Michael J. Hollander: A Sathya Sai Baba Preacher of ?Woe-Unto-The-Wicked?
2012-01-16 03:04:00 I remember Michael Hollander This was in the early 1970's, when I taught for two years at the Sathya Sai College (1978-79) and heard that Sai Baba had selected a woman named Faith, a leader in a New York Sai center, as a wife for Hollander. At a time when very few westerners lived around Sai Baba, she came to spend prolonged time in quiet, focused spiritual retreat. She, her fellow devotees said, preferred to live, spiritually speaking, "married only to Swami". But, regarding him as all-knowing and all-seeing, she could not but comply with his wishes. I was quickly summoned to be some-sort-of 'best man' at this small wedding. I was aware of Michael Hollander as a rather robust, enthusiastic bhajan singer, who was very eager to lead bhajans (conducted from approximately 9am to 5pm) during Thursday and Sunday lunch-times when the experienced singers retired for lunch. Sathya Sai Baba conducted Michael and Faith's wedding in his interview room at the Whitefield campus. I can sti...
Traveller?s Aid
2012-01-09 03:38:00 I wish a Happy New Year to all. I am thankful that, since early 2007, many hundreds of thousands of readers have visited this blog. Each of us plants seeds that grow, hoping they will turn out well, no matter what the terrain - parents, their children; teachers, their charges; visionaries, their creations, and so on. We can all grow a tree that will become a bone-sore weary traveller's aid. Possibly more than at any other time, the world - whose population late last year exceeded seven billion people - needs each of us who can do it to plant physical trees, and other wholesome, much-needed plants which will aid a profoundly compromised planet. So that we can breathe. And many other measures that protect the planet. The other 'seeds' that need planting are those which relate to the practical implementation of ethics key to many belief systems, religious and secular. It is no use merely to write and mouth facts, like the endless Sathya Sai Speaks series, but to discover or red...
Sathya Sai Baba Birthday Celebrations ? Barry Pittard articles: 2007 to 201
2011-11-22 13:34:00 Below, I have excerpted from my articles posted on or close to each Sathya Sai Baba birthday celebration. These go back to 2007, the year in which I began 'Call For Media and Government Investigation of Sathya Sai Baba. One of the key reasons why Robert Priddy and I continue to expose the Sathya Sai Baba cult is that his worldwide Sathya Sai Organization, though it is in vast public discredit and struggling to remain intact, continues to draw unwitting people into its thrall. Now and then, members of major international media continue to consult us, and find us unflaggingly truthful, carefully analytic and responsible, as do other organizations and persons who stand against cultic dangers to human well-being. Repeatedly, it is the many Sathya Sai Baba devotees who - abjectly forgetful of Sai Baba's constantly harped-upon preachments about love, peace and sweet-spokenness - break the teachings common to many religions and philosophical systems . Their commonsense and decency par...
Puttaparthi Sai Baba Birthday 2011 ? Where Have All The Golden Pomp and Cir
2011-11-20 02:29:00 The late Sathya Sai Baba's birthday celebrations occur on 23 November. As usual, around this time, there is an upsurge of visitors to this blogsite and that of Robert Priddy. However, in comparison to other years, the numbers are much down, very much as Sai Baba himself is forever down in the earth, and his devotees infinitely down in the dumps. After his death in on 24 April 2011, and the terrible fighting over managerial succession at Puttaparthi, and then the discovery - not of spiritual treasure but - untold hoarded treasure in Sai Baba's private quarters, the international Sathya Sai Organization is in vast disarray. See: ?Secret Swami? (Late) Sai Baba: Vast Millions In Hoard Found Hidden In His Palace-Temple and: Sai Baba: hoarding, secrecy, mistrust, powerlessness, deceit Since our work of international exposure via world leading media began in 1999, the cult has suffered regular resignation upheavals, including of foremost leaders. Indeed, many people leave informally....
Sathya Sai Organization Shields Its Accused Members From Investigation
2011-10-13 03:13:00 This lack of speaking up, of questioning, profoundly ails the organization. It is also why, for example, so many costly drives in luxurious venues fail. See: ?Secret Swami? Cult Recruits At Prime Public Venues Those of us who have stood forth have often been assailed by Sai Baba activists such as Gerald Moreno, of New Mexico, USA, who deride Sai Baba's accusers for not having succeeded in court actions. However, the difficulties the victims face are formidable. Many of them wish to hide what they regard as their sense of shame. They do not wish to suffer discrimination against them in their personal or professional lives. Many have friends or relatives still closely associated with the Sathya Sai Organization. Sadly, many of them will not reach out for professional counseling, even though offered excellently qualified professional counseling. These and other formidable obstacles are familiar to all those familiar with the years of denial and cover up in the case of such institu...
