UFO Hits Romanian Jet?
2008-06-13 01:45:00 A UFO had a mid-air collision with a fighter jet over central Europe, a leaked report has revealed. Defense chiefs are investigating claims that the Romanian MIG 21 fighter plane was struck by 'strange objects'. The official report says the cockpit of the jet was shattered. Romanian defense ministry officials have ruled out all normal types of collision such as bird strikes, ice or small meteorites. Chief investigator Commander Nicolae Grigorie said in the report: 'We can definitely say what this thing was not, but we cannot say what it was.' The impact on a training flight above Transylvania took only 67 milliseconds and was recorded on an in-flight video camera. Pilot Marin Mitrica was slightly injured but managed to land the plane safely after the incident last year.Baffled defense chiefs have now passed the UFO incident on to the Security Committee of European Air Forces for investigation.Source re-print from Metro UKRC Edrington

Experts forecast that this is the first year in which, in several areas prices will either fall or stagnate. Office rentals will also stagnate in 2008 and after 2009-2010, prices in the sector might fall. The reason I’m writing again now is a Manpower survey that really shows how the situation is over here. On one hand we have several big companies moving here for the cheaper workforce (probably the most known is Renault making the Logan here) and more recently Nokia moving from Germany. As I said in my previous post, you can still get unskilled cheap labour force here. On the other hand I have my own experiences trying to hire, and the Manpower results that says: “Romania faces biggest labour shortage in the world“. “Engineers’ salaries reached as much as over 1,000 euros a month over the last few years, and in certain fields, such as IT&C they may go up to as much as 2,500 euros. Infamous Romanian eBay Hacker Arrested
2008-04-18 18:05:00 An infamous Romanian hacker, who plagued online auction giant eBay for three years by hacking into customer and eBay staff accounts and then taunting eBay by posting customer identity information online at eBay, was arrested in Romania yesterday. Vlad Duiculescu, or Românul Vlad Constantin Duiculescu, 20, is accused by Romanian authorities of “illegally accessing email accounts of eBay users in 2005-2007.” According to a Romanian newspaper, Duiculescu also cost eBay an estimated $3 million, by creating phishing websites which appeared to be eBay but which were lookalikes generated to steal consumers’ credit card numbers and passwords. What brought “Vladut,” as Duiculescu was known, down? Greed. Working in conjunction with Romanian authorities, the FBI and the U.S. Secret Service, eBay managed to contact Vladut and offered to buy his phishing/hacking software.
