Washington Redskins stun the world, upset Dallas 26-24
2008-09-30 15:41:00 On a weekend of local football upsets, the Washington Redskins scored the most celebrated one of all, stunning the Dallas Cowboys by a 26-24 count. The upset win marked the Redskins' third straight victory under head coach Jim Zorn and its most remarkable one, coming in at over 11 point underdogs. In large measure, Washington's resurgence has come about through the awakening of quarterback Jason Campbell. After a disturbing end to the postseason, Campbell has shined, going 20 for 31 with two touchdown passes at the Cowboys. Zorn's West Coast offense still left room for a running attack with Clinton Portis getting 121 yards. The Skins attack was also remarkably disciplined, not giving up a turnover for the fourth straight game.On the other side, the Redskins defense held Dallas' rushing game to 44 yards, while qb Tony Romo generated impressive statistics only during a last-ditch comeback effort that fell short. The only major lowlight was the absence of defensive end Jason Taylor ...

Washington Redskins face long odds in Dallas showdown
2008-09-28 19:54:00 Despite running off two straight wins in hard-fought fashion, the Washington Redskins face long odds in week four's encounter at the Dallas Cowboys. The NFC East leaders have run off three straight dominant wins to become the consensus best NFL team to date, standing as 11 point favorites against Washington in Texas Stadium.Aside from the Redskins facing the prospect of a seemingly unbeatable dvision foe, they also have to make the adjustments to cope with star defensive end Jason Taylor. The former Miami Dolphins superstar was lost by injury for an indeterminate length of time, ending his consecutive game streak in the process. Not to repeat the obvious but Washington will need to place at its best to have any realistic hope of a late afternoon win. Start time is 4:15 p.m. EDT on WTTG/FOX/5 & WTEM/980 radio._________________________-_______________________________-_______________________________-_______________________________-_______________________________-___________________________...-

Washington Redskins face resurgent Arizona squad
2008-09-21 13:08:00 Coming out of week two with their first 2008 season victory in hand, the Washington Redskins are set to face a suddenly resurgent Arizona Cardinals squad. The Cardinals come in as an old Rams flashback squad, led by starting quarterback Kurt Warner en route to a 2-0 start. On the hometown side, the Redskins offense finally woke up in last Sunday's comeback over the New Orleans Saints. Jason Campbell showed the promise expected of him in the West Coast offense last week, especially in connections to Santana Moss. Combined with the expected impressive defensive outing, another strong Campbell performance should be enough for a second straight Washington win.Kickoff time is 1 p.m. Sunday on WTTG/FOX/5 & WTEM/980 radio._________________________-_______________________________-_______________________________-_______________________________-_______________________________-_______________________________-_______________________________-_______________________________-______________________________.-..

Redskins offense awakens in comeback over New Orleans
2008-09-16 03:09:00 After two preseason and one regular season week of agony, the Washington Redskins offense finally woke up in a comeback home win over the New Orleans Saints, 29-24. The victory marks the first career professional victory for the already embattled new head coach Jim Zorn, demonstrating that his faulty opening night won't prove his fair measure. The Redskins risked opening the 2008 season 0-2 before Jason Campbell went five for five on one extended 4th quarter touchdown drive, then Campbell completed a 67 yarder to Santana Moss on the Skins' next drive to clinch the 29-24 triumph. Campbell went 24 for 36 on the day with no interceptions, an almost complete turn from the opening week's anemic performance and even from the much shorter passing game under Gibbs last season.Further brighter notes included Clinton Portis rushing 96 yards on 21 carries and the still knee-braced Jason Taylor getting his first official sack with Washington. The Saints high-powered offense was at least slow...

Washington Redskins seek to jump start offense vs. Saints
2008-09-14 16:18:00 The Washington Redskins are looking to generate some kind of legitimate offense for its home opener Sunday against the New Orleans Saints. Just ten days ago, the offense opened the regular season at the New York Giants in the same impotent condition that it left behind the preseason. The offensive line remains a point of concern with even quarterback Jason Campbell's grasp of the new West Coast system now being questioned.New head coach Jim Zorn came under severe criticism after the abortive primetime opener, especially for poor time management during the 'Skins comeback effort. Zorn will need to recover his bearings fast for week two to deal with a high-powered New Orleans team that won its own opener against Tampa Bay. Start time for Sunday's game is 1 p.m. EDT on Fox network (WTTG/5), WTEM/980 radio and its sister Redskins affiliated stations.______________________-_______________________________-_______________________________-_______________________________-_____________________...

