Mr. Rockford and Miss Rotten...Two Extremes on Life's Spectrum
2008-05-14 04:36:00 The Diva was so sad to read about James Garner's stroke and hospitalization. I have always had very impure OMILF (Older Man I'd like to get frisky with) thoughts whenever I thought of him (and of course Ricardo "Rich Corinthian leather" Montalban) ... I can remember envying Sally Field in "Murphy's Romance" because he was so...so...yummy in that movie and of course I was a big "Rockford Files" fan as a teenager...and have watched "Victor/Victoria" more times than should be legal--again he was friggin' hawt as "King Marchand" Mercy, time for the Diva to take a cold shower!Just when you thought that irrepressible harpy from hell could not get any lower than a case of crotch crabs she manages to pull out all the stops and sink even further down the food chain. Seriously...does Dread Pirate Heather Mills stay awake at night plotting and planning how to become the most loathed creature to slither on this planet? Sheyat, she must....no one could b...
Sally Field Comments On Miley Cyrus Vanity Fair Picture Controversy
2008-05-03 00:00:00 Sally Field visited 'The Tonight Show with Jay Leno' on Friday night, where the veteran actress was asked about whether she had heard about the Miley Cyrus controversial pictures in Vanity Fair magazine. "I did. I didn't look for them. They just - yo
Sally Field Chews Out SAG President, Frightens Sandra Oh
2008-01-30 19:34:00 Sally Field aka Norma Rae reportedly went on a rampage during the recent SAG Awards. Field, angry over SAG's tardiness in beginning negotiations with the studios, allegedly got up in the face of president Alan Rosenberg, then continued her assault in various other locations."She cornered Alan and heatedly told him off," a witness said. "Then, she proceeded to lobby other actors on her way out of the tent, where she berated a Spanish news correspondent in front of Sandra Oh. Then, not yet satisfied by the commotion she was causing, she trapped Alison Janney on the curb as they were waiting in line for their limos."Sally, girlfriend - Norma Rae was 30 years ago. Don't you think it's time you got out of character?Sally's rep is denying the whole thing of course."She was sitting next to Alan at the table and wanted to talk to him," says the rep. "She didn't corner him. She thought talks should have begun sooner and was trying to relay information from other actors that contract...

Water Cooler Moment: Brothers & Sisters
2007-11-12 19:13:00 "36 Hours" - The Walker family pulls together for better or worse when Justin reaches a critical new low point with his addiction, while Kitty and Robert move toward their future together with a renewed perspective. So the big intervention happened last night. We all saw it coming from the episode where Nora shoved the pain killers in her addict son's face. I wouldn't put all the blame on her...it's a parents reaction to want to help their child in pain...but, as was demonstrated last night, Nora has spent too much time "baby-ing" Justin and as a result of the intervention she finally woke up to the fake that he needs to grow up.Kitty and Robert's story line is shaky to me. I'm not sure when he's going to tell Kitty he just promised his little girl that they wouldn't be trying for another baby in a really long time. Then Kitty wants to up the wedding date and start popping out babies (as we see for the next episode...in two weeks). I still say the relationship is doomed...even...
The Water Cooler: Brothers & Sisters
2007-10-22 17:34:00 "With Nora along for the ride, Kitty and Sarah's attempt at a spa escape quickly becomes an entangled mess. Meanwhile, Tommy crosses a dangerous line in search of companionship, Rebecca grows concerned with Justin's impossibly speedy recovery, and Kevin presses Saul to make a confession about his past." [source]Last night's episode was OK. I wouldn't say...enthralling, but I was glad when the writers decided to play on the "is Saul gay?" storyline a bit more. As far as that one goes, I get a feeling it's going to die out kind of soon and that Saul probably just experimented or something boring like that.Nora was getting on my nerves. I loves me some Sally, but when they were at the spa and she just wouldn't shut the fuck up in the 'quiet room' I wanted to smack her. I wanted to smack all three of the women when they were at the spa. I really wish Sarah had slept with that dude she picked up at the wedding....and I did love that they crashed a wedding for free booze and food....
Sally Field wins this Emmy and this is who they gave her as a love interest
2007-10-10 00:00:00 ABC and Brothers and Sisters have rewarded Sally Field's Emmy win with another love interest on the show according to The Hollywood Reporter. Although when the actor playing Nora Walker's high school sweetheart is Chevy Chase I wouldn't consider that a reward. Actually now that I think about if she can make it seem like ...
The Water Cooler: Brothers & Sisters
2007-10-08 16:22:00 "While Kevin, Kitty and Nora take a road trip to pick up Justin, Kitty balances personal and political issues with her future husband. Meanwhile, Tommy can't seem to get fatherhood right, and the truth finally comes out between Sarah and Rebecca." [source]Last night's episode was good....not great...but good. Like I called it, they didn't kill off Justin and all those previews of a funeral scene were merely a soldier's funeral attended by Kitty and Senator McCallister. I gotta say, after last night's ep, that McCallister (Lowe) is starting to grow on me....took a while...but I liked his speech on the conservative radio show, cheesy as it might have been, I felt it rang true, about what America is looking for in a president.I love that Rebecca's friend totally wanted to set Saul up with a dude and Saul openly admitted to not being gay. I'm not sure I believe him yet....I want to see what's the story with him and 'The O.C.'s' Doc Roberts. I smell a separation in Tommy's fu...
The Water Cooler: Brothers & Sisters
2007-10-01 16:53:00 So, who all saw last night's episode of Brothers & Sisters?"A year after losing their larger than life family patriarch and three weeks since hearing from Justin in the Middle East, the Walker family struggle to find cheer in celebrating Kitty's birthday.Sarah fights to salvage what's left of her failing marriage; Kevin learns the hard way about the sacrifices that true love brings; Tommy is at a loss as to how to provide the emotional support needed by his overwhelmed wife, Julia, after the death of their newborn son, while Kitty gets a first hand look at the challenges of being engaged to a U.S. senator (Rob Lowe as Senator Robert McCallister).Meanwhile, Saul questions his identity after a visit from an old friend, and the family's newest member, Rebecca, tries desperately to find her place in this very complex family puzzle."First of all, I would like to say that I don't think they'll kill Justin off. Even with the preview for next week (a military funeral and Nora getting ...
PERSPECTIVE: SALLY FIELD
2007-09-25 02:38:00 The actress throws a lefty-fit on the Emmy Awards - no one is surprised Actress cannot resist offending our troops and their mothers I’ve always respected, and sort of liked, Sally Field. She was, as we older folks recall, The Flying Nun on television - a witless show with no intrinsic value but charming to some I suppose. She approached adorable in the Burt Reynolds Bandit movies and has done some great dramatic acting during her career. To this day, she possesses a girlish charm and is still, to my eyes, a very attractive woman. It was not all that long ago that she portrayed an American woman married to an Iranian doctor in the brilliant Not Without My Daughter. The couple lived in the United States, and when the good doctor said that he wanted to pack up the family and visit his family in Iran for two weeks, Field’s character very reluctantly agreed. Soon after arriving, the doctor’s family was working him over for being an American sell out, and...

