I don't really understand his methods, but he's using some kind of Gaussian lines. These charts are based on polling mostly ending from September 12-15 (although the Indiana chart ended on September 5), so they do not catch the latest mood over the Wall Street crashes.New Mexico was looking awfully close recently, but a couple of recent polls have Obama up by 7-8 points. Although this site has McCain up by 2, at this point, it is looking like Obama will carry the state. This is really two states, with the Northern half consisting of heavily-Spanish very old-time Hispanics who go back to when the state was a part of Mexico and Spain.
