2009-04-29 06:37:00 Rick Springfield will be talking to strangers when he plays an ’80s teen idol on 4 episodes of Showtime’s Californication! According to EW’s Michael Ausiello he will be playing “an actor who experienced huge fame in the 80’s to play themselves as a now down-on his-luck-ex-celebrity waiting tables to get by.” Not much more is known, but with some of the sh!t that they have done on the show, the one thing we can guarantee is it will be a side of Rick Springfield we have never seen. And I can’t wait to see it!!! Maybe we will see his butt again like we did in Hard to Hold, but then again it would be hard for him to hold the bum that he had almost 25 years ago today! But I would Love Somebody at Californication if we did see again!!! SIDE NOTE: Stand Up is one of my favorite songs of his and I can’t believe I found a live version of it from 1985. Plus it totally works for this post!
