All you have to do is go get your free discount pharmacy card from FreePharmaCard. That link will take you to the site, where you type in your name and email address, just like I did, and bingo! You're put on the next page where you can print out your own free Pharma Card to present to pharmacists anywhere and get up to 75% off of your prescription medications at Walgreens, Wal-Mart, CVS, Rite Aid, and more. I know, it sounds to good to be true, but you don't have to simply believe me. You can click the link and try it yourself, and then begin saving on the medications you need. It's not an insurance plan, not a group coverage, there's no enrollment and no charge. Just type, click, print, save.

Want to Retire Rich? Stay Married

I think everyone out there knows at least a few people who have had to for one reason or another part ways with their spouse. Other than the emotional costs of divorce there is a huge financial burden as well. Let?s just do a little exercise, take all of your networth (including pension) and divide it in half. Before you divide your networth in half don?t forget to subtract the thousands of dollars usually required to legally file for divorce and all of the associated real estate fees that go along with selling the cottage, house etc...Next you?ll want to take all of your shared living expenses, mortgage, heat, hydro, gas, cable, internet, house taxes etc... and double them (because you?ll each need your own place now). Get the point? Divorce is expensive...so if money is tight it just might be worth working a little bit less (not more) and spend that time with your spouse instead....(especially if you live in Quebec) PROVINCIAL DIVORCE RATES Newfoundland and Labrador - 17.1%Prince ...

2008-06-12 21:15:00
With Ballmer's new announcement that he will retire within 10 years and Gates' retirement this year, its worth a look at the pair's past, present, and future.Microsoft has owned the privilege of being the world's largest software company for well over a decade and it has strong executive leadership to thank for that, largely. Love them or hate them, Microsoft's founder and current Chairman Bill Gates and CEO Steve Ballmer, a key Microsoft veteran, have shaped the face and course of Microsoft and the tech industry as a whole. When Gates stepped down as CEO in 2000 allowing Ballmer to step up, it was a historic moment for the company. That moment is nearing its finale this year, with Gates finally looking to fully retire. And as the future fast approaches, Ballmer just announced that he will follow Gates into retirement in just 10 years time or less. With the departure of Gates and looking forward to the departure of Ballmer, it?s worth taking a look at how Microsoft has been sh...

Can You Afford To Retire?
2008-05-30 15:14:00
Looking to make investments for retirement always seems to be something that you think I'll do it in another few years. However, anyone thinking in this way couldn't be more wrong. It is vital that these days you start to think about that rainy day whilst still in your twenties and thirties because everyday you put it off could mean you have to work longer, and who really wants to work until they are in their seventies? The way our country is today things do look pretty bleak for the future. The government is more involved with making money available to go to war than keeping the social security system in a healthy state. For many retirement seems to be fading into the distances - more of a maybe than a reality. So it is down to you as an individual whether you purchase IRS's or put your money towards the purchase of gold coins to safeguard your future, it is something that has to be done.Really, I am not qualified to give you advice about investing for retirement. No one simply w...

Sammy Sosa To Retire After WBC?
2008-05-28 14:11:00
ESPN's Enrique Rojas, quoting the Dominican paper Hoy, writes that Sammy Sosa intends to retire after playing in the next World Baseball Classic (to be held in March '09). Sosa's quotes are confusing: "There's something that I wish to state very clearly: I'm not looking for a job. In fact, I have told my agent that he should stop offering my services to MLB teams.  I'm not retired. I remain highly focused and not begging for a contract." I think Sosa's point is that he is still willing to play for an MLB team, but only if they come to him.

ChoicePoint: To Retire, Start Over or Hang in There?
2008-05-26 15:08:00
Baby boomers are a different breed from previous generations, and they demand different choices for retirement. Forty years and a gold watch won't work on a me-first, go-for-it crowd of free thinkers weaned on social change, pot and LSD. So what choices are boomers facing?Prior generations retired after working at one company for 25-30 years, and after that stint, they then retire and get a pension plan. Retirees had a small house paid for, a nice Social Security check and a pension. Add to that a life expectancy of around 70 years, and you'll have a perfect retirement plan.Nowadays it's a different reality for sure. Life expectancies are creeping up past 80, pension plans are quickly disappearing, and full retirement is no longer at age 65, but rather 66, plus we can expect that to change even more in the future. With the fact that many of us baby boomers are poorly prepared financially, and it's clear why the current retirement landscape ain't so rosy for boomers. So, more and...

Fergie to retire
2008-05-25 13:06:00
Well we all know that Fergie will retire someday but today he has been a little bit more specific about when that will be. He has said that he will retire within three years which will take him upto 70 years old."I won't be managing here when I'm 70. No, never. I can assure you of that," Ferguson said."I won't be managing here any more than three years at the very, very, very most - no question."There is a time when you have to think about time for yourself. You know, my wife is getting older and I have to think about that."I think she deserves a bit of my time. The older you get, the more guilty you feel about it. What I would like to do in life is travel to places I have never been to."I would love to go to the States and spend about three or four months there. I will still be involved with United in some shape or form. I hope so because I have a good relationship."There is no chance of me ever being sacked. I think it will be my decision and [chief executive] David Gill is hap...