Sai Baba of Shirdi: Sathya Sai Baba?s Tall Claims (Part 1)
2011-10-05 09:52:00 A few days back, Robert Priddy posted about Sathya Sai Baba's claims to have incarnated the major Indian saint Shirdi Sai Baba. See: Shirdi Sai stated ?I am not God?, while Sathya misrepresented him For those interested in looking at a few of the issues involved in such spectacular claims, I shall, in the next few days, further give some comments and links. On his way to becoming his own notion of Avatar of all Avatars, did Sathya Sai Baba truly believe that he had incarnated in the 19th century in the north-west Indian state of Maharashtra? Or was he shrewdly aware of practising a deception? My own guess is that, like others who have extraordinary inner experiences, he may have been in the grip of very powerful aspects of mind - especially the right brain - of which we understand far too little. In certain unusual states of mind, an individual believes that extraordinary, real-seeming experiences are actually God's voice speaking out of a burning bush to Moses. Actually, Al...
Some postings recalling major Sai Baba issues
2011-10-02 14:07:00 Looking back across the 11 years of our conscience-driven work to expose Sathya Sai Baba’s hidden sides and covered-up crimes (which deceived us for so long), the number of daily postings added up to make it rather hard for many visitors to this site to know what to choose. Here are some varied postings that ...
Article Series Asks Sathya Sai Alumni To Admit Large-Scale Male Sexual Abus
2011-08-13 02:00:00 The following excerpts are from my recent article series, the main burthen of which to say that alumni of Sathya Sai education institutions now have a unique opportunity. I was a lecturer, (1978-1979, at the Sathya Sai College, outside Bangalore, South India. By showing fearlessness, truthfulness and compassion for those who suffer - virtues endlessly preached in Sai institutions - they can tear aside the veil of taboo against addressing sexual abuse. It is a suppression extremely prevalent in India. But, then, extreme conditions are those in which courage in straight speaking and clear moral action are called for. Since, like many teachers everywhere, my fond hopes for my former students to turn out well, have never died, I would dearly wish to see them vividly live those vivid speeches that Sai Baba's handpicked students would give. Perhaps forever doomed to disappointment will be those many listeners who have fondly thought that the rousing speeches of these students predicte...
Towards Accountability Of Sathya Sai Baba?s Accomplices: A Call To Legal Ac
2011-07-16 12:59:00 A formidable legal challenge is being mounted against those who aided and abetted Sathya Sai Baba in what many say are heinous and immoral acts against boys and young men, what to mention other abuses. Among those connected with this legal action, which is very well-funded indeed, are those with compelling accounts of sexual and ...
An academic?s response to revelations about cover-up of sex abuse etc.
2011-06-16 15:55:00 The following comment on my exposure of Professor Erlendur Haraldsson’s off-handedness regarding sexual crimes etc. (yesterday) was submitted on 2011/06/15 at 2:27 pm Hello Robert, Thank you for divulging this material. It must have been difficult to decide to take this step. I can only surmize how disappointed you and your wife must have felt ...
Today?s News from India re Sathya Sai Baba
2011-06-13 18:50:00 Apropos yesterday’s blog showing the ignorance of Sathya Sai Baba, making his pretense of educating of others a set-back for common sense, reason, science and the future of those who are ‘infected’ by his superstitious and mythical nonsense, the following news items have appeared which only back up my contentions:- See also:- Overview of links ...
More glimpses behind Sai Baba?s veil of secrecy from one who knows
2011-06-10 11:12:00 Since I recall that there was an incident at the ‘Sports meet’ in 1991 which Sai Baba claimed to have taken upon himself injuries that would otherwise have debilitated a student (Anil Patle). I wondered if Raman Sharma had confused the dates (he had referred to ca. 1999) so I wrote and asked him to ...
David Wolff on ChackraNews.com ? groundless blather
2011-05-23 16:59:00 On ChackraNews.com, David Wolff, one of the American ‘true believers’ who had contact with Leela Press, Jack Scher (deceased) and Judy Warner has attacked me as a person (NOT my documented arguments and evidence, of course). I have been attacked by David Wolff before, and I have responded too (see here). Clearly my reply to ...
