There are several places to go whitewater rafting, but our group decided on Whitewater Rafting Adventures on the Lehigh River. Whitewater Rafting Adventures is a small family owned and operated outfit. Located right off of Route 93 it?s about 1 hour and half from Philadelphia. The staff and guides were very friendly and helpful and the price includes a free hot dog cookout at the end of your day (still bring a lunch). I had a fantastic time and I came back in one piece.If you decide to go keep in mind that the Whitewater Dam releases through the Lehigh River are scheduled for every other weekend beginning May 13th up to and including September 30th. It is preventive measure for safty because the water is very vigorous during the rainy months. Most resorts in Kaeng Hin Phoeng offer the service only 4 months per year.
