Cardinals Could Make Rasmus Available
2007-12-09 22:16:00 Of course, they wouldn't ship off the 21-year-old center fielder for just anyone. Erik Bedard is the target, according to Joe Strauss. In the weak NL Central (how many times have we all said that this winter?), Bedard is a potential difference-maker. He'd solidify a spotty starting rotation in St. Louis, though I suppose that's true of any team he'd end up joining. Rasmus alone won't fetch Bedard, meaning other top prospects -- Strauss mentions Bryan Anderson and Chris Perez -- would have to be included. You can add 21-year-old lefty Jaime Garcia to the potential Orioles targers. Strauss does note that two of the Cardinals' young sluggers, Chris Duncan and Rick Akiel, likely won't be dealt, since St. Louis is going to need their bats to go along with Albert Pujols. Personally, I'm not sure St. Louis has enough to get it done. Their system isn't all that great -- though they could use that as a reason to empty it for Bedard and start over. -Joe showad();

Putting Online Wealth Creation Programs To The Test Posted By : Sean Rasmus
2007-12-07 03:53:00 There is no shortage of opportunities for making money on the internet at least not according to the many vendors selling wealth creation programs and "get-rich-quick" schemes. That last time I used my credit card, I kicked myself. You see, I'm trying out this whole negative reinforcement thing. Anyway, the point is that we should try not to spend so much and start saving more. Maybe what's in order is a financial planning education course. Read more about finance and credit cards.

Is Hillary Imploding?; Rasmussen: "Senator Hillary Clinton?s lead in the fi
2007-11-07 18:38:00 Is Hillary Clinton imploding in the Democratic presidential nomination race? Polls seem to suggest so. Here's Rasmussen's take. Senator Hillary Clinton?s lead in the first-in-the-nation New Hampshire Primary has fallen to its lowest level of the season. The latest Rasmussen Reports telephone poll of the state?s Likely Primary Voters shows Clinton leading Senator Barack Obama by ten percentage points, 34% to 24%. Former Senator John Edwards attracts 15% of the vote while New Mexico Governor Bill Richardson earns 8%. No other candidate tops the 3% level of support. At 34%, Clinton?s current level of support is the lowest measured in any Rasmussen Reports poll this year. Four previous polls in New Hampshire found her consistently in the 37% to 40% range. This is the first poll of the race conducted since Senator Hillary Clinton?s debate gaffe concerning drivers licenses for illegal immigrants. In the last poll before that debate, Clinton held a sixteen-point advantage over O...
Rasmussen Minnesota Polls
2007-11-06 15:11:00 When pitted against Democratic comedian Al Franken, Republican Senator Norm Coleman edges closer to 50% support in the most recent Rasmussen Reports telephone survey of the Minnesota Senate race. He now leads Franken 49% to 42%, up from a five-point lead of 46% to 41% in September.... Senator Coleman currently faces a somewhat tougher challenge from leads wealthy trial attorney Mike Ciresi 46% to 43% (see crosstabs). Those figures are little changed since September. Senator Hillary Clinton now enjoys only single-digit leads over three leading GOP candidates in Minnesota. She leads Rudy Giuliani 44% to 41%, Fred Thompson 47% to 43%, Mitt Romney 47% to 40% (see crosstabs). In September, Clinton led each Republican hopeful by double digits. Both surveys show that the Democratic name brand is falling just a little the state of Minnesota. I expect that 44 percent to 41 percent with 17 percent undecided at this point is a much closer indication of where things really are in the Presi...

Giuliani back on top according to Rasmussen
2007-10-29 14:37:00 This one has been going back and forth, but I am getting a feeling that the late summer bump that Hillary got is probably over. Now that is not to say that you will not see some more media polls of "all adults" or "registered voters" showing Hillary with leads in the four to six point range over Rudy, but I think the race is quietly settling into that statistical deadheat range. What's also interesting is that Fred Thompson does pretty well against Hillary as well in this poll, whereas in other polls he has been down as much as ten or twelve points. I think that is where you really see a difference between polling likely voters who are obviously better informed and just adults who may not even know who Fred Thompson is. But whether it is Giuliani or Thompson, I think that any poll showing significant leads for anyone are outliers. According to Rasmussen: Individual polls can sometimes overstate volatility in a race, especially when the results carry a four percentage point marg...

Huckabee Reaches Double Digits for the First Time in Rasmussen National Pol
2007-10-25 18:42:00 The Rasmussen Reports daily Presidential Tracking Poll for Thursday shows a very tight race for the Republican Presidential Nomination. Rudy Giuliani is now supported by 21% while Fred Thompson is the top choice for 19%. Seventeen percent (17%) are undecided while John McCain moves into third place among the candidates with at 14% of the vote. Mitt Romney?s support is back down to 12%, Mike Huckabee reaches double digits for the first time at 10%, and Ron Paul earns the vote from 3%. (see recent daily numbers). The more you look at the numbers, the more you realize how wide open the race has become. McCain?s move back into third place come as American optimism about the War on Terror rises to its highest level of the year. Americans are also concerned about prospects with Iran and have little confidence that the U.S. can count on its European allies in dealing with that nation. In the race for the Democratic Presidential Nomination, little has changed. Clinton attracts 47% suppo...

Clinton's unfavorable's are very high in the state at about 52%, which puts her on the defensive. But to put this into perspective, the GOP candidates have roughly the same favorable rating as Clinton (sans Romney) at about 45%-47%, while their unfavorable's are slightly lower. I will have to see how Edwards and Obama pe...

Huckabee is at his high, while Richardson has recorded a cool 6%. The next couple of polls will be something to keep and eye on to see if these trends continue. Something interesting, since the Clinton-Obama spat, Clinton has maintained a solid lead, and recorded record highs in the Rasmussen Poll while Obama fell 1-5 points from his normal poll numbers. Despite an earlier poll showing more Americans are inclined to support Obama?s position on foreign diplomacy (a large percentage had not opinion), did Obama suffer more in the aftermath of this feud. I will concede, some of these poll results include votes from the 28th of July, only a few days after the feud began, plus with a dramatic mov... |
