Vision of Christ | Sharing of Sacred Experience
2008-06-25 21:00:00 1.I had a vision just as I was awakening several years ago. Jesus was standing before me, and I stood in front of him trying to take the vision in and comprehend what I was seeing. It was that mystical time between sleeping and waking, before I am completely awake. Jesus was wearing the crown of thorns, and there were drops of blood on his forehead where the thorns were piercing his skin.I reached up to touch him, to feel the blood on his skin, and it was warm and real. I asked him if it is painful all the time. He told me that it was not painful, not anymore, because he was lifted beyond it. We didn't speak aloud, but it was communicated telepathically, in that I knew his thoughts and answers, and he knew mine. It was the communion of love.Since he was more than just the physical body, I asked if it would be possible if I could look through his eyes to see what he sees. He told me that I could do that. I was to direct my vision and thought to move inside his form and image, and...

Sacred Movement of Gurdjieff
2008-06-18 11:22:00 1.G. I. Gurdjieff (Jan 13, 1866 - Oct 29, 1949), the brilliant spiritual master and mystic developed the sacred movement based on ancient temples (sufi tekkes or lodges) dances he witnessed in Central Asia among Sufis whom he called Seekers of Truth. Gurdjieff took the sufi movements to a new height by incorporating principles of cosmic law which he discovered in his extensive spiritual searches throughout Asia and the Middle East."Imagine that in studying the laws of movement of the celestial bodies, let us say the planets of the solar system, you have constructed a special mechanism for the representation and recording of these laws. In this mechanism every planet is represented by a sphere of appropriate size and is placed at a strictly determined distance from the central sphere, which stands for the sun. You set the mechanism in motion, and all the spheres begin to turn and move in definite paths, reproducing in a lifelike way the laws which govern their movements. This mechani...
Singularity Meditation | alchemy of turning ordinary into sacred
2008-06-02 17:46:00 ( .about. )This is a meditation to achieve a mental state which is singular. Sufi mystics and Zen masters both have such spiritual goal ingrained into their traditions. ancient warriors also arrived consciously to this state before they went into battle, ritualistically accepting their impending death so they could function unencumbered by fear.(( .method. ))close your eyes. turn inward.inhale deeply.be mindful to what are you inhaling.you are inhaling not only air but also the Spirit of Lightthat encompasses everything;spanning from eternity to eternity, from infinity to infinity.with closed eyesinternally concentrate on the breathingand shift your focus to your heart areawhere the heart chakra is.alternatively you can focus in the middle of your forehead.this is the seat of soulwhere singularity consciousness appear.now say with your whole being,Hu Allahu Ahad. allow your 'self' to disappear.be free.know that your soul is always free, absolutely free.be free from your mind.free o...

The art itself worships and invites the viewer to join in the worship of God. As such, it should not stand out boldly of itself but be part of a worshipping environment.Works are anonymous, done by a group effort, and no...

Images of the Sacred Heart
2008-05-26 17:36:00 Saint Marguerite Marie Alacoque or Saint Margaret Mary Alacoque (22 July 1647 ? 17 October 1690) who promoted devotion to the Sacred Heart of Jesus in its modern form was prevailed upon to produce images for the devotion to the Sacred Heart. In her autobiography, the saint describes her first attempts on 20th July 1685 at producing an image. The original is in the Convent of the Visitation in Turin. The monastery at Paray had given it to the Convent on 7th October 1738 as the Convent which had been founded by St Francis de Sales was favoured by the Dukes of Savoy. The word "Charitas" is inscribed in gold letters in the middle. The second image was produced by the Saint in September 1686. It was sent by the saint to Mother de Soudeilles in Moulins. She gave two images: one a large image for placing by a crucifix; the other much smaller which could be carried about for peronal devotion. The original is in the Monastery of the Visitation at Nevers.
Batoni: The Artist of the Sacred Heart
2008-05-26 14:01:00 Chapel of the Sacred Heart, Church of the Gesu, Rome with the Oil on copper painting of the Sacred Heart painting of the Sacred Heart (1767) by Battoni and Domenico Maria Saverio Calvi Just finished at The National Gallery in London (18th May 2008) is an exhibition of the paintings of Pompeo Batoni (1708-1787), "Italy`s Last Old Master". See here.In his day Pompeo Batoni was the most celebrated painter in Rome and one of the most famous in Europe. But only two years after his death in 1787, Sir Joshua Reynolds predicted that Batoni's name would quickly fall into oblivion - and he was absolutely right.Throughout the 19th and for most of the 20th centuries few artists were more completely forgotten - or, if remembered, more thoroughly despised.Amongst his many achievements was to provide a series of paintings that could be used as a model for religious art.His representations of the Sacred Heart of Jesus were perhaps essential in the popularisation and spread of the devotion. One of th...

