For the first time in over 30 years the legendary circuit of Montjuic Park in Barcelona opened to classic Formula one and vintage race cars last week-end. More than 200.000 persons came to celebrate the Montjuic's 75th anniversary through a retro motorsport festival. The circuit was home to the Spanish Grand Prix up until 1975. A terrible accident in the 1975 race saw Rolf Stommelen's car crash into the stands, killing four people. Thas why the Spanish Grand Prix never returned to Montjuic circuit. But the track remains largely unchanged. Last week-end the streets have been closed and the circuit re-opened. Everything has been done to recreate the atmosphere of the golden era of motor sports! 2007-10-10 17:07:00 After watching the news about a kangaroo at Bathurst Racetrack with v8supercars speeding over 200 kph, I decided to search the youtube for the clip which our news caster has just screened. “The kangeroo who hop right into the racing track” I think this is the one on tv. Then I found another clip which is also a near miss for the kangeroo. The animal slipped and almost rolled under the car. This kangeroo has 9 lives! And this is a very sad case where the kangeroo got hit….Sigh. Did you see the kangeroo fly? Then I found this classic. Why men stray at the look of boobs. LOL

2007-05-15 05:27:00 High definition images from racing carsSport telecasts could look a lot more realistic to TV viewers in future,thanks to a mini camera being developed by Fraunhofer Institute for Integrated Circuits.It can transmit the view of a Formula One racing driver or ski jumper,all in HDTV quality.With a size of just 4 x 4 x 8 centimeters,the camera is small enough to fit in cockpit of an F1 race car or on a helmet.According to Stephan Gick, a researcher at the Fraunhofer Institute (IIS), their success was due to factors; the dissipation of the electronics and thus the heat generated was kept very low for the tiny casing and all the components are highly integrated.All camera settings can be controlled through the Web,because the sportsperson can't be the cameraman as well.
