What nostalgic memories this classic doll brings back ... of snowy Ohio days spent playing in my bed or on the floor with my very own Raggedy Ann ... while my brother tried to grab her and hide her from me. Those were the carefree days when kids enjoyed the simpler things in life, when we all thought we were invincible. Ah-hhhhhh ...I enjoyed giving both Raggedy Ann and Andy to my kids when they were young, and relating the history of how they came to be classics ... through the books written about them. Reading the books to the kids was an enjoyable experience, too, as my Grannie Sue had read them to me ... once upon a time long ago. ... sigh ...This doll is not only cute and lovable, she appears to be quite durable. However, I already see a few loose threads, so I suppose she won't endure like the one I had as a child--but what does in this day of rapid assembly-line production? Not saying this doll is assembled in that fashion, just that NOTHING receives the tender, lovi...
