MERLIN Season 4 Scoop: Katie McGrath Spills Morgana’s Secrets
2012-01-13 17:14:00
As the line between love and hate has now been obliterated in Morgana’s blood-thirty quest to rule Camelot, all that really stands between her and the throne is the wizard Merlin.  With her arch-nemesis lurking in the shadows awaiting her next move, and as the 4th season opens, Morgana moves swiftly to reclaim the throne after losing it so abruptly at the end of the 3rd season.  Taking a few minutes to talk exclusively about what is going on with the nastiest sorceress in Arthurian history, Katie McGrath gleefully shared what she loves most about Morgana and what is going on in Morgana’s head as she scrambles to secure her destiny. At the end of last season, we last saw Morgana as she was overthrown as the usurper of the throne.  Does she now realize that she’ll never be accepted as ruler of Camelot, or does she want to continue to pursue the throne and the crown by any means necessary this next season? KATIE:  Morgana is not a girl who is ever, ever, ever goi...
Creator Steve Niles Shares the Scoop on Chiller TV’s New Series REMAINS a
2011-12-16 23:05:00
While the holidays may seem like an unusual time of year to debut a new zombie movie, both ChillerTV and creator/executive producer Steve Niles are enthusiastically ready to unleash yet another supernatural terror onto television screens this month.  In a recent conference call with press, Steve shared why he is drawn to zombies and what he sees as their universal appeal right now.   First of all, were you involved in REMAINS beyond creating the source material? STEVE:  They kept me very close to it. Basically, I guess the best way to call my role was, I supervised a lot. They ran the script by me and I did set visits and I was in constant contact with the folks at Chiller and Synthetic and they kept me involved at every stage of approving makeup and, like I said, the script. But part of it is, these guys really knew what they were doing and I felt perfectly comfortable being on the coast while they were working on it. But they kept me involved quite a bit and I really apprec...
THE CLOSER Scoop: Kyra Sedgwick and EP James Duff Teases Tonight’s Return
2011-11-28 18:54:00
In the world of Brenda Leigh Johnson in THE CLOSER, life is simple:  there is a crime and someone is going to pay.  Intriguingly, making the punishment fit the crime has become an underlying theme.  For is it enough to put away the bad guy if the legal system cannot guarantee that he will never see the light of day again?    In this final season, the unorthodox tactics employed by the Major Crimes Division to get the confessions they need to put away criminals has been called into question, especially if they cannot use the confession to obtain justice. After the state court threw out the case against Brenda in the wrongful death suit of a murderer and the big reveal that the same case was now going to be brought in federal court, the issue of a department “mole” has taken on new meaning and ramifications.   In a recent conference call with press, Kyra Sedgwick and creator/executive producer James Duff shared their candid thoughts on the journey of Brenda Leigh Johnson and...
COVERT AFFAIRS Scoop: Sendhil Ramamurthy Dishes on Whether Jai Will Embrace
2011-11-22 22:43:00
Just as hot as the Annie-Auggie friendship on COVERT AFFAIRS is the question of whether or not Jai is taking up the “bad boy” legacy his father has bestowed upon him.  While chatting with press in a recent conference call Sendhil Ramamurthy shared his perspective on Jai’s chances of redemption versus the seductive appeal of ultimate power. What’s next for Jai Wilcox?  Will he be making a more prominent appearance in upcoming episodes this season? SENDHIL: It’s interesting. There’s basically the Office of Special Projects that Jai is now heading up and it is tasked with different tasks that it has to perform and he answers to everybody’s boss — even to Arthur’s boss. He answers to the DCI. And as we’ll see in coming episodes:  what the job entails, what that office entails, what the specifics of that office are; they’re not that specific and Jai finds that out very quickly. Like he’s not quite sure what he’s supposed to be doing and then Henry Wilcox...

We Scare Up Some Terrifying CASTLE Relationship Scoop with Star Tamala Jone
2011-10-24 16:36:00
Attention CASTLE fans: Be afraid, be very afraid! Or at least that’s the distinct impression actress Tamala Jones — better known around these parts as Medical Examiner Lanie Parish — left with us following an exclusive one-on-one in which she teased what has the potential to be a terrifying Halloween episode. Particularly if you’re a fan of Detectives Ryan, Esposito and their respective relationships. “In tonight’s episode, Ryan and Esposito, Ryan’s fiancé Julie (Played by Juliana Dever) and Lanie all go out on a double date, but there’s a twist,” teased an audibly excited Tamala Jones during a recent on-on-one with the TV Addict. And while Jones was naturally hesitant to let the proverbial cat out of the bag by revealing whether tonight’s twist is of the trick, or well, the treat variety (Except to say, “I think fans are going to be shocked and also very excited!”) she was only too happy to – much like her small s...