The Hindu ? only some comments allowed?
2011-05-18 00:27:00 The Hindu accepts e-mail letters about articles it has posted on-line. A couple of such letters were sensible (shown here), the rest were the usual apologists’ one-sided defense of Sathya Sai Baba. I have written a brief e-mail, signed Robert Priddy, and await with interest to see whether The Hindu will post it, or whether ...
Sathya Sai Baba?s lunar age ? once again
2011-05-09 15:36:00 The entire house of cards has tumbled down on the failed predictions of Sathya Sai Baba about his alternative dates of death (93 or 96). Therefore it is totally crucial to the Sathya Sai officials, Trust, devotees and hangers on that he should be proven right, whether by hook or crook… involving falsification of facts! ...
Sathya Sai Baba?s death and ?mahasamadhi?
2011-05-06 14:41:00 In their understandable desperation to believe in the divinity of Sathya Sai Baba, countless hysterical Indian followers – not least the Prime Minister Manmohan Singh, Sonia Gandhi and other ‘luminaries’ are deathly silent about the fact that Sathya Sai Baba’s death was totally unlike those India has previously required of its holy men and women ...
Sathya Sai Central Trust disinformation
2011-04-28 12:39:00 The Sathya Sai Central trust gave an hour long press conference. As usual it was marked by bland unsubstantiated statements meaning nothing, with no supplementary questions allowed. The press corps left very unsatisfied with the Trust for not answering questions. The Chandigarth Tribune, among many other prominent Indian newspapers, published much the same facts I ...
Sathya Sai Baba?s death ? no miracles
2011-04-24 08:55:00 The death of Sathya Sai Baba was wrongly predicted by him, he did not live into his 90s as he prophesies on numerous occasions! Yet another false boast, and one which confounds all the devotees who blindly believed his words and in his divinity. He died a sick man, in more sense than one! As ...
Sai Baba devotees and surreal death-bed scenarios
2011-04-23 13:59:00 Times of India PUTTAPARTHI: A sense of surrealism pervades this small town with a population of 25,000. ”He is god. He will overcome this phase and start giving darshans. That’s my belief, you may not believe this but I do,” asserted trust secretary and mover and shaker K Chakravarthi to TOI. “He has divine powers to ...
Barry Pittard?s Articles Most-Sought During Sathya Sai Baba Health Crisis (
2011-04-23 08:39:00 In that the links may be useful for readers - especially those new to, or less familiar, with this blogsite - I shall give below a list of Urls (Part 1 of 3) at this blogsite which, as I can see from an internal statistical read-outs, are getting solid 'hits'. To put the matter mildly .... Plenty of these usages originate from: Google and other search engines. Our allied blogsites and websites, such as Robert Priddy's highly organized main website: Sathya Sai Baba In Word and Action and his blogsite: Sathya Sai Baba Deceptions Exposed and from the general website Exbaba.comwhich contains a huge amount of contribution by former devotees from many countries. Important locations, especially for those who wish extensive, scholarly presentation are Brian Steel's writings at: Sathya Sai Baba: The Guru Who Claimed to be God on Earth and Recent Research on Sathya Sai Baba and A Bibliography of Apologetic Writings Many 'hits' come from individuals who search within 'Call For M...
Sathya Sai Baba 96 years old?
2011-04-22 14:15:00 When will Sathya Sai Baba die – aged 96, or 92, or very shortly at 86? The prophesy Sai Baba allegedly made about himself ?leaving his body? at the age of 96 was reported by several devotee writers as the age 95 and/or 96 (in some places in India a person who is 95, yet ...
Sathya Sai Baba buried alive?
2011-04-20 13:23:00 The developing narrative about Sathya Sai Baba, in his critical condition of ‘living death’, has taken an incomprehensible grotesque twist. Several major Indian news outlets – like Indian Express, and India Today – consider this newsworthy enough to publish. That anyone can seriously even suggest that anyone should be buried ALIVE is so outrageous that ...
Sathya Sai Baba fully silenced, even maltreated and imprisoned?
2011-04-16 13:04:00 The battle over Sathya Sai Baba (and his wealth) has broken out in full and the Indian press are reporting it. At long last, after numerous pointed warning by dissidents, the total unaccountability of the Sathya Sai Central Trust is being broached by the media and challenged by interested parties up to ministerial level, and ...
