Ann “Tunky” Riley died Friday morning in Greenville from complications of breast cancer. Her brother Edward Yarborough tells The Associated Press that the funeral will be held Monday. Yarborough remembered his sister as someone who brought passion and commitment to everything she took on. After Riley’s time as governor from 1978-86, the couple moved to Washington when Riley served as President Clinton’s Secretary of Education. The couple were married for more than 50 years.