Tonight is Baskin Robbins' 31 Cent Scoop Night!
2011-04-27 19:07:00
Just a quick reminder that tonight is Baskin Robbins' 31 cent Scoop Night!  Stop by your local BR tonight from 5-10 p.m. and enjoy a scoop for just 31 cents. In exchange, Baskin Robbins asks that you consider making a donation to a local fire charity.  Many locations will have firefighters on hand collecting donations. Yum.  This is easily one of my favorite promotions of the year.  Right now I'm feeling like Pralines and Cream... A couple of years ago my roommate and I made a night of this.  We started at the BR on Diversey and Halsted for dinner, and then walked to Clark and Belmont for dessert.  Delish!...

Where Is The Big Scoop Here ??
2010-10-24 00:05:00
The Israeli TV has said today that in some fake exclusive sense that Mubarak sooner will choose Omar Soliman as his vice president for a year where he can prepare Gamal Mubarak for presidency and as the Egypt Sat 1 news became the joke of the day , this news has become the news of the day as if the Israeli TV is predicting something we did not expect. That scenario is so old and there is nothing new about it , we are aware of this scenario and it is expected it so I do not know where is the scoop or the exclusivity here !!??  We know that as soon the the NDPC circus comes sooner , we will hear similar scenarios for this. The time of considering the Israeli media as a reliable media source is over I am afraid and we have to be very careful. FYI Omar Soliman according to Robert Fisk suffers from heart problems plus Mubarak is not stupid to appoint a popular military man with experience and acceptance from all the world ?seriously all the world seems to fall in love with hi...
The inside scoop on a deal at Body Endeavors Pilates!

The truth is that from doing the airbrush tan on a lot of people I get the chance to see a lot of almost naked bodies. When I airbrush someone with a nice bod I try to ask in a totally non creepy way, "What do you do to work out?" The answer is almost always pilates! Pilates gives people a lot of tone without the person losing some of the curves that make us beautiful. Are you looking for a good spot to give this work out a shot on the cheap? Today, Body Endeavors will be featured on DealADayOnline, a site offering daily deals on everything Chicago, with "1 private plus 3 group Pilates lessons for $45!"    Body Endeavors,...

Hey, Windy City! Wanna know the scoop on how to tame your windblown hairdo?
2010-04-23 07:00:00
Last week, after much exposure to strong winds, I attended an event hosted by ELLE and Sebastian at Ulta on State Street. Knowing my mane needed major maintenence, I asked them to help me out. I had assumed the event would be a typical product demonstration, but thanks to Jennifer Kralik from Sebastian, I learned the tricks to conquer windblown hair and a super cool hairspray tip! Fab, huh? Here's the details...1. Don't be afraid to brush your hair. Typically, I shy away from running a brush through my styled 'do, but Jennifer showed me a Boar Bristle brush. The bristles help to run natural oils through your hair. This increases shine and reduces frizz. 2. Bring on the hairspray. After brushing...

We are proud to present a new exclusive interview with none other than the legendary Scoop Jackson. For those who are unfamiliar with Scoop, he is a well-known writer in the music and sports industries, most notably as former editor of XXL Magazine and SLAM Magazine and now currently writing at ESPN.com. We were at Bo Jackson's Elite Sports center in promotion of the Nike Trainer SC and Scoop was the moderator of the Q&A session, being an avid shoe collector himself. Naturally, we first discussed what the Nike Trainer SC meant to him and Scoop also helps to explain the shoe's significance. We then talked potential similarities between a hip hop artist and an NBA player that we may...

31 Cent Scoop Night
2009-04-29 15:10:00
In my never-ending quest to help you find cheap or free food, I am happy to announce that today (Wednesday) is 31 cent scoop night at Baskin-Robbins. Small scoops* are available from 5 p.m. to 10 p.m. at participating Baskin-Robbins locations. In honor of 31 cent scoop night, Baskin-Robbins will donate $100,000 to the National Volunteer Fire Council (NVFC) National Junior Firefighter Program. From past experiences, I recommend arriving around 9 since you will have to wait at least 30 minutes between approximately 6:00 and 8:30. 31-cent ice cream is a good deal, but it's not worth waiting that long.* 2.5 oz. scoops (or 3 oz. Soft Serve cones) are 31 cents plus tax where applicable. Limit 3 scoops per person. Sorry that I have nothing funny to add to this note.

The Scoop With SLC Dunk!
2009-03-26 14:19:00
This week we got a chance to talk to the guy behind SLC Dunk. If you need a top notch Jazz blog, this is where you have to go.1. The Jazz are playing well of late, 13 straight home wins, how would you assess their recent play? With the exception of that three-game slide earlier this month, I couldn't be happier with the Jazz's play. Even then they could have should have won the games against Miami and Atlanta. They played great on the road and just squandered things late. With everyone healthy, everyone is finally seeing how the deep Utah bench will beat most teams. 2. While they've done well at home (only six home losses), they are a below average road team. What is the big difference on the road and how can they fix that problem? If I had an answer for this, I'd probably have a job sitting next to Sloan on the bench. It's really hard to explain why we can't even break .500 on the road. I think a lot of it though is losing games like the ones mentioned above that you shou...

