Obama i la Ruta 66
2008-11-05 23:58:00 Tots els mitjans de comunicació han fet una programació especial sobre la nit electoral a Estats Units. Una nit d'esperança. Ho vaig seguir per TV3 i la CNN. La retransmissió dels americans va ser com sempre completa i espectacular. Abans vaig veure un bon reportatge de la situació actual del país fent un recorregut per la Ruta 66. Des de l’inici a Chicago –seu de la candidatura de Barack Obama– fins a Santa Monica, Los Angeles, tot passant per Arizona, amb capital a Phoenix, –quarter general de John McCain– la que és sens dubte una de les icones tradicionals d’aquesta gran nació.
Solexrijders uit Tuk bijna bij eindpunt Route 66
2008-10-21 13:25:00 Het einddoel is in zicht voor de twintig leden van Solexclub De Tjop Tjoppers uit Tuk. Ze rijden op de Solex de 4000 kilometer lange Route 66. Dat is de beroemde weg van Chicago naar Santa Monica bij Los Angeles. Met de reis viert de Solexclub het tienjarig bestaan en wordt geld binnengehaald voor het goede doel. Woensdag hopen de Solexrijders in Santa Monica aan te komen. Tijdens Het Overijssels Hart volgen we de Solexrijders. Tijdens Het Overijssels Hart sprak ik met deelnemer Aad van Osselen. TomTom kan ook, maar dan moet je een externe gps ontvanger kopen. Men kiest op dit moment vooral voor Route 66, omdat deze het beste compatible is met de interne gps ontvanger van de N95.