NFL KICKOFF WEEKEND - REDSKINS v. GIANTS TODAY
2008-09-04 19:40:00 WHAT TO LOOK FOR ? NFL KICKOFF 2008 WEEKENDSUPER STARTERS: There are never any guarantees in the NFL, but there are trends. And they start as early as Kickoff Weekend. History indicates that the best way for a team to start its drive towards a possible Super Bowl championship is to win in Week 1.The 42 Super Bowl winners have a 34-7-1 record in the Kickoff Weekend games of their title seasons. However, as the Super Bowl XLII champion New York Giants proved, a loss on Kickoff Weekend can still lead to a championship season.Since 1978, when the NFL went to the 16-game schedule, and excluding the abbreviated season of 1982, teams that are victorious on Kickoff Weekend are more than twice as likely to reach the playoffs than losers of an opening game:Of the 426 teams which won openers?225 went to the playoffs (130 won division titles).Of the 426 teams which lost openers?99 went to the playoffs (55 won division titles). In 2007, nine of the 12 playoff teams ? Redskins Sign Safety Stuart Schweigert
2008-06-02 17:49:00 [Note by Skin Patrol, 06/02/08 8:20 PM EDT ] Promoted, edited slightly. Thanks again to CptChaosSidekick for helping me in the site in my absence (just started the new job today) and keep the FanPosts coming. Also, make sure you read DC Sports Bog to get the good-for-print word on our newest safety. Per the Official Site. Schweigert, 6-2 and 210 pounds, has played four NFL seasons with the Oakland Raiders. He had lost his starting job late last season. He was released by the club on May 21. Schweigert has played in 63 games, with 42 starts, and compiled 315 tackles, four interceptions and 18 passes defended in his career To make room for Schweigert, the Redskins released linebacker Rian Wallace. Since Schweigert's release by Oakland on May 21st, I was thinking the Skins could make a run at him. From what I can tell he was released because of injury (and because Oakland might be cash strapped, though I'm not %100 on that). This guy is a hitter and he can cover to...

Redskins sign a safety and Coach Zorn sets training camp date
2008-05-31 18:32:00 First, the new signing per the Official Site: The Redskins have signed second-year safety Justin Hamilton, the team announced on Friday... Hamilton, 6-3 and 222 pounds, played the 2006 season with the Cleveland Browns, totaling 15 tackles (13 solo) during his rookie season. Hamilton is a full year removed from football, having been cut for an "alleged injury." More: Hamilton was drafted by the Browns in the seventh round of the 2006 draft, and it was somewhat of a surprise when we waived him. The initial reason for waiving him was because he had an alleged injury, thus the reason he was paid an injury settlement. But, that still begs the question I've been wondering since last season: why not just put Hamilton on the injured reserve list (although his injury didn't seem to merit such a long absence)? That's a very good question, even moreso because, as DawgsByNature points out, Hamilton was playing pretty decent backup safety before he was let go. He had fifteen tackles his r...

If I were a gambling man... Oh yea, I am. Vegas gives Redskins 7.5 wins
2008-05-29 20:26:00 Hat tipped kind of towards Extreme Skins, from the old news department it somehow escaped my finely tuned degenerative gambling radar that the Vegas lines came out on the 32 NFL team's over/under record. I don't remember many of us picking much fewer wins than 7 on the season, though I recall a few of you saying we had 8-10 in the tank. If you still feel that way, I encourage you to call your bookie. Here are the opening lines for all the teams: The above linked website (that looks like a potential daily visit for me) has its own worthwhile analysis. Reader(s) should note that the NFC East has the 2nd highest predicted wins average. Does this worry me? No, and I say that giving Vegas more credit than most. I think they are pretty spot on, or as spot on as any human can be when discussing things of such variance as the amount of wins an NFL team will have on any given year. I actually really love the 7.5 given the circumstances (new coaching staff) since what it means is that Ve...