Quarterhorsex looking for a retirement home
2008-05-24 20:58:00
I am looking to find a retirement home for my quarterhorse cross, Bentley. He was, is and has been an awesome horse- but he was diagnosed with navicular last year and I can't ride him as much as I'd like to anymore. I tried corrective shoeing and it has not made a difference compared to when he was barefoot. He is lame on and off and would do well out on pasture as a companion horse for another lonely horse. He likes to be outside most of the time, and he doesn't need any special grains or anything, just some hay, water and a salt block- he can even go back to barefoot...talk about low maintenance eh? He is friendly and spunky and it breaks my heart to let him go. He is free to the right person. If you have a home and lots of love for him, please reply.
How To Retire Rich And Live A Happy Life
2008-05-24 15:01:00
As many other teenagers, about 25 years ago, I thought about the future. From the very early point of my life I always enjoyed working, but I always wanted to have an option of not having to work. Twenty five years later, I find myself still working and enjoying my work, but I also feel that I am moving closer to my goal. My secrets are as following:1) Select the type of work that you enjoy.2) Be the best at what you do.3) Spend less than you earn.4) Education yourself about investment.Select the type of work that you enjoy: This is very important. Most of us have to work for a living, so we might as well do what we like to do best. In my case that means working with computers and technology, while interacting with other smart people. If you are doing the type of work that you like, you might even feel a little guilty getting paid for it (do not worry - take the money). I recall letting my employer know a few years ago, that I would be willing to do the work that they were paying me...

To Retire Rich, Save and Invest Early
2008-05-20 14:52:00
If you want to retire rich, start saving investing early. The most powerful tool when it comes to retiring rich, is compounding your returns on money saved when you are young. Through the power of compound interest, cash invested today has a massive impact on your wealth level when you retire.Look at it this way, assuming a retirement age of 65 and an annual compounded rate of return of 10%.* Bob is 40 years old and invests $20,000 a year for retirement.* Jenny is 21 years old and invests $5,000 a year for retirement.By the time they retire, Bob will have invested $400,000 and Jenny $220,000 respectively. But because of the power of compound interest, Bob will retire with half as much money as Jenny, despite investing twice as much!* Bob would retire with $1.97 million* Jenny would with $3.26 millionSo, what's the moral of the story?Stop robbing your future retirement income to pay for luxuries today.Maximize your annual contribution to your IRAWhen it comes to your IRA contributio...
Pedro Could Retire After Season
2008-05-20 11:38:00
Mets starter Pedro Martinez explained his thinking to Roger Rubin of the New York Daily News.  Pedro is feeling good and should be back with the Mets this month.  However, he is not under contract past 2008 and retirement is an option.  Martinez's father has brain cancer, and he wants to be there for him. Mets starters are fifth in the NL with a 3.89 ERA.  Johan Santana and John Maine make a great 1-2 punch, and Oliver Perez is doing fine.  A healthy Pedro should give the Mets one of the league's better rotations.  They're currently just a game back of the Marlins.
Quit and Retire Three Years Earlier!
2008-05-18 14:51:00
For most people, there is a direct correlation between how worried they are about retirement income, and how much they can actually do about it. This is because the more worried you are, the closer you probably are to retirement, and the less time you have to do anything ? like save up. Effective ?saving up? requires time. Time so your money can grow. Save an extra $200 a month, three years before retirement (at age 62), and you?ll amass a grand total of $7,887 (averaging 6% growth). Not likely to have a big impact on your retirement lifestyle. But what if you invested for retirement when you were NOT worried about it? What if you, say, quit smoking a pack a day at age 45 and took the money and invested that instead? (For the purposes of this illustration, let?s assume a pack costs $7.00 and you smoke a pack a day so you invest, for easy figure?s sake, $200 per month. Again, average compound rate of return is 6%.)Instead of starting to save when you start worrying about retirement (a...

Fergie to Retire?
2008-05-14 13:06:00
I dont think that Sir Alex Ferguson will be retiring from Manchester United anytime soon nor does former United ace Roy Keane.Keane is convinced Fergie will win the double in Moscow and he won't rest until he's toppled Liverpool's record haul of European Cups and League titles. On sunday we won the Premier League title and that took us upto 17 league titles, Liverpool have 18 league titles BUT they have never won the Premier League title, what a shame. If we win next wednesday in Moscow we will be European Champion's for the third time but Liverpool have been European Champion's five times. We arent too far behind them but we are still a much more popular, bigger and better club than Liverpool so no need to worry United fans, we will knock them of their perch soon enough!!!Keane said: "I think the manager (Ferguson) said it himself...his target was to knock Liverpool off their perch. He's done that in terms of winning Leagues but I think, don't worry, he'll be wanting to win E...

Clark doesn't retire
2008-05-01 05:46:00
It was rumored that Brady Clark would retire after being re-assigned to New Orleans. Clark was barely used in his short stint with the Mets and really got himself in hot water by getting called out at the plate. Clark must have realized that the team would need a sixth outfielder at some point in the season because he agreed to accept the assignment.Brady Clark, who lost his roster spot when the Mets added Gustavo Molina, reversed course and decided he’ll report to Triple-A New Orleans rather than retire. Former Brewers pitcher Claudio Vargas will also join the Zephyrs and start Saturday. source Daily News
