According to the complaint, on August 11, 2009, Boguslaw Nedza was eating at the McDonald's at Navy Pier when he swallowed an earring while consuming a sandwich. The earring became lodged in plaintiff's throat and stomach and efforts to remove it by emergency personnel were unsuccessful, the complaint states. The complaint further describes the object as "a gold colored earring with a sharp needle and clasp rendering it unfit for consumption." Don't throw away the remaining. That's wastage! You can use that too.After cutting out the shapes, lightly pan fried it without oil. Return the cookie cutter back to the cooked luncheon meat. Now, scoop some rice in the cutter and top it with another cooked luncheon meat.Press it down while holding the cookie cutter to make the rice stick together and firm. If your cookie cutter has the imprint part, use that.Remove the cookie cuter and you will have your rice and luncheon meat sandwich!For the remaining luncheon meat, I stuff only rice in the cookie cutter to be fitted in it. According to Merriam-Webster, it is a generation of people who are caring for their aging parents while supporting their own children .Even though both my parents and my mother-in-law do not live with us nor live close to us, I consider myself an active part of the Sandwich Generation. This Mothers Day, I am a mother to my kids; and yet I am also a child, a daughter of my Mom. However, instead of my mom taking care of me, it's me "taking care" of her, while I take care of my kids.On one hand, it's not a big deal. This should be a natural thing. I take care of my mom and when I am old, my daughter will take care of me. But life in this 22nd century is different than before. Ironically, even with all the high tech gadgets we have to help us in our daily living (like washing machines as opposed to washing clothes by hands), we are still almost always busy. Busy.