John Clayton: Without Cap Redskins Could Be in Roster Depth Hell
2008-05-29 17:55:00 [Note by Skin Patrol, 05/29/08 1:28 PM EDT ] Promoted, enjoy. Edited very little. Thanks once more to CptChaosSidekick. John Clayton wrote an article on five of the best -- and five of the worst teams to be affected if there was no salary cap in 2010. The Redskins come in at # 5 on the teams sure to suck list. The Redskins are in great shape for the next two seasons, but 2010 could be tough. Eleven of their 22 starters are in their 30s, including five starters on the offensive line. Age is also creeping up on their defense. Cornerback Shawn Springs is 33. Linebacker Marcus Washington is 30. Defensive tackle Cornelius Griffin is 31. Linebacker London Fletcher is 33. Defensive end Phillip Daniels is 35. He goes on to say that finding replacements for older starters becomes harder and harder as teams will be trying to lock up future free agents much earlier than in years past. When the COB was unanimisly opted out by the owners, the Cowboys owner wasted no time in re-signing C...

An interview with Redskins fullback Pete Schmitt
2008-05-27 18:37:00 As readers are well aware, this space is big, big time on Pete Schmitt. I've already called Pete Schmitt as a lock to make the team, and chose him in our Adopt-A-Redskin program to follow throughout the offseason. However much I appreciated Pete Schmitt then, consider it doubled and then some now, as he very graciously agreed to take time out of his busy schedule to answer a few of my questions. Below you'll find an interview with him where he discusses, among other things, the changing coaching staff, Mike Sellers, the normalcy of a Midwestern accent, delicious Miller Lite, and the very fascinating process he's currently in that can turn a substitute teacher into a Professional Football player overnight. Please enjoy. Side note: I am indebted to Pete Schmitt's agent, John Perla, Jr, for his assistance in setting this up. As far as Hogs Haven is concerned, John is the best agent in the biz. Redskins Insider: 'Skins uninterested in Odell Thurman
2008-05-20 15:58:00 Why was Odell Thurman cut from the Bengals? For missing voluntary minicamps, says the team: "The NFL provided Odell the opportunity to earn his way back onto our team, but we have not seen the right steps taken by him," Lewis said. "With our offseason work in progress and new talent added at our linebacker position, we've determined it's best to keep moving in a direction that does not include Odell."... [Thurman's agent John] Michels said "it''s purely a money issue right now" because the Bengals have a pending grievance against Thurman. Cut and dry, right? Well the article also notes that Thurman's agent Michels is considering grievences, or at least leaves open the possibility of that in the future. So what's the big deal, can't the team cut a player for missing a voluntary mini camp? Players aren't obligated to attend and can't be cut for not attending the voluntary sessions. Yea, but, since he's a Bengal and all he was probably off being a criminal and doing othe...

How good are Your Washington Redskins?
2008-05-12 21:45:00 I'm done with Law School year uno, so here I am, back, returning to regular treatment in this space. All apologies (but for serious, I was busy) for my absence. The loooooong offseason drags on. And on. And on. Content is light today, which I hadn't anticipated seeing as how I've been gone since the middle of last week. But really there isn't much of interest happening. Perhaps that's best; no news means no one has a hurt hamstring. As Redskins 360 notes, ESPN finally got their act together and released their first top-to-bottom NFL ranking of the season. I find these exercises especially useless as predictors, though don't formulate that opinion on reliance of data I'm unwilling to sort out. I just happen to think preseason rankings are, by necessity, overwhelmingly speculative. Of course since I don't actually do any real reporting, speculation is really all we have here at Hogs Haven, so don't interpret my skepticism on the product as reluctance to speculate. Spec...

Redskins robble robble robble
2008-05-06 18:58:00 It's been a minute since I've done one of these, so here's what is flossing around the Redskins internet world. First up is Chris Mottram over at Mr. Irrelevant, commenting on the Portis/Landry 500: Portis and Landry had a disagreement during practice over the weekend. The topic of contention: Who is faster. So, they decided to settle the dispute in the safest possible manner: Push their hamstrings to the brink in a meaningless 40-yard race while the Zorn Star was preoccupied with reporters. Incidentally, Landry jokingly said something inaudible about his hamstring after the race. I don't think he was the least bit serious. I can't join Chris in complaint over the way these guys are treating their bodies, first and foremost because these kinds of things make for great print, and secondly because they aren't playing badminton. (Although with all the hamstring injuries from last year, I can't very well blame Chris for his concern either.) Per Redskins 360 comes some info on r...

