Worst. Server. Ever. - Part I: Ragnarok Online
2008-03-17 18:44:00 I was searching around for horror stories of players having bad experience on realms/world/servers of a MMORPG to alleviate the my difficulty of getting around with griefing Alliance and lazy Horde players on my old server. After moving to another realm in the World of Warcraft, I love it here. There’s not a lot of Alliance players, compared to the old server I used to play on, and many Horde players are willing to help whenever a player gets ganked. I don’t mind getting attacked once in a while, but it was way too much to handle, even to level up. Worst. Server. Ever. is a three-part series not only about World of Warcraft’s realms I played on, it’s also about servers I used to call home during my days as a Ragnarok Online and Final Fantasy XI player. Ragnarok Online II - Worst Game of the Year (2007)
2008-01-06 12:13:00 Well.. that is according to ThisIsGame.com, giving Ragnarok Online II the 2007 Worst Game of the Year Award. (image hotlinked from thisisgame.com) Do you agree? One thing I know, general reactions are always different when a game lands on a country or region with a different culture, different taste, and different market. I’ve seen this last year (can’t remember which game it was @_@ ). Ragnarok Online II is one of the most anticipated MMOG here in the Philippines, it was supposed to be launched last year according to some people and rumours, but instead will be this year. And oh, to answer my question above, no I do not agree that RO2 is the worst game of the year, whatever their reasons are. I will personally vote it as one of the top for 2007. But that’s just me.. You have one race, the Norman class, and quests that are until about level +15. You've got the Kafra Auction House working, though not many know about it. Jobs, weapon upgrades, and two major areas. That's about it. The developers are probably holding back on updates to keep the hype up (or at least we hope they are), but it's not working.There are less and less players on the beta, and people are getting a bit tired of waiting.
