Reframe your thinking
2008-06-10 06:37:00
Analysis of dream submitted by B.W. of Melbourne, Australia.Dream- I was slowly descending a linear staircase.  The surroundings were a blur.  I thought I was being careful, but I still stumbled. This disappointed me. I felt like I wasn't in control of my feet, like they weren't mine.  I felt clumsy, but regained some bearings. Predom-inant Emotions- frustration, fear, anxiety. disorientation, and hope.Interpretation-  If you're unsure of your footing, you may not feel grounded.  You may not feel like you're on 'the straight and narrow.'  Perhaps you know someone who has deviated from a linear path, and this evokes discomfort. Your sense of moral conduct refers to your own understanding of moral integrity.  Everyone won't see "eye-to-eye."To -sense a move downward doesn't have to mean retreat, defeat or that things are deteriorating.  Its all about perspective. You can ...
Reframe: 47th & Erskine, West Seattle
2008-05-20 09:06:00
Here we are with another Reframe where we troll through the archives to find a frame, grab the camera gear and head out to re-create that view at present. Just as the post from two weeks ago, I’m sticking to West Seattle. This time around it’s the intersection of 47th & Erskine. You’ll find a ...

How to avoid approach anxiety and reframe the self to get unstopable game
2008-04-23 16:28:00
How to avoid approach anxiety and reframe the self to get unstopable game result. We all get it. Even the best PUAs get it. I get it, even today (although I've learnt to love it). That feeling of nervousness when you set yourself up for an approach. The anticipation of being blown out. It can't be avoided - it's primal. But it can be managed.1. Frame It DifferentlyDon't see the approach as the most important thing in the world. It isn't. If you frame the approach in that fashion you are going to load yourself with pressure and, chances are, the pressure will get to you and affect your performance. You should frame it like this: you are a fun and social guy, the kind of guy who has no problem going to people to talk to them and have a good time. If you happen to end up in a conversation with a hot babe that's great. And if you have a conversation with that girl the close will happen naturally.2. Take Baby StepsYou need to start small and build up. If you make an approach in the...

Reframe: 23rd And Marion
2008-01-11 10:28:00
I’m very pleased to be posting the first user submitted Reframe feature! Ever since I started Vintage Seattle, I’ve been hoping that people would write in with bits of history from their neck of the woods and now this is starting to happen in earnest. Great stuff. Scott Durham of the Central District News Blog ...
Reframe: 50 Years Of Boren And Marion
2007-12-17 10:08:00
I’ve always been interested in how a particular landscape changes over time. Since we haven’t done a Reframe comparison in quite a while, let’s bust it back out. This Reframe takes a look at the intersection of Boren and Marion looking West. The first shot is from 1955 and the second is present day, with ...
4 Ways to reframe deja-vu
2007-12-08 03:07:00
Many people sense having known someone before or having been somewhere before when their short-term memory would beg to differ.  Some people even think their imaginations are playing tricks on them.  What sorts of reasons would help explain your dream-like flashbacks and sense of 'deja-vu?'  Consider four perspectives:1) Consciousness is 'superliminal.' The energy that drives it moves faster than the speed of light.  Energy is so powerful, it can reach out into the infinite universe and bring back whatever information your subconscious is seeking.  This goes beyond the reach of your earthly senses, but connects you to abilities you forgot you have.2) You retain insight into past lives.  You have known shadows of these people in other forms.  Something twigs your memory about their personality, behaviors or, on a higher level, their aura and energy vibration.  You have visited places that seem vaguely familiar. ...
3 Tips to reframe wealth creation
2007-12-03 22:51:00
As people seek to create wealth, one of the most popular questions relates to money. Yet, what is this really? Are you aware of the real reasons why you think you want it? Who influences these ideas? How do you manifest wealth on your terms?Money is a human invention, a means of exchange. While you may think having more money will eliminate debt and other troubles, your sense of wealth is affected by the intentions or emotions behind them. You may desire more disposable cash, but if whatever you have filters through your fingers, you would benefit from examining your deeper associations with money.  Reframe your wealth creation: 1) Discern the values you associate with money. What is happiness to you? Which objects, qualities, service or, sense of direction do you value? Your universe is the creation of your finite mind. You differentiate value based on feelings and mental states. What makes you feel good is desirable. Prosperity, abundance and pleasure all have motivation...