An exclusive sneak peak at the Redskins playbook
2008-05-05 21:37:00 And by "exclusive" I mean only available to people within traveling distance to a Barnes & Noble and by sneak peak at the Redskins playbook, I really mean probably incorrect interpretation of exactly one play that Jim Zorn ran as quarterback in Seattle circa around 30 years ago. As you may know, I'm in the process of reading Kenny Mayne's new book, An Incomplete and Inaccurate History of Sports. I'm not yet finished, because I haven't taken enough dumps, but so far so good. It's like diet Dave Barry but with more-betterish anecdotes, because they're sports related and Kenny Mayne is famous (my mom thinks Dave Barry is more famous than Kenny Mayne; also that I'm handsome), at least to people like me who were raised by Sports Center in early 90s. Kenny Mayne is from Seattle, which may help explain this video: Mayne's appreciation for Z-Man is sincere, as he's devoted an entire chapter (term is used liberally; this particular "chapter," for instance, is abo...

2008-04-28 19:38:00 As you may recall, Brandon Lloyd was a former aspiring rapper even while he was a former aspiring wide receiver. On his debut album "Training Day": After practices, on his days off, even between workouts, Lloyd has been writing lyrics, polishing his flow and preparing to release his debut rap album, "Training Day," this summer. 2008 Redskins Draft Recap
2008-04-28 04:22:00 In the next few weeks, there will be some more extensive looks at the draft class, but consider this a first-glance reaction at the draft as a whole. You can check out ESPN's analysis of each pick here, but most of the descriptions, especially of the lesser known late-rounders, is short and lacking. Here's the same type of thing from NFL.com... same problems/positives as the ESPN page. Also, make sure to check out Skin Patrol's FanShots of the newest Redskins... some of those video clips will make you very impressed. Anyway, on to the reaction. Just based on looking through it all, I'll give it a solid B/B+ grade. According to the Redskins Insider, here's what the team got: That's all folks. They took 2 WR, 1 TE, 1 OL, 1 CB, 2 safeties, 1 DL, 1 punter and 1 QB in all. Looking at the list, you can see that the team got help in a number of different areas. The 2 WRs (Thomas and Kelly), Davis and Rinehart should all compete for a job right away. The CB (Justin Tryon, wit...

With the 21st pick in the 2008 NFL Draft, the Redskins take...
2008-04-26 23:34:00 [Note by TexSkins, 04/26/08 4:47 PM CDT ] The ESPN DraftCast shows that the Skins have both the Falcons 2nd round picks. I still haven't seen an official round-up of that trade. That would be picks #3, #17, and #20 (their original one) in the second round. [Note by TexSkins, 04/26/08 4:52 PM CDT ] I just saw that they also picked up the Falcons 4th rounder. Same source. [Note by TexSkins, 04/26/08 4:56 PM CDT ] Final note on this. The Redskins traded their #1 (#21 overall), #3 (#84 overall), and #5 (#154) for the two #2s of Atlanta, and Atlanta's #4. I don't like it. So, now they pick at #34, #48, #51, #96, #103, #186, #228, #242, and #249. a trade with the Falcons. Interesting draft thus far, so this pick kinda takes me by surprise. Not because of what the Skins did, but because of what everyone else did. Talib at #20 with Jenkins still on the board? Trading up to #18 for the second QB? Giving away a future first rounder for Jeff Otah? Color me shocked. ESPN has ...

REPORTS: Dolphins have offered Jason Taylor to Redskins, Bucs
2008-04-26 01:35:00 I'm sure these rumors will continue from now until tomorrow night, but here's the latest. First, as originally pointed out by "Layuma" in this FanPost, the Washington Post reports that the Dolphins offered Jason Taylor to the Redskins in exchange for their 1st round pick, number 21 overall. The report says that the Redskins are indeed shopping their pick, but the Redskins "don't see Taylor as a goof long-term fit with what they are trying to accomplish." Meanwhile, the St. Petersburg Times is reporting that the Dolphins and Bucs have been involved in talks regarding Jason Taylor: Here's the latest tidbit I've dug up through various channels: there appears to have been some discussion between the Dolphins and Bucs about a possible deal that would bring Jason Taylor to Tampa, probably for the Bucs' second-round pick. I've also been told that Taylor is not opposed to the idea because he has informed associates he would like to remain in Florida if traded. The article goe...

