Delegates voted by secret ballot to overturn their initial decision to list these overfished species under the Convention on International Trade in Endangered Species (CITES), following a massive lobbying effort by the coral industry and some exporting countries. The proposal initially passed on Wednesday, with 62 countries voting in support of the listing. Scientists have long called for trade protection for red corals (scientific name: Corallium / AKA: pink corals), with over 2,000 other coral species listed under CITES. Red corals are among the world’s most valuable wildlife commodities, with a finished necklace retailing for up to $20,000. 2007-06-30 11:27:00 Right, as stated before, i'ld post about something which has been ticking me off for quite some time now.As the title says : is it Rouges, or Rogues? Because some people dont seem to be able to spell it right.It's ROGUES ,people, the class which backstabs you when you least expect it & can open lockboxes! And they can sap! (Sapped girls dont yell, as we all know)There is no such thing as ROUGES, the word Rouge exists, its something you put on your cheeks to make it seem like you're blushing a bit. Would you put something on your face if you'ld see a Rogue? I wouldn't, thats for sure...Just had to write a small rant about this because every day i see people spamming trade with "LF Rouge to open my lockbox" & stuff. 2007-06-17 12:30:00 MIDDLE AGE IN XXI CENTURY - MAY 2005Perouges is a lovely well kept medieval treasure located 34 kms from Lyon, 38 kms from Bourg en Bresse, and 120 kms from Geneva. At an altitude of 290 m, it has roughly 900 inhabitants, 80 of which residing within the walled city limits.Perouges appears to have been founded by a Gallic colony returning from Perugia in Italy. The sites of the two towns are strangely alike, and their ways of spelling are identical. The Romans built a beacon tower here, governing the road from the Rhone valley and defending Lugdunum (Lyon). Standing high on the hill, Perouges was long fought by Savoy and Dauphiné, and finally became French by the Treaty of Lyon in 1601. It was rescued from demolition in 1911, and was freed from Nazi occupation by U.S. and French resistance forces in 1944.
