Obama Leads McCain After Clinton Endorsement
2008-06-10 08:51:00 Barack Obama made gains over John McCain according to the latest presidential polling. Rasmussen and Gallup polling data from June 6 through June 8 showed a sizable bump for Obama after officially clinching the Democratic nomination. Barack Obama became the presumptive Democratic nominee last Tuesday after picking up superdelegates endorsements and pledged delegates from South Dakota and Montana. Senator Clinton met with Democratic leaders on Wednesday and later announced her intentions to withdrawal from the race and endorse Obama. With the Democratic nomination locked up and Senator Clinton endorsing Obama, Obama had a week of publicity following this major victory. According a Rasmussen poll, Obama picked up 4 points and McCain lost 2 points from the previous week. The six point swing gives Obama a 50 percent to 44 percent lead. The previous Rasmussen poll showed a dead tie between Obama and McCain. Gallup polling data showed a slightly larger swing fo...
Early Rasmussen Poll: “Barry” Obama Leads “Panama”
2008-06-07 03:06:00 Why The “Barry Bump” In The National Polls In The Last Few Days? I Have (as usual) A Theory… Hey, do you think just MAYBE Barry Obama could be leading the Panamanian-born and eventual migrant to the Great State Of Arizona, U.S. Senator and present G.O.P. presidential “hopeful”, Señor John McCain, because he has, thus far, avoided naming Her Royal Highness, Sir Hillary Rodham Clinton as his running mate? Guess what? I DO. I happened to check out MemeOrandum as usual, just to see what my fellow bloggers were arguing about, and somewhere down beneath the fold, I saw the link to one of the newest Rasmussen polls showing that Señor McCain was favored in another “Great State” by the name of “West Virginia by a margin of 45% to 38%. No HUGE surprise there, of course. But as I dug DEEPER into the Rasmussen Reports, I learned this: Daily Presidential Tracking Poll The Rasmussen Reports daily Presidential Tracking Poll for Friday shows w...

MSM Skips Over Rasmussen Poll: 62% of Voters Prefer Fewer Government Servic

Wealth Creation Traps: The Appearance Of Money Posted By : Sean Rasmussen
2008-03-07 16:10:00 A number of common traps keep the middle-class from maximizing their money-making potentials and succeeding in wealth creation. Among the most common wealth creation trap of the middle class is the "appearance of money". That last time I used my credit card, I kicked myself. You see, I'm trying out this whole negative reinforcement thing. Anyway, the point is that we should try not to spend so much and start saving more. Maybe what's in order is a financial planning education course. Read more about finance and credit cards.

Rasmussen - Rhode Island
2008-02-26 15:22:00 Clinton 53% - Obama 38% An interesting poll from a state that nobody is really paying much attention to. But Rhode Island is part of the Mini-Super Tuesday that plays out next week (the other is Vermont). The reality is that the more states Clinton can claim on Tuesday, the more she can suggest that her momentum is back and the more likely it is that she will stay in the race. Even the 21 delegate Rhode Island can be chalked up as a win. Win that and Ohio and she at least comes out with a draw?

AP/Ipsos Rasmussen should be embarrassed!
2008-02-11 22:42:00 Look... with 32 of the 51 states (if you include D.C. as a state) having already voted... and the popular vote being pretty much even... and Obama leading in every upcoming state for the next two weeks... How is it that AP-Ipsos and Rasmussen can claim that Democrats across America are giving a six point edge to Hillary Clinton? People... Pollsters... Pundits... you cannot reinvent the wheel here. Most of America has already spoken, why do these pollsters insist on second guessing the results?

A couple of Rasmussen polls.
2008-02-05 16:53:00 The latest Rasmussen Reports telephone survey in Arizona shows a tight race with Hillary Clinton leading Barack Obama by five percentage points. Clinton attracts 46% of the vote while Obama earns 41%. Twelve percent (12%) say they?d like to vote for some other candidate while 3% remain undecided. Arizona is state where there hasn't been much polling. Only one other poll (Mason Dixon) has come out since South Carolina and that showed Clinton ahead by only 2% in Arizona. This is one of those states that could simply go either way. The latest Rasmussen Reports telephone survey shows Clinton attracting 47% of the vote while Obama earns 39%. Eleven percent (11%) still plan on supporting some other candidate while 4% are undecided. Just 66% of voters are ?certain? they have settled on their final choice in this election and events over the final weekend of the campaign could impact the final results. Rasmussen generic congressional ballot
2008-01-22 22:28:00 Generic Congressional Ballot Democrats 43% Republicans 38% The latest Rasmussen Reports national telephone survey found that, if the Congressional Election were held today, 43% of American voters say they would vote for the Democrat in their district and 38% would opt for the Republican (see crosstabs). That?s the closest Republicans have been on this measure since losing control of Congress in Election 2006. It?s also the first time in six months that the Democrat?s advantage has been in single digits. A month ago, the Democrats enjoyed a ten-point edge over the GOP. Democrats lead by eleven among women while Republicans lead by three among men. A separate survey found that voters have fairly low expectations for Congress during this election year. I am starting to believe that this is really going to be a gender gap year for politics. Obviously the poll also is suggesting that more woman than men will vote in 2008, which would likely be the case (IMHO) if Hillary was on the...

John McCain and Rudy Giuliani are close behind in what may develop into a three-man race. It?s Romney at 25%, McCain at 20%, and Giuliani at 19%. Romney has picked up seven points over the past week while McCain and Giuliani each inched up a point. Giuliani and Huckabee have the most solid support at this time. Sixty-seven percent (67%) of Giuliani?s supporters are ?certain? they will vote for him along with 65% of those who favor Huckabee. For Romney, just 55% are that certain. For McCain, just 48% are that certain. In fact, 22% of McCain?s supporters still say there?s a good chance they could change their mind. The poll was taken on the 13th, right when the racial tensions between the Clinton and Obama camp began to heat up. So, it is likely this bump was due to Clinton's win in New Hampshire and not a backlash from African-Americans who think it is unfair to question the Clinton's dedication to African-Americans or injecting race into the campaign.McCain now leads in South Carolina and is benefiting from three candidates who are splitting the conservative vote.

New Hampshire Rasmussen Poll: McCain 32% Romney 31%
2008-01-07 18:37:00 John McCain is facing an unusual two-front challenge as he seeks to hang on to a narrow lead in New Hampshire?s Republican Presidential Primary. He is competing with Mitt Romney for votes in the Republican Primary. At the same time, he is competing with Barack Obama for Independent voters who can choose to vote in either the Republican or the Democratic Primary on Tuesday. At the moment, he is losing ground to Obama which is causing him problems with Romney. On Friday, the Rasmussen Reports survey found that Independent voters were likely to make up 32% of the Republican Primary electorate. That dropped to 27% of Sunday. As a result, McCain?s lead over Romney has dipped to a statistically insignificant one-point advantage. The latest Rasmussen Reports telephone survey in New Hampshire shows John McCain earning 32% of the vote while Mitt Romney attracts 31%. The survey was conducted on Saturday and Sunday.