This is a Redskins draft open thread
2008-04-25 17:12:00 We're about 24 hours away from the draft so I thought I'd get this thing going early. First, let me apologize for the website being down yesterday. It's out of my control but was a not-too-unexpected hiccup when you're migrating hundreds of websites from one platform to another. I'm assured that everything is being watched extremely carefully to both prevent future down time and also to expedite getting us back online more quickly should the problem recur. I beg for patience. Who are we going to draft? Consider this your thread to speculate endlessly in the comments section. Who knows? Actually, as CptChaosSidekick points out in a diary, though, at least one NFL commenter is fairly deterministic about the direction we're going: Redskins narrow choices: The Redskins seem to be making one last check before selecting Oklahoma wide receiver Malcolm Kelly or Clemson defensive end Phillip Merling. A good portion of the Redskins' front office jumped on Dan Snyder's plane and visit...

Redskins 360: Redskins made offer for Roy Williams
2008-04-23 19:39:00 Well now I'm just getting repetitive, but add Detroit WR Roy Williams to the list of players the Redskins made deals for. As David Elfin reports, emphasis added: A Redskins source said that Bengals star Chad Johnson isn't the only receiver about whom the team has inquired about acquiring. But as with Cincinnati, which rejected Washington's offer of the 21st pick in this weekend's draft and a conditional third-rounder in 2009, Arizona and Detroit turned down overtures regarding Anquan Boldin and Roy Williams, respectively. He notes that such inquiries aren't going to do much good, though, since Detroit says Williams is off the market. Of the three, though, I'd actually be happiest with Roy Williams. He's the youngest, lacks the degree of current contentiousness with his current team in Chad Johnson, and (as far as I can tell, though I don't follow him closely) isn't willing to turn down a top 3 WR contract as was apparently the case with Boldin. All wishful thinking, becau...

ESPN: Redskins made offer for Anquan Boldin
2008-04-23 19:14:00 First, huge hat tip to dr WNC for getting this up in a diary earlier. His thoughts: When the majority of Fans look at the Redskins team roster, the roster which all 22 starters are returning, most say the need is for a large WR. It appears based on another report today the Redskins are exploring options with other NFL teams. "other" NFL teams because we took a stab at getting Chad Johnson from the Bengals, unsuccessfully. The emerging picture is one where the team is committed to getting a proven wide receiver in free agency and isn't afraid to shop around to do so. The question is whether they can get the guy they want before the upcoming draft? Time is running out, and surely if we need a WR before the draft (but can't get one) we'll need one during, which would have a profound impact on how and who we select this weekend. The story per ESPN: The Arizona Cardinals have no interest in dealing wide receiver Anquan Boldin, despite trade inquiries from other teams and a tr...

Bengals decline big Redskins offer for WR Johnson
2008-04-22 21:14:00 Cincinnati is serious enough about not trading Chad Johnson that they swatted away an offer from the Washington Redskins that could have netted the Bengals two first round draft picks, team and league sources said. Read More: Chris Mortensen

Florio: Redskins may have tampered
2008-04-22 20:03:00 I don't think this story is remotely close to having legs yet as there isn't any indication that the team illegally discussed anything with Chad Johnson, but it should get noted anyways. In two posts at PFT Mike Florio accuses the Redskins of tampering in strong language. First: Here’s our take on all of this — the Bengals should be very concerned about the possibility of tampering. The Redskins have enjoyed over the years a very strong relationship with Drew Rosenhaus, Johnson’s agent. And it is believed by some league observers that Chad’s campaign to be traded arose not from his zeal to wear a new uniform but from his desire to stuff more money into his pockets. Thus, if the Redskins were willing to make such a strong and specific offer for Johnson, it’s hard not to think that they have an idea as to the contract extension that Johnson (via Rosenhaus) would accept. And that, of course, would be tampering. And...

The future is never: Redskins allegedly offer two first round picks for a 3
2008-04-22 18:58:00 Who happens to have a bad attitude. Typically I'd just promote this prescient diary by CptChaosSidekick as it captures my thoughts on the deal. His words bear repeating: The fact that this even went down really pisses me off. I continue to be amazed at how little the Redskins value the draft. Chad Johnson is an amazing talent but to keep fleecing our picks away is fucking annoying. What is it that went down exactly? As ESPN tells the story... How serious are the Cincinnati Bengals about not giving in to Chad Johnson's trade demands? Serious enough to swat away an offer from the Washington Redskins that could have netted the Bengals two first-round draft picks, team and league sources said. The Redskins offered its first-round pick, No. 21 overall, and a conditional third-rounder in 2009 that could escalate to a first rounder if Johnson and the Redskins hit certain performance levels, the sources said. So forgive a slightly misleading title. While it might've been the case ...

