I Attuned My Grandma to Reiki!
2008-06-01 18:09:00 My grandma is 87 years old, though she's really one of those "87 years-young" people. She drives a red sports car, and takes courses, volunteers daily at a Senior Center near her house - walks there - bakes cookies, makes dolls and beaded necklaces, and comes for dinner every Friday night. She's great. I've given her Reiki a few times, and she's liked it and said it helped her. She has recently developed an infection in one leg, and she is taking antibiotics for it. I gave her Reiki a few times, which did help. Yesterday she came over and I attuned her to Reiki and taught her how to call in the energy, and some hand positions for giving herself Reiki treatments. I told her to practice and the sensations would get stronger.I have to admit that my attunement was a little awkward because I had to refer to my manual several times; it's been a while since I've done any. And, I didn't feel this inspired by Reiki's power until I took Reiki 2 with her, which was November, 2007. That was six months ago. And now I'm a Reiki Master. When I got there, I got seated and took out my camera. I turned it on. It turned itself off. My batteries were dead. I put in my spare pair of batteries. They were dead too. I did speak with Sister Ann Winters of the Sophia Wellness Center at Ursuline College, who is teaching the course there. (By the way, Google her, and you'll see praises up and down from people all over the world who have taken the Reiki Master training with her!). She was gracious enough to let me do a project - creating a Reiki hand position manual - in exchange for a reduction in tuition. I talked all about how I came to learn about Reiki, and how it's become such a large and involved journey in my life. Before she left, I gave her a short hands-on treatment. That was interesting. I started with one hand on top of her head, and the other in the center of her shoulder blades, just below her neck. I felt lots of tingles there, but she didn't feel much. I sent him a good half-hour session and felt quite connected to his energy, and figured the rest was up to him. He sent me an instant message after school today saying that he feels certain that he felt the Reiki I sent, heat in his stomach. Very likely, though I did ask if he felt anything in his head, since I sent him quite a bit there. But I did also send Reiki where he felt it and the important thing is...he felt it at all! Increasing the Connection
2008-02-06 16:05:00 Today I tried something new - Hatsurei Ho. It's a Reiki meditation, intended to connect one more with the Reiki energy, and it has been referred to as "the Jewel of Reiki," a metaphor I like a lot. My experience with trying it was to really feel the energy moving through me, and I enjoyed the peace of sitting quietly and still, focused on the energetic experience. It reminded me a lot of when I send distance Reiki, yet it was just inside myself. I am going to incorporate it into my practice as close to daily as I can. It is also supposed to increase the strength of one's Reiki, as it helps one be more aware and in touch with the energy. White Sparkles & Reiki Rules
2008-02-04 15:56:00 Last night I sent Reiki to a person who sees white sparkling light when I send to him. It was the third time I've sent distance Reiki to him, and this time, when sending the energy, I saw white light behind my eyes, and had strong energetic sensations tingling on my face, and particularly my right eye (not sure why there). It was particularly cool. Maybe our energetic connection is increasing from repeated Reiki, or maybe my sensitivity is increasing. Reiki is always interesting!His feedback said that again he saw the same white light, and that his stomach ache, which he had when we started, got better during the session. 2008-02-03 21:14:00 By: {Marci} I had an amazing time last night at the reiki circle. It was more wonderful than words can say ! Their was 4 of us there and 2 masters, everyone was instant friends. Everyone received and gave last night. The feeling of working with a master to perform was amazing. The feelings that went through me and the energy are indescribable . During the time that i was receiving the master leaned over and whispered in my ear that my granddaughter had spoke to her and wants me to be at peace and no quilt. Of course the tears started but it was good tears .There is one every month ,so i cant wait to go back ! Well I could go on and on but i wont LOL. Just wanted those who have not experienced reiki to defiantly try it ,it is so worth it ! Love and light

I Tingled All Day Today
2008-01-30 03:07:00 It's strange, but all day long my hands have been in a continuous state of tingle. I don't know why, can't explain it. I did send Reiki last night, and a little this morning, and my aunt came over, and I gave her a whole discourse on what Reiki is, and my experiences with it so far. She was weirded out for a while, and then agreed to let me give her a little hands-on treatment so she could experience the way Reiki feels. She felt nothing. My hands tingled like mad, and she felt absolutely nothing, save the light pressure of my "slightly warm" (her description) hands. Ok.Then my 8-year old daughter came home from school. She is the one attuned to Reiki II as I am. So we both gave my aunt Reiki at the same time - my daughter at her head, me at her feet. (My aunt was laying on the couch). My daughter and I talked about the tingles we felt. My aunt felt nothing. Ok.So, some people are not so sensitive to energy. Good reminder.