Sacred Text
2008-05-19 03:25:00 Carlos, with yet another totally transforming haircut (clipped close and kept gray), strides through our combined celestial white suites in clothes that cost the earth, cell phone to his now naked ear. The rooms are glass, floor to ceiling. Altocumulus rows undulate around us. A Mogul for the Ages. (That’s him.) Master of the Religion Without Rules (That’s me.) [This post is an excerpt from Diary of a Heretic, the novel. Click here to read the first episode, or here to read the previous one.] I sit festooned to an enormous white couch in new white clothes, which Maggie and I bought yesterday. My pulse beats beneath a silk collar band. It runs in a searing swath from my navel to my groin. I can’t swallow. I can’t breathe. I’m supposed to be composing the RWR Doctrine. The meetings have become weird and exhausting. I go on, say my stuff, people clap and cheer and money rises like mountains. Except, Carlos con...

Sacred Feminine | teachings and spiritual work
2008-05-05 05:50:00 "The Woman is waiting to be recognized"In the Oneness and the Heart of the World event the subject matter of Sacred Feminine and the Feminine aspect of Divine was raised. Some audience also questioned how we can heal the damage that organized religion and faith system has done across all religions by its one sided patriarchal view point which side tracked the inseparable Feminine Face, Feminine wisdom and Her recognition. In response Llewellyn Vaughan-Lee, the Shaykh of Golden Sufi reminded how his own teacher was a woman (Ms. Irina Tweedie) and was sent by her Teacher from India to West. Part of her work was inspired to help re-emerge the Feminine Consciousness back into our spiritual consciousness and to the practices. Llewellyn, the successor of Ms. Irina Tweedie is carrying on the same mission and has been teaching on the Role of Sacred Feminine and how it is going to play a major role for the reemergence of the World Soul.Working with Oneness website contains Llewellyn Vaughan-L...

This will enable you to manifest strategies for health and well-being, and expand on your experiences. What are your own views and gut feelings?1) What are we? Dannion believes we are great, powerful and mighty spiritual beings of Light living in a pysical world with dignity, direction and purpose.2) Why are we here? We choose to come here as a 'force of one' in order to make chan...
Psychotherapy, Intimacy, and the Sacred
2008-04-26 07:31:00 A GoodTherapy.org Featured Column written by John Rhead, Ph.D. Click here to contact John and/or see her GoodTherapy.org Profile Intimacy refers to being seen or known. One can be seen or known by oneself, by another being (human or otherwise) or by God. Individual psychotherapy usually focuses on knowing oneself better, which is to say becoming more intimate with one’s self. The usual term for this process is “insight.” Group psychotherapy addresses being better known by others, which of course results in greater knowing of oneself in the process. This is the place where the term “intimacy” is most commonly used. Relationships with non-humans in which one comes to be known can be as mundane as a relationship with a pet dog or cat and as elaborate as encounters with spirit guides in all kinds of animal forms while engaging in shamanic journeying. Finally one may experience being known by God, or the Sacred Mystery, through spiritual practices such as prayer and medit...

The Six Sacred Trees of Internet Marketing
2008-04-16 20:33:00 In our previous articles, we've talked about the present state of the market and how to defeat and/or offset it by using a few wily marketing techniques. So what's your next line of defense as a business owner? Why, a little self-education, of course! Which brings us to six questions that we hear quite frequently, or what I like to refer to as "The Six Sacred Trees of Internet Marketing." Like ancient, magical trees of yore, these questions have remained shrouded in mystery throughout the past few years. The purpose of this post is to unveil their mysteries to you, the public. So let's begin. "What in the heck is Internet marketing?" would have to be the most commonly asked question (although I personally have enjoyed the more direct variant: "What do you guys do, anyway?"), so that's the one we'll address first. What In The Heck is Internet Marketing? Internet marketing is a blanket term that covers a multitude of internet marketing methods. There isn't a formal list of ...

Tao of Sacred Currency & Sacred Commerce
2008-04-14 00:03:00 I was eagerly waiting for sometime for this book "Sacred Commerce" since reading about it at Urth.TV a year ago. Now it is out!Sacred Commerce reverses the common assumption that business and spirituality are mutually opposed, and instead looks at business as a path of destiny. Your professional and business activities need not be divorced from your “regular” or “family” life. The notion of capitalism infused with the sacred expands the notion of profit with the concept and the reality of the fourth bottom line. Sacred Commerce advances the idea that commerce can be a vehicle to raise consciousness as well as a path towards Self-realization"The priests of ancient Egypt had vocations and roles above and beyond what we are accustomed to in our time. Some Egyptian priests never left the temple; they served by staying in perpetual dialogue with the universal current of life. Other priests were scribes, healers, teachers, mediators, and celebrants. Still others were known as Mer...