Redskins with 3 of the worst draft busts in history
2008-04-21 23:17:00 At least that's the word per ESPN (hat tip: Cincy Jungle). And they are: 4. QB Heath Shuler (Tennessee) Drafted by: Redskins, first round, No. 3 overall, 1994Shuler started eight games as a rookie and certainly didn't look like an immediate bust, throwing 10 TDs and 11 interceptions. However, over the next three years with the Redskins and Saints, he would throw 21 interceptions to just five touchdown passes. He was out of the league by 1998. 32. T Andre Johnson (Penn State) Drafted by: Redskins, first round, No. 30 overall, 1996The Redskins have had more than their fair share of poor draft picks, but this tops them all. Johnson did not appear in a game for the Skins during his rookie season and was cut during the summer of 1997. And finally: 50. WR Michael Westbrook (Colorado) Drafted by:Redskins, first round, No. 4 overall, 1995Three years after trading up to select WR Desmond Howard with the fourth overall pick, the Redskins dipped into the wideout pool again with Westbrook...

The 2008 Adopt-a-Redskins Debate
2008-04-19 00:22:00 My fellow HogsHavenites, This is a crucial time for our nation. Never before has your support been needed any greater than it is today. Recently, my fellow blogger Skin Patrol advocated Pete Schmitt and supported him as part of his Adopt-a-Redskin program. Now, while I feel that this program is a worthy venture, I do not want you to be decieved by his strong support for Schmitt. I say this because, as recently as a few weeks ago, Skin Patrol had been expressing the merits of one Anthony Mix and as recently as a month ago, he expressed his (and I quote) "irrational faith" in Mr. Mix as becoming a fine player for your -- no, our -- beloved team. But, when pressed, he flip-flopped his advocation for Mr. Mix in favor of Mr. Schmitt, and then tried to hide his deed by immediately calling for a Blogwar with Mr. Lee Gibbons over at The Redskin Report. I ask you... what kind of man tries to cover up his wrongs by going to an unnecessary war of his own making? Now, I ...

Scott Campbell one of the most important people at Redskins park
2008-04-18 03:33:00 And did you know it? Own up. As of January of this year Scott Campbell became one of the most important people with the Redskins: Campbell, who has spent the past seven seasons with the Redskins, will oversee scouting at both the college and professional levels. He had previously led both college and professional recruiting. The syntax in the sentence suggests that he received a non promotion promotion, but what I think they are trying to say is that he previously handled college scouting and pro scouting separately at different times in his career, and that he's finally now in charge of both all at once. Incidentally, this makes him an extremely influencial (and accountable!) person at Redskins park. With a hat tipped towards PFT, the Post today called Campbell Vinny Cerrato's Draft Day Lieutenant. It goes farther: A Redskins player-personnel official since 2001, Campbell, 46, was recently promoted to oversee Washington's college and pro scouting, and he will have a major role i...

Redskins perpetually interested in Chad Johnson
2008-04-17 23:55:00 I predict this will be the Lance Briggs story of this year, the player acquisition rumor that never seems to go away and has enough bits of truth mixed in with the generic Redskins-love-to-spend storyline that it's too good not to be true. First: An infuriated Chad Johnson has all but declared war on the team that holds his contract. He will not be reporting for any team functions, practices or games... As for where Johnson is going, rumors and misinformation abound. The Washington Redskins are drooling over an opportunity to pick up Johnson, and conspiracy theorists believe there may be a secret deal in progress. Johnson has lobbied off season for a possible trade to the Cowboys. The Cowboys have not made a public offer at this point, however. As Redskins Insider points out: As I wrote about months ago, Dan Snyder and Vinny Cerrato have a thing for Chad Johnson. It was a staple of their interviews with head coaching candidates. He would fill what they believe to be the biggest voi...

The Phinsider Community Mock Draft: Pick #21 - Washington Redskins
2008-04-11 18:43:00 With the 20th pick in The Phinsider Community Mock Draft, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers select Devin Thomas, WR, Michigan State. Thomas just edged out Mike Jenkins, 29% to 27%.
