Glücklicherweise darf ich aber hier über all das schreiben, was mich alleine fröhlich stimmt und hoffen, dass es noch den ein oder anderen neben mir interessiert. Deswegen kommt hier schon wieder ein Beitrag zu Mr. Owens, dem bisexuellen Amerikaner, der mit einer sehr viel älteren Frau verheiratet ist und in Paris lebt und sich einfach schöne Mode ausdenkt, irgendwo an der Grenze zwischen Grunge und Glamour - wenn es die überhaupt gibt - - "GLUNGE", wie er so schön sagt, wieso eigentlich nicht GRAMOUR? Ach je, kein Wunder, dass Courtney Love zu seinen treuesten Kundinnen zählt. Würde ich ja auch... Im New Yorker habe ich einen schön geschriebenen Beitrag über Rick Owens gefunden, den ich den Modeweiterbildungswilligen unter Euch nicht vorenthalten möchte. Die Kunst ist schließlich immer eine dankbare Quelle der Inspiration. Dankbar auch im Falle der am Sonntag präsentierten Rick Owens Kollektion. Seiner düster coolen, rockigen Linie treu bleibend schickte er die Damen in einer Art Lederrüstung auf den Laufsteg, mit um die Beine schlabbernden Lederlappen, klobigen Keilabsatz Stiefeletten, Wollumhängen und Lederhelmen. Das alles sah irgendwie fertig aus, so dass Nicole Phelps mit ihrer Assoziation "his models did look like they had swaggered through the apocalypse" meinen Empfindungen recht nahe kommt. Lee Bontecou kommt dann ins Spiel, wenn man sich die Farbwahl und vereinzelte scheinbar auseinanderberstende Einzelstücke genauer ansieht.
