Restaurant Review: Saravana Bhavan
2008-04-13 01:39:00 I'm delighted to report that Madras Saravan Bhavan, which closed for several months, has re-opened as Saravana Bhavan, now officially part of a world-wide chain of high-quality vegetarian Indian restaurants, and it is better than ever. I was initially chagrined to learn they had discontinued the lunch buffet, but it has returned in greater splendor than ever: 30 items, each exquisitely prepared.

2007-11-10 19:49:00 Saravanaa (2006) is a Tamil film directed by K.S. Ravikumar. The film stars Silambarasan and Jyothika. This film was a high-budget production and the soundtrack was composed by Srikanth Deva. This love story is set in the backdrop of a village war starring Prakash Raj, Vivek and Nagesh. It enjoyed relative success. The soundtrack was a great hit and used the introduction of an old Black Eyed Peas number, Don?t Phunk With My Heart. Na DVD szuka?em go jeszcze b?d?c w Indiach, ale nie znalaz?em. Dopiero niedawno uda?o mi si? go sprowadzi?. Historia wygl?da mniej wi?cej tak: Saravana (T.R. Silambarasan) zakochuje si? w siostrze swojego przyjaciela Krishny (Krishna) - Sadhanie (Jyothika), która studiuje w Londynie. Starszy brat Krishny Soundarapandi (Prakash Raj) akceptuje przysz?e ma??e?stwo m?odych. Niestety do niczego nie dochodzi. Wrogowie rodziny zabijaj? prawie wszystkich bliskich Sadhany. Ona sama te? jest w niebezpiecze?stwie. Saravana ucieka razem z ni?. W ?lad za nimi rusza po?cig. Pomys? na scenariusz nie jest z?y. Oczywi?cie oryginalno?ci? nie grzeszy, ale ci??ko powiedzie? o nim, ?e jest g?upi. Niestety nieco gorzej wygl?da z wykonaniem tego wszystkiego. Twórcy mieli problem z zachowaniem w?a?ciwych proporcji....

Even though we love preparing food at home we have not become knowledgeable of any Indian dishes and when craving for Indian food comes about we visit our favorite local restaurants. On a recent New York trip we were introduced to a new Indian dish, dosa. The best place to have it in Manhattan is in the Murray Hill area (also known to locals as Curry Hill) which spans Lexington Avenue between 27th and 30th Streets.
