Throughout her youth, she expressed an interest in acting through participating in various school plays at Punahou School.While her parents are professors at the University of Hawaii, Manoa, Callies did not follow in their footsteps. Instead, she chose to pursue a career in acting. After graduating from high school, she entered Dartmouth College in Hanover, New Hampshire. In conjunction with her studies, she continued her involvement in theatre. I just want to stress that Sara Callies is, and always was, a professional. She was not in any way ?fired? and the suggestions and posts from some people that she ?did something? to cause her departure just is not true. Sara is so incredibly talented, was such a pleasure to work with and is an asset on any film or television production that is lucky enough to have her.
