The cult of Russ Feingold
2008-02-22 20:28:00 By VictorM:The greatest US Senator on the land had been reluctant to endorse any Democratic candidate but now, even without an official endorsement, Russ Feingold has sent a strong signal:Sen. Russ Feingold said today that he voted for Democratic presidential candidate Sen. Barack Obama in this week's Wisconsin primary and indicated that he likely will vote for Obama's nomination as one of the state's "superdelegates" to the Democratic convention this summer.I'm still willing to support either of the two Democratic candidates, but Russ Feingold's views carry a lot of weight with me. And I'm not the only one:Feingold is the reason I dropped my support for Edwards, so I'm glad to see he and I are on the same page with respect to Obama.I agree 100%. There is no one in government that I too respect more than Senator Feingold and his endorsement seals the deal for me!I know the world does not work this way, but I wish he could be veep.

What?s at Stake in Pakistan by Senator Russ Feingold, The Huffington Post
2007-11-15 10:58:00 Indeed, recent events in Pakistan highlight the administration’s failure to carry through on its stated commitment to promoting democratic reforms and basic human rights. In March 2000, just prior to President Clinton’s visit in Pakistan with General Musharraf, I urged him to press Musharraf to act on his stated intentions to return Pakistan to civilian ...

Russ Feingold with Chris Wallace
2007-08-01 14:38:00 Sometimes I marvel at the ability of politicians to simply stay on message regardless of the questions being asked. You see it in debates, you see it in television interviews, you see it during friendly QA sessions, you see it pretty much endlessly when it comes to politics. Usually a typical example goes something like this: Question: What can you tell us about subject A Politician: Well A is very important and I have some great ideas on the subject, sort of like the subject B which I want to talk about. subject B, subject B, subject B... On Sunday, Feingold gave a clinic in ignoring what was being said, while staying on subject no matter what. Can't tell if Feingold is just politically talented or logically challenged. WALLACE: Senator, according to this morning's New York Times, Gonzales may actually have been right. The dispute may have been over ? and this gets very technical ? the computer searches of databases, not the interception of phone calls. But in any point, ...

The Kossacks Hammer Russ Feingold For Refusing To Call For Bush And Cheney&
2007-07-18 14:15:00 From Right Wing News, Idiot liberal moonbat loons attack! I could become a rich man if I could invent a device with a misting device that would attach to your computer or laptop and give a nice calming mist of Xanax to liberals when they rant online. The trigger would be when heavy keyboard activity is detected, ...
Russ Feingold-not a smart man.
2007-01-29 23:20:02 I want everyone to be clear on exactly what my proposal will do. The first and most important thing to know is that my plan does not cut funding for the troops. Our troops will continue to receive the salaries, equipment, training and protection they need. What I am proposing is ending funds for the continued deployment of U.S. forces in Iraq six months after the enactment of the bill. This will require the President to safely redeploy troops from Iraq by that date. My bill does provide exceptions to allow for specific types of military missions within Iraq past the six-month deadline, such as targeted counter-terrorism efforts, the protection of American personnel and infrastructure, and a limited number of troops needed to help train Iraqi security forces. But these will be limited forces used for specific missions. OK, insurgents. Hold on for 6 months. In a burst of tough love, a policy not adhered to by Democrats on any other issue except ones where it hurts the United States...