Guru?s Partisans Banned From Editing Of Wiki ?Sathya Sai Baba? Entry
2011-01-24 00:39:00 Like 'democracy' itself, the Wikipedia online encyclopedia can be a great idea. Against large odds, it has just reached its first decade of existence. Wiki is meant to be a vast knowledge base on almost an infinity of topics. Servers worldwide ensure that it is kept secure and online, and that anyone from anywhere, given that one is equipped with a computer and an internet account, can contribute. That is to say - supposedly - provided they adhere to certain laid-down guidelines and methods. There is also a system of arbitrators - dotted (some would say, far too sparsely dotted) round the world - who can assist contributors who fall into difficulty or dispute. The theory is that errors are wide open to be corrected by the original contributor or other users, if not at once then over time. Prima facie, what can be more 'democratic' than all this? The Wiki catch-cry is: anyone can edit. However, what suppose many cannot edit for nuts?! Alike, many lay and academic contributor...
Sathya Sai Baba and His Sect: Links to Critical Blogsites and Websites
2011-01-21 23:16:00 Sathya Sai Baba And His Sect: Links to Critical Blogsites and Websites. Including the following and many others ..... Sathya Sai Baba In Word and Action An extensive, highly organized site by the former long-time head and co-founder of the Sathya Sai Organization in Norway. He was a notable contributer to the official organ, Sanathana Sarathi, whose writing was much valued by the Editor of this publication, his friend V.K. Narasimhan, a courageous and legendary Indian journalist.
Dr John Hislop: Sathya Sai Baba Both Fallible and Infallible
2011-01-15 01:16:00 Dr John Hislop, one-time top leader of the Sathya Sai Organization in the USA, and before that head of the Maharishi Mahesh Yogi foundation in the USA, said that Sai Baba was fallible, but ... still infallible! To a mind not caught in the need to rationalize and justify the inexplicable, Dr John Hislop's notion of fallibility within infallibility is a case of psychological denial and of mental gymnastics at a far stretch. Like so many devotees, especially those close to Sathya Sai Baba, Hislop knew very well that Sai Baba told lies. Devotees, however, pass these off as, variously, "Baba's funny little ways"; "his sparing of our feelings"; his "Leelas" (meaning his divine sportiveness .... When writing, they use a capital 'L'); "his perfect 'Truth', but our human imperfection" which cannot see that he is teaching us some profound lesson, for example, in learning detachment; and more such Procrustean racking of human reason and commonsense. He exhorts that his devotees: "Love...
V.P.B. Nair Told BBC Sai Baba Bedroom Killings Were ?Coldblooded Murder?
2011-01-06 11:49:00 In mid 2004, former Andhra Pradesh Home Secretary, V.P.B. Nair spoke to the BBC about the official corruption that attended the police killings in Sathya Sai Baba's bedroom in June 1993. He said he intended to take steps to get the case re-opened. But has he done anything of the sort? It is an odd irony that exposure of these killings at Puttaparthi, and the subsequent profound suppression of investigation, have been effectively left up to two individuals gifted with cussed unstoppableness - the late Basava Premanand in India and Robert Priddy in Norway.
?God? (Sathya Sai Baba) Blunders On! ? On History
2011-01-02 02:04:00 Sathya Sai Baba's blunders on history and science are big. For some science examples, see the articles cited at the foot of this page. Readers perturbed to see their friends, family or colleagues getting into the Sathya Sai Baba cult may consider - if the victims are not too far blinded - sharing such materials as highlighted in red, below. A great many educated people have learnt enough history to see what absurd nonsense is revealed in such claims of Sathya Sai Baba. Yet here is a man - of imperial wealth and vast sway over the minds of many, including those supposedly educated - who proclaims to the millions that he is all-knowing, all-seeing and all-powerful. And that he is the 'Avatar' (embodiment of God on earth) who will effectively transform the entire world in his own lifetime. Here is a man - and no god of any sort - at whose feet successive Indian Prime Ministers, Presidents and other eminences, across a wide religious and political spectrum, have repeatedly fallen...