Celebrities: Patricia Heaton on Sally Field's censored Emmy Speech
2007-09-19 23:12:00 "I've actually become a more violent person since I became a mother. If someone came between me and my kids, they'd be dead meat. So I don't agree with that particular statement." Dead meat, huh? Are you listening, David? Don't cross her! She's an angry Republican!
Sally Field - just nuts
2007-09-19 11:41:00 I liked Sally Field in the Flying Nun. She was just a sweet innocent thing back then. I also dreamed about seeing what was under those nunnery clothes she wore. And then was in this movie once upon a time with James Garner. I like James Garner and Sally was pretty good also. I think Jim may even has kissed her in this movie! He doesn't usually do that. He's too tough. read more

News: Sally Field Censored Speech Emmy Awards - My Thought About This and F
2007-09-18 18:16:00 Much talk about Sally Field being censored at the Emmy Awards on Sunday. This is what Sally Field said, "Let's face it. If the mothers ruled the world, there would be no god-damned wars in the first place." - Movies Sally FieldMy thoughts on this I think it is so wrong they censored her speech we are not as free as we think we are in the USA. This is supposed to be a freedom of speech nation but in reality it is not given that she was censored. Anytime we say something about the war or even the president it is like it is so wrong to say anything at all. When we all should saying words to asking questions about everything to know what is really going on. - Earn Cash Writing

Sally Field
2007-09-17 22:02:00 I love Sally Field. I love her show, Brothers and Sisters. I am super excited that she won the best lead actress Emmy - what a well deserved award. And I whole-heartedly agree with her acceptance speech, especially the curse words.
Sally Field Gets Censored At Emmys
2007-09-17 20:06:00 When Sally Field won an Emmy last night for her role on “Brothers and Sisters”, she got so excited and dedicated it to all the mothers out there. And then she continued on, saying “if the mothers ruled the world, there would be no goddamned war.” Unfortunately, we don’t know what else she ...

Emmy? Em-YOU!
2007-09-17 18:53:00 Well another year...another boring Emmy awards show. This time around, the awards were held in a stadium-like atmosphere with the stage dead center. It's host, Ryan Gaycrest reminded the audience how the Emmy's were 'going green' and chimed that this new format of the show would be more Earth friendly. Frankly, if it's not Al pass-me-another-apple-turnover- Gore or Leo please-take-me-as-a-serious-act-or Dicaprio speaking about the environment...I don't care. Regardless, it's nice the Emmy's were trying. Because of this new 'in the round' format, many of television's biggest wigs were set 'behind' the stage as it were, since acceptance speeches had to be made facing the people up for the awards and somehow facing a camera too. The show was so boring I had to switch between watching that and watching a watered down ABC broadcast of Anchorman. They cut out the part where Jack Black's motorcycle character punts Baxter off the bridge! C'mon! That part was fucking hilarious!I...
Actress Sally Field’s Anti-War Acceptance Speech For Emmy Is Censored
2007-09-17 18:13:00 (H/T to Think Progress) As per custom, Sally Field began her acceptance speech for “Best Drama Actress” at the Emmys by thanking this guy, that guy, this gal, that gal, etc., etc., etc. Then, she appears to lose her composure for a few moments before launching into an anti-war tirade, which Fox abruptly cut the ...

Log Cabin: Sally Field Republicans
2007-07-12 00:19:00 As Log Cabin prepares for its Capital Celebration in Washington, D.C. tomorrow, I’m reminded of Hollywood’s annual celebration back in 1985 when Sally Field won her second Oscar for Places in the Heart. Upon receiving the statuette, she uttered her memorable phrase, “You like me, right now, you like me.“ For the past four years ...
