One reason for this was the high level of adoption among trend setters like celebrities. To counter that, Facebook introduced Pages and a Subscribe option where personalities could reach out to personalities. Twitter then bought over Tweetdeck, one of the largest 3rd Party Twitter Clients. Now, in a announcement on their official blog, Twitter has shown us its plans for an all new Twitter redesign, which includes the following: 1) Brand Pages Brand Pages, as of now, are not really different from user pages on Twitter. Facebook For Android Gets Updated: Sports Radical UI Redesign
2011-12-09 09:31:00 Facebook has changed a lot since it began. It has been continually evolving with time and has become the most dominant Social Network. The company recently rolled out changes to its UI on the service with the introduction of the ‘Timeline’ and the Open Graph Protocol for social apps. Compared to these changes, the UI on Mobile app was pretty much the same as before. So we guess the redesign was in the cards. Today they rolled out a new update only for Android for all devices. The new update works on all versions of Android from 1.5 onwards. So fragmentation of Android is not a serious issue in this case. The new update sports radical changes in the design of the mobile app and makes it look more in sync with the service. Here are some screenshots of the app. As you can see that the app has now a new way to access your notification and pages along with a redesigned news-feed page. Some users found: ads placed at the top right hand side feed ticker while some found it at the top of the Timeline profile’s navigation column in the right sidebar. While Facebook is continuously tinkering with the Home page design in order to both keep a fresh flavor for users as well as making users feel more connected to the social network. With testing of placement of ad slots in new places, objective looks quite simple ”increase the value of the site’s premium home page and profile ad inventory“. My main frustrations were due to the fact I was posting a wide range of material whose messages I felt were getting mixed up. One of the criticism's people had of my blog was that it jumped around between high (detailed overviews of UK Gov. G2G sysetms) and low brow (walking the dog) too quickly. It had been my original intent to go with this, and that's why the blog was originally called 'eclectic', but I've found it's a little too jarring for people to handle, and I suspect was turning them off. By getting them to choose between different categories I'm hoping that they'll pick up on that 'channel' and become familiar with it before trying the others. 2008-05-03 00:00:00 If you haven't noticed we've done a bit of redesign to the site, though I'm sure you did by now... through the magic of CSS and little HTML thrown in we've got a nice new site that I hope works and looks much better. It's much more streamlined now, and I know I'm happier with it, there are a couple tiny kinks to work out yet, but for the most part it's complete and will remain this way for quite some time.Some might question the color scheme, but I wanted something different, something that stands out, but yet works well together.I think it's easier to navigate now with the larger highlighted menu, and I think the important stuff stands out better now. Thre are a couple more things to be added yet, and a few more tweaks but nothing major overall... I'm still finishing up the redesign/reorganization of the 'Reviews' page, I like the small pictures better of the individual items, yes I know it loads a bit slow right now, but within the next ... |