Gerald Moreno attacks devoted, reverential worship of Sai Baba?s feet
2010-12-31 11:16:00 Concerning Sai Baba devotees’ worship of his so-called “Holy, Lotus Feet”, I once referred to the virtual hysteria of many followers at darshan (when Sai Baba walks by) to get to his feet by hook or by crook, as feet fetishism. Soon thereafter my greatest critic and self-appointed enemy, Gerald Joe Moreno, contrived a whole ...
Wikileaks and Indian Troops Atrocities Reports. Sai Baba Fails To ?Clean Up
2010-12-19 00:44:00 This is but one of a number of huge issues erupting in India right at the moment. Every tragic year that passes shows that Sathya Sai Baba has not "cleaned up (his) own backyard", as he long ago promised he would do. India's security and well-being do not rest in the hands of her superstitious and corrupt leadership - many individuals of which gather around Sathya Sai Baba. They are in the hands of those who at every level actively and honestly struggle, with great sacrifice, against the venalities. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- WikiLeaks: India 'systematically torturing civilians in Kashmir' US diplomats were given evidence suggesting India was systematically torturing civilians in Kashmir, according to leaked cables. Police, Security and Sathya Sai Baba
2010-12-13 00:43:00 An array of media, scholars, government services, civic institutions, and many others read our writings. I have extracted the following links related to police and security from a Links page with brief commentaries on articles. That page has been assiduously compiled by Robert Priddy, and contains links to many articles he and I, and any other extensive writer such as Brian Steel, have written on an array of topics concerning Sathya Sai Baba and his cult. Sathya Sai Baba Abuse Survivors: When ?Moving On? Can Be Staying Stuck
2010-12-05 23:01:00 Some former devotees of Sathya Sai Baba Sai Baba, though not most, get upset that many survivors of his sexual and other forms of abuse do not public. They make make the same kind of mistaken assumptions that Sai Baba's defenders make who ask e.g., where is all the proof? Both these reactions are ill-informed, inappropriate and insensitive. People who are badly traumatized - very typically - feel acute difficulty in being able to talk about their traumatic experience. One human reaction to trauma lack of awareness of the extent of what upheaval has occurred. Psychological denial, and wanting to 'move on' are common. See: On Leaving the Sathya Sai Baba Cult (Part 1.)- Ex Leaders and Rank-and-File and On Leaving A Powerful Global Cult. Sathya Sai Baba Example (Part 2) On Leaving A Powerful Global Cult. Sathya Sai Baba Example (Part 3) It is known that a great many survivors endure years in silence and shame at what has happened to them. The case of those who have suffered...
U.S. Psychologist Shirley Pike?s Moving Challenge To Sathya Sai Baba and Hi
2010-11-29 22:09:00 The Sathya Sai Organization faces yet more resignations, and also departure of those who leave without formally resigning. International coordinators such as Robert Priddy and myself (see sidebar at bottom right hand side of this page) are always happy to provide, from a wide database, contact details of those who have left and are willing to be contacted, and who reside in an area as close as possible to that of any enquirer. We have professional protocols to ensure that those who contact us are genuine. For individuals and families who have faced sore difficulties, we can also refer to very qualified, experienced professional counselers. People from many professions, trades and cultures have left Sathya Sai Baba, and down the years, have continued to show the same attitudes of service in their communities as they did when followers of Sathya Sai Baba. One of these is the child psychologist Shirley Pike (Ex-President, North Central Region: Ex-President Cedar Rapids Center, Iowa ...
Avatar of Deception: Sathya Sai Baba. 85, But Says He Will Rule World
2010-11-26 21:48:00 As the international Sathya Sai Organization knows to its immense cost (both financially and morally), many have left, having been able to analyse for themselves the many and terrible distortions of fact generated by Sathya Sai Baba and his core servitors. Many shockingly suffering individuals and families around the world have needed to perform no analysis at all, since they have been prime victims of Sathya Sai Baba's and his officials' grave misconduct. For those still in the throes of leaving the Sai cult, it is a time of profound emotional, intellectual and social upheaval. These afflictions cannot be expected to go away quickly. Those of us who have stuck at the job of exposure commonly find that leave-takers of the organization take a year or two, and sometimes much longer, to collect their thoughts in a consecutive way. Those who make a quick matter of transition to replacement life styles often say that they have 'moved on'. There is a whole psychological literature t...
