2008-03-21 21:03:00 Pensando en qué podía escribir para Tecnoscopio que fuera útil para los lectores se me ocurrió que a medida que una persona usa la computadora va descubriendo Software útil y lo adopta para uso cotidiano después de un tiempo se olvida que no todo el mundo conoce los mismos programas. 2007-12-08 01:13:00 Hi, to play a real media file you need this component. I have tested it on Ubuntu 7.10 before. This is the easy way I do it:1. Install the Kaffeine player. To install just go to 'Synaptic Package Manager' and search for it. Then, 'Mark for Installation' to install the Kaffeine.2. You need download the "essential codecs package" from MPlayer download page: http://www.mplayerhq.hu3. Make directory name "win32" in the /usr/lib with your terminal. Please doing this section with root privilage. Its become /usr/lib/win32 .4. Extract the "essential codecs package" that you have download before and copy all the contents to /usr/lib/win32 .5. Open Kaffeine player. For the 1st time the kaffeine can't play the real media. This is because the codec is not define properly. What you can do is, just go to settings --> xine engine --> parameters --> decoder and type /usr/lib/win32 under the external Real Media codecs path. Now you can enjoy watching your real media file. Thats all.
DirectVobSub - Displaying subtitle in Real Media file
2007-10-20 05:08:00 Back then, I never think about installing any subtitle tool anyway. It's because of all my downloaded movies was in .avi extension. Just open the movie file using the VLC player, and everything would be fine including the codecs and subtitle file.Yesterday, I just downloaded the Real Media movie file with .rmvb extension including the subtitle file. As mentioned before, I never used their software (Real Player) since I found Real Alternative.I tried to open the rmvb file but it failed to load the subtitle. Finally, I install the DirectVobSub and reopen my Real Media file. And, tadaa!! It loads the subtitle file!I never know whether this tool is working on other file extension such as .rm, .ra or .ram. It should be. But, one thing for sure is that your subtitle files should have the same filename as your video file (for example movie.avi, movie.idx, movie.sub, movie.txt) and should be in the same folder (directory) as your video file. Google's deal led to speculation that there would be an acquisition boom in the advertising technology market. Earlier this month, there were rumors that Microsoft would buy 24/7.The deal will tie WPP's traditional mix of marketing, advertising, public relations and branding with 24/7's search-based ad serving, monitoring and analytics technologies.
