Forrest Griffin Update - The Ultimate Fighter 7 and Quinton Rampage Jackson
2008-02-20 20:44:00 Forrest Griffin’s friend and assistant Frank posted an update to Forrest Griffin’s myspace bulletin today. Frank stated that Forrest has been extremely busy (He’s been putting 12 hour days into the project) filming The Ultimate Fighter Season 7 for Spike TV which will air on April 2, 2008. At the end of the season, Forrest will take on Quinton Rampage Jackson for the UFC Light Heavyweight Championship. The date of the event has not been set yet, but expect a hell of an exciting fight.

At the end of The Ultimate Finale, UFC president Dana White announced that Forrest Griffin would coach in the next "Ultimate Fighter", and also stated that Forrest would fight the other coach. This "other coach" happens to be UFC Light Heavyweight champion, Quinton "Rampage" Jackson. Irish Whip fighting has confirmed with the UFC that Rampage will be a coach, and that his title will be on the line against Forrest Griffin.This upcoming season will be dynamic, and very entertaining with Rampage being featured. I'm sad too. Not really because of this fight (Henderson still did pretty well and Rampage was picked from PRIDE), but because of the Forrest Griffin vs. Shogun Rua fight. 2007-09-09 06:03:00 UFC 75 had very entertaining fights.Mirko CroCop failed to redeem himself against Cheick Kongo after his most recent loss to Gabriel Gonzaga. In the beginning of the match, CroCop kept Kongo backpedaling. This aggressive style seemed to work well and allowed him to totally neutralize Kongo. Amazingly, Mirko was able to put Kongo in a full mount and almost achieved an armbar in the skirmish.In the second round, however, Cheick Kongo came out on the attack and scored a takedown. He also demonstrated a pretty decent ground game. When the two rose again, Kongo landed some devastating knees to the body in the clinch. In the final round, Crocop got kneed in the groin, but Kongo was relentless. Consequently, Crocop was simply reacting to the onslaught instead of being the aggressor. To be honest, he looked very slow and it appears he has passed his prime.