Sathya Sai Baba?s Gross Exaggerations of Puttaparthi Crowd Numbers
2010-11-20 23:25:00 Robert Priddy (he for much longer) and I can fairly claim a friendship with the late V.K. Narasimhan, who had been, before he retired to Puttaparthi, the legendary and courageous editor of a number of India's top newspapers, such as 'The Hindu' and 'The Indian Express' and 'The Deccan Herald'. We would regularly sit together in his humble quarters at Puttaparthi, and he also received me as a guest in the family home in Chennai. Not long before VKN died, he instructed the hospital staff to allow me, even though considerable restrictions had been placed on visitation rights, to visit him at the Sathya Sai Superspeciality Hospital at Puttaparthi. I had been editing his book on the great French Jesuit philosopher and palaeontologist Pierre Teilhard de Chardin. I had seen a Priddy note in which he took to task a Sai Baba apologist who typified those many followers who reveal deep and repeated flaws of reasoning that are simply not acceptable in any proper discussion. He wrote to ...
Many Contradictions In Sathya Sai Baba Official Literature
2010-11-18 23:05:00 In countries right round the world, when people began leaving Sathya Sai Baba, one of the most typical and prompt responses was to get rid of all the paraphenalia that belonged to devotion to this guru. This meant: the books, the official newsletter, Sanathana Sarathi, the photos, rings, pendants and so on, which would otherwise bring back memories that would prove far more painful than joyful. Fortunately, since the books and publications such as Sanathana Sarathi, individuals of scholarly mind, such as Robert Priddy, Brian Steel and Alexandra Nagel, realised the importance of preserving documentation. Robert Priddy was a contributor to Sanathana Sarathi, and much respected by its editor, the reknown (retired) Indian newspaper editor, V.K. Narasimhan. Here are his articles, which state positions very different to what he has thought in the last decade. Priddy was co-founder and longtime head of the Sathya Sai Organization of Norway. For those who like to delve into archives, ...
On Deception: Phillip Adams Observes A James Randi Demonstration
2010-10-31 00:00:00 In this weekend's 'The Australian' (30-31 October 2010), renowned broadcaster and journalist Phillip Adams relates an amusing episode during the visit to Australia from the famous U.S. magician and exposer of psychic scams, James Randi. In regard to anyone with a mind bent on deception - be it magician, politician, psychic, etc., - Phillip Adams ends his piece by commenting: "When they want you to look at A, look at B. He says that Randi took an unlit cigarette and put it on a desk, saying that:

Email Correspondence with ARORA, VISHAL
2010-09-23 20:27:00 As part of his researches, Vishal Arora contacted both Sathya Sai Baba proponents and dissidents. As his article shows with all clarity, he was unable to penetrate the wall of silence and propaganda that surrounds all Sathya Sai Baba and all his officials and ashram people. Gerald Moreno went straight into an offensive to try ...
Vishal Arora and Gerald Moreno?s vain deceptive e-mails
2010-09-21 19:54:00 On June 1st, 2010, the Indian magazine ‘The Caravan’ edited by Vishal Arora, a New Delhi investigative journalist, published an extensive article about Sathya Sai Baba and his ashrams. It was entitled ‘The Land of Illusion’ and was based on widespread contacts and research by the author, who also visited the Prashanthi Nilayam ashram himself ...
Institutional Sex Corruption: Plight of Roman Catholic Church and Sathya Sa
2010-09-19 01:00:00 In the face of far too powerful, worldwide exposure of endemic Roman Catholic Church corruption, Pope Benedict XVI has called for reconciliation. Only at this chronically late hour, and in the face of terrible and universal threat to his institution's survival, does he begin to treat sexual abuse as a reportable crime, and make apologies, and require his officials to take meaningful actions against the sexual abuse that the world now nows is rampant in his Church. It is the year 2010 and yet official communiques coming from the Vatican and other official sections of the Roman Catholic Church almost make it sound as though decades of sexual abuse complaints involving priests all over the world were something new. There may be contrite tears now, and official cries for reconciliation. But where were these down the decades of victims' anguish? The Sathya Sai Organization still has not come to this point. It too has lain low. It too has turned a hard heart of the cries of individua...
BBC Footage Still Potent In Exposing Sathya Sai Sect (See Video Clips and S
2010-09-16 22:11:00 A potent factor in successive waves leaving Sathya Sai Baba has been video footage exposing the fraudulence that is Sathya Sai Baba. Especially for those pressed for time, here are some decisive clips from the BBC's 'The Secret Swami'. Although the documentary was first aired in mid 2004, it has since been viewed in many countries worldwide, contributing to enormous damage done to the Sathya Sai Baba Organizaton, and the repute of its founder and those of his following who have - in some cases wittingly and in a great many cases all too unwittingly covered up for him.
