Soooooooo....I'm going to be on Radio 1 tonight. (As you do lol)Yes me, Sid, will be speaking to the nation between 12am and 2am on the BBC Introducing show with Bethan Elfyn in Wales tonight! I'm going to be their weekly tipster for this weeks show, basically saying my three top tips for the week and little bit about Music Liberation.If you want to listen live you can do so on the Radio 1 website or on 97-99FM. I'm guessing i'll be on after 1am but i'm not entirely sure. [EDIT - SKIP TO 01.21am TO HEAR MY BIT IN THE SHOW!}Or you can listen again after the show has aired.Its all rather exciting, i just hope i dont sound like a tool!(I'll be getting back to normal posting next week, sorry about the rather random links and lack of my normal posts lately)

For one he looks very hot, and wearing a lot of layers. Usher normally always gives the ladies a little sex appeal when he is on stage. I am not getting the sexy vibe from this outfit. I like the jacket on him, but not for performing in.

The songs are in chronological order, each artist was given a year and were allowed to choose the song they wished to cover. The only exception to this was the Kaiser Chiefs who were given 1967 and forced to cover The Move's "Flower in the Rain" which was the first song ever played on Radio 1.You have to give the BBC props for this comp. Conceptually this is the perfect compilation album and tribute to the Radio 1.Now for the downside, this is a British compilation. For an America audience there are a lot of songs that never hit it big in the US and a lot of artists covering these songs that are relatively unknown to American audiences.The other problem is the artists that are big in the US don't always have strong showings on this album. It's history, man!Let's look at this the bright way: mostof us don't know half of the songs, so we can totally pretend they are originals. And when your parents hear this music they'll be excited, cause they DO know the songs.And it's still cool, cause it's The Streets, McFLY, Klaxons, Paolo Nutini or Natasha Bedingfield.My personal faves are "Your Song" performed by The Streets, "Ray Of Light" by Natasha Bedingfield, "Teenage Dirtbag" by Girls Aloud... well, I like a lot of the songs.(I was gonna make a playlist and have it playing but it somehow went wrong, LOL)Anyone wanna give a listen and tell me what they think?
