SOHH Sports: We Major Wednesdays: Roy Jones Jr.-Felix Trinidad Fight One Mo
2007-12-19 18:07:00 What up! It's December 19th, exactly one month from the Roy Jones Jr.-Felix Trinidad fight at the Garden. Keep it funky ... did y'all even know about this fight!? Wait, hold up, hold up ... do y'all even care about this fight? I mean, it's been so under the radar and for good reason, but I will say that it's a good matchup because both these dudes are waay past their prime and refuse to just retire. They both got egos and want to prove they still have one more 'W' left in 'em. I will say that Tito is a wisely-chosen opponent for even Roy Jones was forced to lean back. Even at 39, the age Jones will be when he enters the ring at the Garden, I think he still may have power on Tito. But who you got? Who's winning this and how!? Holla at me. P.S. Don King's a maniac.

Roy Jones Jr. Talks UFC
2007-07-03 18:14:00 In a recent interview, former four-division champ Roy Jones Jr. touched upon the UFC, with a more positive outlook. It looks like bashing the UFC and mixed martial arts was the "in" thing to do if you were an attention craving boxer (i.e. Floyd Mayweather Jr., Bernard Hopkins, Tommy Morrison). However, Roy Jones Jr. decided to separate himself from the pack and had only good things to say about the sport. The following is from an article featured at Boxingscene.com:"I watch it all the time. They have the best fighters fighting the best fighters and that's what boxing needs. You never can tell what will happen in a fight. Look at the last [Chuck] Liddell fight. Bam, 10 seconds it was over. They got that explosion they were waiting for. Boxing didn't get the same explosion out of Mayweather-De La Hoya.UFC is a great thing, but boxing has to get on it's a game. UFC is the best fighting the best and that what boxing has to do. If you are an ultimate fighter, you are going to fight som...