The Scoop With Ryen!
2009-02-13 15:44:00
So, it's Scoop time! This week we've got Ryen, the man behind Welcome to Loud City, a tremendous Thunder blog you should read.1. So going into the All-Star break the Thunder are 4-6 in their last 10 games. How do you think they've played over that stretch? It’s a big of a mixed bag to be honest, however, there is no question this team is playing tremendously better now than in their 3-29 start. There are some really solid wins in that group as well as disappointing losses. It seems like the losses always stand out in our heads more than wins do, so I’ll get to that first. The biggest disappointment was the first game of this 10 game stretch against the LA Clippers. The Clippers came into that game, I think, with 8 players dressed, and one of those got hurt in the first four minutes of the game. Going up against another of the league’s worst teams, especially when they had a roster that was decimated due to injuries, you expect the team to take care of business, even on the r...

The Scoop With Sam Amico!
2009-02-05 23:12:00
Each week we talk to someone who's doing his thing covering this game we love! This week we have Sam Amico, editor of ProBasketballNews, a great site to go to for analysis and news.1. So which team would you say is playing the best ball right now?I think overall, my answer would have to be Cleveland. They have only had one "bad" loss (at Washington) and the type of superstar in LeBron James that can carry them to a title. They are very, very good and get little-to-no credit.2. The injury bug seems to really around right now. Of all the teams with big injuries, which team needs the most help at a certain spot (eliminating the Magic's point guard spot, we know that's bad)? The Raptors could use some help at forward, considering you never know the status of Jermaine O'Neal. Also, Chris Bosh has been banged up for most of the season. They could also use a backup point guard. Even though Jose Calderson is playing, he's been playing hurt.3. You have made the case for Mo Williams to be...
The Scoop With Ben's Suns Blog!
2009-01-29 22:24:00
This week on the Scoop, we're talking Suns and we've got one of the best to answer all my Suns related questions. The man behind Ben's Suns Blog, a blog that seems to be gaining lots of momentum. If you haven't checked it yet, here is where to get your Suns fix. Our thanks to Ben for taking the time!NBAtipoff: How would you assess the Suns recent play, they've gone 5-5 in the last 10 games. Ben: In a word - mediocre; and we're lucky that we went .500 in that stretch. It'd be easy for me to place the blame on the road trip and playing in 6 different cities in 9 days, but our problem really has been intensity and turnovers. Our defense is based on effort and energy - both of which the Suns didn't have in the past several games. However, to be in 7th place after our showing's against Boston, New York, and Charlotte is something to be thankful for. It seems that every time we take a step forward, we take two steps back. By that, I mean that we seemingly begin to find...
The Scoop With Kellex!
2009-01-20 23:46:00
Every week we're going to talk to someone who looks at a certain field that relates to basketball. This week, Kellex Barr from Blaze of Love and The Sports Dollar was kind enough to be the first victim!NBAtipoff: Thanks for joining us on the first edition of Scoop feature. Could you talk to us about the Blazers recent play, tell us things you've liked and didn't like.Kellex: Their play has definitely been sporadic and not in a good way. Inconsistent play on the offensive end from Roy and Aldridge have led to some disappointing losses to subpar teams. On a positive note though, Greg Oden had his first monster game as a professional and gave everyone a glimpse at what the future could hold. Let's just hope he can stay loose and build on it.NBAtipoff: The Blazers offense hasn't looked as fluid recently without starting point guard Steve Blake. Since the team doesn't have a pure point without him, what's the best way Nate McMillan can keep the ball moving?Kellex: Well, when y...
Exclusive BONES Scoop: It’s all Relative

In lieu of a brand new episode of BONES tonight (or as theTVaddict.com reader “tb” points out, any new episode of BONES since the show is on hiatus until January 15th) , how does some scoop sound? For BONES fans out there who hoped they had seen the last of Booth’s borderline alcoholic brother Jared, this TV Addict has some bad news for you. Brendan Fehr, who we had the opportunity to interview at Friday’s 2008 Gemini Awards (Canada’s Emmy equivalent) assures us that Jared will be back to wreck havoc on television’s favorite sometimes platonic investigative duo. DEXTER Casting Scoop
2008-09-25 19:28:00
The TV Addict has just learned that Canadian actress Jane McLean [THE DRESDEN FILES] will be joining the cast of DEXTER in a recurring role this season. Not surprisingly, sources are tight-lipped on what exactly that role will be. But seriously, when has that ever stopped the readers of theTVaddict.com from rampant and irresponsible speculation.
