?Bonneville??Great American roadtrip film for gals of a certain age
2008-06-05 02:53:00
On a girls night out Rebecca and I wound our way through St. Louis’ Central West End…now sampling gelato at the new store where last year Ben and Jerry’s stood; now eating Vietnamese crepes at my favorite snack shop; and now…checking out the films at the Chase Park Plaza Hotel and finding that “Bonneville” started ...
Announcing Complete City Guide of our Summer Roadtrip!
2008-05-17 21:27:00
I’ve chosen the cities that we will be stopping in. We will take any blogger in the state as long as they are able to meet us at the chosen city. I do apologize for any who would like to be interviewed but cannot meet us in these destinations, but we have picked them as they are logistically the best cities to visit in order to save as much gas as we can. I’ve already calculated the trip being around 15,000 miles, and costing at least $3,500 just in gas alone. As such  - Donations are GREATLY welcomed. Just send money via paypal to: yourstruly AT patrickcurl DOT com We are splitting the trip up into two blocks to take a small break /  breather. Without further adieu here are the cities that we’ve picked: First Leg: Starting in Cleveland, OH. 1. Erie, PA 2. Buffalo, NY - We’d like to do the interview @ Niagra Falls if possible. 3. Toronto, ON 4. Montreal, QC 5. Montpelier, VT 6. Manchester, NH 7. Portland, ME 8. Boston, MA 9. Providence, RI 10. Hartford, CT 11...

We got Sponsored! 50 State Roadtrip goes to Canada too!
2008-05-13 00:26:00
As you may or may not be aware(if this is your first time to my blog) - I’m embarking on a journey of a lifetime. Perhaps the first of many such journeys. I am going to be interviewing 1 blogger in EACH of the 50 states. (Now the 10 major provinces of Canada too!) Recently, I’ve put out calls for sponsors, and I’m very close to closing a contract with an awesome sponsor - I don’t want to layout all the details just yet - you’ll have to stay tuned to learn more about this great web2.0 company and what they have to offer. The exciting thing is with their support we will be able to get this launched a lot quicker. Which means I need your help - at our sponsor’s suggestion we’ve decided to not only hit ALL 50 states, but ALSO all the Provinces of Canada as well. Each blog will be featured on video sharing sites across the internet, podcasting directories, etc… This is truly the power of synergy - each blog accepted will also be linking bac...

50 State Roadtrip + American Bloggers Directory
2008-04-22 23:00:00
LAUNCHING TODAY: The American Blogger Directory - find great bloggers in your state now! I swear I’m not being anti-world, or anything - But today I have launched an American Blogger Directory - in order to organize the blogosphere by U.S. States. This will of course help me immensely in making my decision for who to visit in each state, during my 50 Bloggers, 50 States, in 50 Days Road Trip. If you would like to be interviewed via text, audio, and video - and have your blog mentioned on all the top video, and podcasting sites please feel free to add your link to the American Blogger Directory. In order to grow the American Blogger Directory as well as the traffic to this site - I will be requiring a reciprocal link somewhere on your site - it could be in a blog post, blogroll, etc.. This will of course in the end - benefit everyone who signs up as it will increase the pagerank and seo power of the American Blogger Directory. The bottom line is: The more traffic this site gets...

Roadtrippin’
2007-05-08 03:16:00

Diary of a Dream Roadtrip: OFB as Foreign Correspondents (Part I)
2007-05-04 01:00:00
The seldom-designated OFB Code 5 is defined by a call to cease all work and routine, immediately, and respond to unfathomable news of an exhilarating nature by embarking upon a beer-damaging of our respective livers. I say seldom, because prior to April 5 we’d yet to sound its siren. During the early evening commuting hours of ...
Sunday Roadtrip
2007-04-29 21:32:00
As it's my big brother's birthday today, Mum and I drove down to his place to say hi. Mum did her mother hen thing, which was fine as Bruv was suffering from tonsilitis and needed a bit of fussing over. Here's some more observations which I made during the trips there and back. Sunday evening is a special time of the week, isn't it?A young Asian couple are giggling. The girl is sitting on top of the guy's shoulders, her jean-clad legs dangling vertically over his torso.A young black couple walk up the road with their arms around each other's waist. The woman is wearing a pink top with black detailing.A young white woman with short dark hair rides her bike alongside our car. The band of her bright pink thong rises above the waist band of her jeans.A couple of mature African women walking down the street. They are wearing traditional outfits, complete with elaborate hats. One wears a green dress which is cut diagonally along her back to reveal her shoulders, the other, who is sli...
Keeping Kids Busy on Roadtrips
2007-04-04 16:10:00
If you're like me I get tired of the toys my kids get in fast food kid meals. The toys are never very creative, the kids play with them for two seconds and then I get to step on them when I'm walking down the hall at night (the toys not the kids).I bought a car litter bag--not as big as the one pictured here though that one would do nicely as well--and kept all Happy Meal toys there for the kids to play with while in the car or on road trips. The toys are more appealing to the kids when they're stuck in the car with nothing to do and the toys don't litter my house. The bag I found had Velcro straps that allowed it to be hung from the bag of the driver's seat within a child's reach. The other solution is to just throw the toys out before you leave the restaurant. Also an easy way to keep the clutter down--I've done that too.Check in with Rocks in My Dryer every Wednesday for other good tips.Technorati tags: WFMW, toys, road trips, parenting, vacations