Gross fraudulence: Gerald Moreno tries to ridicule Robert Priddy
2010-09-16 11:25:00 On Gerald Moreno’s countless hundreds of anti-Priddy websites, blogs and comments, few show such patently manipulated (i.e. falsified) screen captures than the one shown below. [Yet he took care to accuse me - also falsely - of fraudulent screen-caps, which were actually made from Google caches, which differ from the original site in details, and ...
A Sathya Sai Saga. Barry Pittard Recollects. Part 6
2010-08-28 01:12:00 Importance to Morale Of Professional Counselors In Former Devotee Networking Among the increasingly networked former followers were mental health professionals, including highly qualified ones, up to associate professor in status. One felt thankful for the presence of these abuse counseling professionals. They, like many of us acquainted with compelling cases from around the world are in no doubt that Sathya Sai Baba has long been a serial sexual abuser of boys and young men, and other grave forms of abuse, including those by certain of his close associates. We laypersons can all learn, of course, more effective ways of managing shocking revelations that can occur in our lives. At the same time, the best of intentions can go awry if we mistake our limitations. We had to be aware, for example, that an abuse survivor who may sense urgency to warn and save others can risk unforeseen kinds of attack. This can relate to their families, professions, places of study, and so on. Those ...
Why Have Ex-Devotees Not Landed Sathya Sai Baba In Jail?
2010-07-31 07:28:00 An individual just wrote to this site. The reader will readily pick up the issues in reading on: ..... ......... Should I feel that you show a robust readiness to read these and other basic readings, some of which should begin to answer, in a variety of ways, the query that you have put to me, and a truthful sincerity to engage (as thus far) in a civil correspondence where it is not your intention to abuse or libel many wonderful people who have left Sathya Sai Baba, I shall be glad to correspond with you.
Gerald Moreno: straw man fallacy re Conny Larsson, Sanjay Dadlani etc.
2010-07-10 23:37:00 The logical fallacies that Moreno does not employ cannot be listed, as there seem to be none. He is the great proponent of argumentum ad hominem and equally the straw man argument. This fallacy is one of his most basic crutches. The Straw Man fallacy occurs when one ignores a person’s actual position and substitutes ...

Alexandra Nagel. A Seminal Writer On Sathya Sai Baba, A Guru Accused
2010-07-02 22:35:00 Rapidly, from around the world, there was an upthrust of allegation and counter-allegation. Apart from material often by non-writers, there was serious, sustained, analytical work. After the watershed first two to three years of internet exposure of Sathya Sai Baba and his sect, others than the Dutch former devotee academic writer Alexandra Nagel, like Robert Priddy, Brian Steel, Timothy Conway Ph.D., and myself took issues to many other levels, but certainly Ms Nagel's writing was seminal, and it would be a pity to see it neglected. (Her M.A. thesis deals with aspects of the History of Western Esotericism). Though she has dealt with internet issues, she herself has not had a blogsite or website. Robert Priddy, Brian Steel, Timothy Conway have long had extensive websites. The the former two have blogsites, and I have this one, 'Call For Media and Government Investigation of Sathya Sai Baba'. See: A Guru Accused. Sai Baba, from Avatar to Homo-paedophile. Alexandra H. M. Nagel. ...

Sathya Sai Baba?s Chief Broadcaster Dr G. Venkataraman: Select Critical Art
2010-06-23 23:04:00 Sathya Sai Baba Broadcaster Dr G. Venkarataraman: Select Critical Articles, by Barry Pittard Dr Venkataraman is about as close to Sathya Sai Baba as it is possible to get. His worldwide brief as his international broadcaster and his deputy chairmanship of the Sathya Sai Organization makes it revelvant to look at his performance. The reader may keep in mind the question: Is Venkataraman's performance what one would expect of a chief disciple of - supposedly - God fully incarnate? Of course, even the most eminent disciples of famous spiritual leaders of the past made some bad showings, but (if the historical records are to be credited) turned out okay in the final run home. But has Venkataraman done so? A detailed analyis of Venkatarman at work is found in Robert Priddy's and Barry Pittard's jointly authored, four-part article 'The Sathya Sai Organization's Deception and Propaganda Exposed' |