3 Steps to reframe wherever you are
2007-11-23 01:18:00
Some people are convinced they will require a miracle to make it around the next bend. Dreams may seem a distant idea. Do you ever feel overwhelmed with tasks or responsibilities or permit fear or negative energy to cloud your judgment? Are you already wondering how you will manage to concentrate on the next project? If this sounds like you, rest assured that you will never find yourself in a situation that you aren't prepared to handle. You have the power to create some of your own miracles, that is, to believe that you can do what is at hand. Consider these 4 tips:1) Learn to relax.  In order to think clearly, you need to breath and find a focus.  Write lists. Take time to meditate, observe nature or listen to peaceful music, away from the hustle bustle that usually controls your life.2) For every negative thought or emotion, train yourself to find a positive.  Its that simple.  If you express anger, then you need to remind yourself abo...
Reframe angel requests
2007-09-21 15:15:00
How often do you meditate on a particular outcome or ask Higher Forces for a specific result? You may wish for your favorite sports team to win the coming championship. Maybe you wish to get through the next set of traffic lights before the light changes. People will ask their guardian angels for assistance to win the lottery, to obtain a promotion, or to smooth out a rocky relationship. Yet, what is your desire isn't right for you now? What if you don't see the big picture? Its useful to learn is that the Universe has a bigger vision than you do. Let's say it has its own far-reaching crystal ball. Angels also have heightened perception which transcends what you think you know. You may pray for a situation to evolve in what you understand to be in your favor. Brace yourself. This might be a big delusion. As your life evolves, you'll discover reasons to feel humble. Events are meant to unfold to enable you to deepen your sense of perception. Rather than allow the frame and the worl...
Reframe: 20th Ave and Roy 1925
2007-07-18 09:18:00
Well folks, sometimes a Reframe just doesn’t work out. You can file this one under blunders. It’s the southwest corner of 20th Ave. and Roy St, looking south, but you probably couldn’t tell from the modern day shot. Trees and other vegetation make this one nearly impossible to compare. Oh well, we can still take ...
Reframe your view
2007-07-03 03:22:00
Some people will ask, "what must be done to make life work more in my favor?" or, "why do I seem to deserve repeated struggles?" Perhaps the trouble starts in your own mind, along with nagging questions and your reactions to prospective answers. The thing is, the truth of your life is actually proven or disproven based on how you think. Raising your awareness is what you need to do. You may ask about what? Why not teach yourself to expect good things? You can't grow through negative thinking. Condition positive thinking instead. Consider spending time on those things that enable you to feel good about yourself. Learn to understand why you think as you do. How could you take steps to focus on more uplifting thoughts?Every day is a new beginning. Perhaps you could stengthen the skill of forgetting? Move on. You need to be determined to overcome weaknesses which focus your thoughts of guilt and fear. We only need to train our minds, reinforce an ...
Reframe: 14th and Madison 1944
2007-06-15 09:57:00
Today we’re going to reframe 14th and Madison. The original photograph was taken on April 1, 1944 just after channelization of the streets. Most of the surrounding buildings have undergone changes, yet the trees in the far center and building in the upper right remain. Notice the dramatic increase in traffic signage. Click on the ...
Reframe: Former North Broadway
2007-05-19 09:39:00
More Capitol Hill?! Yep, maybe I’m a sucker for it since it’s the first area of Seattle that I lived in. We’ll move on to other areas soon enough. Until then, let’s take a look at a reframe (vintage photograph, present day) of what used to be known as North Broadway (now East Broadway). The first ...
Create a wallpaper with a sleek mirrored pictureframe
2007-05-06 01:37:00
First of all, the focus of this tutorial is to show you how to create a unique looking pictureframe. I chose to turn it in to a wallpaper because I’m sure a lot of people won’t know what I’m talking about when I say ‘Create a sleek looking pictureframe for your Deviant ID‘. avatars, cd covers, ...
