Ancient Body Art Leaving New Marks: ScarificationWhat you see is apparently not red ink. That's scar tissue. This is a scar on the lady's back that looks like a bamboo. The following photos show the work in progress & are not meant for weak stomach people. You have been warned.If you haven't figured it out already, that's human skin. It's the skin from her back. And can you see the little pile of used razor blades in the right-hand corner there. The skin itself looks like pork rinds or something. The results may look pretty cool to those who have got it done. But the mere thought of the sheer pain one has to go through to get this done, we cant imagine it. My friend who loves gore and the unusual as much as I do sent me an email about skin carving or scarification so I thought I'd look into it in more depth and blog about it.
