Después del ciclón provocado por las opiniones vertidas por Santi Santamaría sobre la cocina de vanguardia, la Asociación de Cocineros Euro-Toques España, entre los que se encuentran cocineros como Andoni Luís Adúriz, Juan Mari Arzak o Pedro Subijana, ha emitido un comunicado donde expresan su total indignación. It happened at midnight on Christmas Eve. We were dealing with our presents (oh yes, we open them at 12:00 AM) and I could see Santi's face transform as he was opening his. He definitely looked disappointed, so I waited until the rest of the kids had gone back downstairs (which took about an hour and a half :-) ) and then called him.I asked him what was going on, guessing what his answer would be; Santi said he was very disappointed because he thought that maybe this time, he would get some of the stuff other kids get for Christmas. Tears of frustration started to run down his face as I asked him: "Well, what were you exactly expecting". He replied "I don't know, nothing in particular, maybe some video games or some electronics things, like the stuff all my friends get", knowing that they were beyond our budget. Opinión de Ines Peña. No escuché en persona lo que dijo Santamaría pero leí en tu blog la polémica... Mi comentario es el siguiente... con el asunto del gorro y la vestimenta eso sería lo mismo que por que en algunos países tienen Presidente terribles eso quiere decir que los demás Presidentes deben dejar de llamarse asi? Por otro lado, si el chef de Mc Donalds, es el que está desarrollando la nueva linea de productos bueno... para mi eso entra dentro de las responsabilidades de un chef... me guste o no Mc Donalds, sea partidaria o no del tipo de comida que sirven. Esa campaña en contra de Mc Donalds me parece hipócrita. Por que en contra de ellos solamente? que pasa con el resto de la comida rápida en el mundo?... muchas veces en peores condiciones higiénicas que Mc Donalds. Como creo en la libertad, no estoy de acuerdo con el comentario de Santamaría. La libertad permite que este tipo de compañías se desarrollen, hagan campaña y tengan un chef.
