Rodney Atkins---Cleaning this Gun (Come on in Boy)
2008-02-20 14:48:00
When I first heard this song, I can't help but laugh but I like it right away. Hubby and I like it right away. We were on the road when we first heard this playing. The lyrics cracks me up. It's kinda funny but it's true. I am sure most fathers can relate to this song. Even my husband told me, he'd probably feel the same and do the same if and when we have a daughter going out for her date. He'll probably scare the crap out of the boy.Rodney Atkins---Cleaning this Gun (Come on in Boy)The song reminds me of my dad. I remember when I was a teenager, he scares the hell out of my boyfriend(s). Hahaha. I love my dad .... very much!

Stop the Scripted Encores, Already!
2007-12-19 17:21:00
Mike Osegueda is tired of predictable and lame encores. He’s sick of the fake suspense and thinks the ticket buyers deserve a little unscripted magic. Make it a real encore. Here’s a tip: If the lights don’t go up when the band leaves the stage, there’s gonna be an encore. Doesn’t matter how loud you squeal ...

New Opry Theme Song From Brad Paisley To Debut Tomorrow Night
2007-10-26 17:35:00
Not everyone who hears the new Bingham album is immediately hooked. Andrew Gilstrap rates the album a little above average, claiming “Mescalito is surprisingly devoid of edge.” AMA board member Doyle Davis says that “Americana tends to favor lyricists,” and because of that sometimes the country-flavored acts get more emphasis even though the genre encompasses R&B, ...

Grand Ole Opry Finds New Home With XM Satellite Radio

Houston Press ranks the 10 worst songs to ever come out of Houston. Both Kenny Rogers and Clint Black make the list for “You Decorated My Life” and “I Raq and Roll” (which sounds horrible from the title alone). Both artists also make The Houston 100, a list of Houston’s top songs ever. The list ...

Brad Paisley vs. Kellie Pickler: You Be The Judge
2007-08-07 16:44:00
Ivan Maisel makes a couple of Brad Paisley references in his 2007 College Football preview. Special teams might decide a lot of games, because coaching strategy will come straight out of another new Paisley lyric (almost), I’d like to check you for kicks. Why does he allude to Paisley you ask, because Paisley sings with a twang ...
Rodney Atkins Celebrates Platinum Status And Last Of The Breed Debuts At #7

Michelle Branch, from the “country” duo The Wreckers, has a stalker. The guy shows up at all of her shows, sends her letters and videos, and even lunged at her once during an autograph session. Scary stuff. Dierks Bentley and his wife Cassidy talked to People about their wedding on the beach in Mexico. Although Dierks and ...
Rodney Atkins - If You're Going Through Hell
2007-03-19 15:48:00
This is Rodney’s third album and you would like this album if you’re into traditional. Instrumentally, this album is loaded with traditional country styles. Matter of fact, Rodney is one of those artists who holds-on-to his traditional roots. Most of the songs her wrote have deep idealistic messages, and common/real life issues which Rodney is attempting to express to his audiences. Probably with his major in psychology he is the perfect artist to listen to. Anyway, I feel this album is strong and should please any country music audiences regardless of genre. By the way if you weren’t aware, Rodney featured his family (son) on this music video “Watching You”. I like this video, because in a way it had inspired me to be a better person. So, all you daddy out there, this is an inspirational music video for you. You got to watch it. Good messages Rodney!Powered by eSnips.com
