  These are the times that try men's souls. . . The Cubs placed right-hander Carlos Zambrano on the 15-day disabled list on Saturday, retroactive to Aug. 2, with back spasms. To replace Zambrano on the 25-man roster, the Cubs recalled right-handed reliever Jeff Stevens from their Triple-A Iowa affiliate. Stevens is available for Saturday night's game against the Rockies at Coors Field. As if that weren't enough, our offense seems to have gone D.B. I think this is how we all feel about Geo coming back Strap on an oxygen tank and prepare to have Coors thrust upon you, because tonight the Cubs roll on into Denver, and this time we have Geo Soto with us. Carlos Zambrano (7-4, 3.55) will take the mound for Cubbies against the unfortunately-named Ubaldo Jimenez (8-9, 3.76). Jimenez is one of the few pitchers who can probably match Z when it comes to velocity. Luckily for us, Cubs hitters have had good luck against him in the past, with several of our players hitters over .500 against. The same can't be said for the Rockies, who have struggled against Z in the past....

This is the only picture of ass on my gamethread! Wow, look at that ass.  That is quite an ass isn't it?  I can't say for certain it's Rich Harden's ass, but it is magnificent anyway. You should all be ashamed of yourselves for objectifying this man. Rich Harden takes on longtime whipping boy, the Marquis de Suck.  Okay, okay that was unfair.  Lets look at this objectively.  Jason Marquis was better than a serviceable pitcher.  If you count him as a number five, he was damn near excellent.  I say these things to be able to point my finger at the few dimwits in the stands who actually booed him.  Come on you guys, really?  Worse yet, you booed Glendon Rusch?  The man suffered from near career ending blood clots for crying out loud.  Show some class. That being said, let's get out there and kick some Rockies ass!  Someone will be along soon with the line up.

One of the mommas on my mommy message board posted a link to a survey to get free Rockies tickets. This was just a few weeks after I posted my 101 list and was perfect! We went to the game last night and had a great time! Sweet Pie was more interested in the snacks we brought and the food at the concession stand, but she enjoyed it. Coors Field also has a little playground for the kids which was right near our seats as well so we had to visit there too.
