash Crate. It's very laid back as you can log in to take surveys at your leisure on a daily basis, trying to qualify for up to 2 per day.Monetizer has contacted a few people on social media sites to find out which survey programs they like to u...

Quick! Look Presentable!
2007-08-16 15:38:00 We've got a guest author on Sister Skinny today!Molly and I have had a great time with another one of our sisters who has been vacationing around our neck of the woods lately: the lovely Amy. What. Didja think there were only two of us? Molly and I are a mere sampling of the Sister Club. Here's the proof: This is a picture of all of us at the baby sister's wedding in 2004. From Left to Right: Molly, Emily, Bethany, Amy and Katie. (and sorry for the weird dark circles in the pupils, red-eye reduction doesn't work so well on low res. photos). So, as I was saying, Amy has been vacationing out here and we both thought it would be superfun to get some workouts in together. That's all I'm gonna say...Enjoy!Amy: I am visiting Katie and Molly and thought that I’d love to go work out with them. So this past Saturday Katie suggested we go to a “spin” class at their gym. She explained that it was a cycling class. “Biking,” I thought, “no problem.” After all, I do jog t...

2007-08-10 21:41:00 WireClub.com went and did it by combining the bonuses of a social networking site with a Java chat feel.... You too can comment on your daily life and share facts and anecdotes with your network by simply using the Blog on your menu bar. Just hit Post a New Entry and you will be able to quickly enter your text with HTML codes and upload your images to your newest entry. Your friends will then be able to review your blog an...
Bring on the babies: A quick look at the birthrate in Denmark
2007-06-26 15:40:00 Something I've been after for quite some time is some statistics on the birth rate in Denmark, which I finally stumbled upon at www.populationeurope.com.You see, I'm curious because although the endless talk in the media across Europe, when it comes to population, is about how the population in basically every European country is set to drop owing to ever declining birthrates (not taking into account immigration, of course), I've long been wondered how this could be true of Denmark. After all, there is a seemingly endless parade of kids running around Copenhagen with their parents (or getting pushed around in baby carriages). To put it more bluntly, in Copenhagen BABIES AND YOUNG CHILDREN ARE EVERYWHERE! I've never seen anything like it in any other major city. Anywhere. And if it is like this all over urban Copenhagen, where the birthrate should be at the lowest relative to smaller cities and more rural areas, how must the birthrate be in the rest of the country? Which has lead m...

A Quick Look At Thomas Rosicky?s Season
2007-05-28 11:09:00 Czech midfield playmaker Thomas Rosicky had a clause in his Dortmund contract enabling him to leave the club for around £6.8m.
