2007-08-25 10:41:00 America, you got gamed by 20-something call-center-jockey kids pumping mortgages you couldn't afford and even they didn't understand so they could make a quick commission.Tens of thousands of life's losers - call center jockeys, bartenders, used car salesmen, Herbalife distributors (you get the picture) - found their way into the unregulated and out-of-control REIC over these past few years. The one saving grace is that they're getting canned left and right - the party is over.I wonder who'll be picking up the bottle service tab in Scottsdale tonight? Anyone? Anyone?

German's scummy feet and Black's naughty blindfold
2007-04-15 01:35:00 The BBC reliably inform us that Welsh Lib Dem leader Mike German is not recognised by 94% of the electorate. And his cause is certainly not helped by apparent anonymity in the online world, particulary in a Google image search. While the other party chiefs appear as the very first result, Mike German is usurped by this picture of a pair of manky feet.It seems, if Google searches are anything to go by, the Lib Dems literally have an image problem. South Wales West AM Peter Black only just scrapes it into the top 20 results for his name. Confusingly, a blindfolded chap wearing Lib Dem gold and bearing more than a passing resemblance to the blogging Mr Black scores higher in the search.Worse still, when Peter finally makes an appearance, his eyes are half-closed and he's got his hands shoved up a stuffed animal.

The AGI interpreters do great for Sierra, and Sierra was certainly at the top of the games market (at a time when they didn’t even know it themselves!), but many other adventure gaming companies deserve their due as well. Here’s a factor you’ll see over and over in computing: the smaller the company, the friendlier it is to hobbyists and open source users. Check out IBM and Sun Microsystems, once considered bullies of the computing world; now that Microsoft rules their universe they have changed their strategy in the 21st century so they now embrace open source software - they’re almost mushy over it. That’s just an example. The point is, Sierra, still a major player on the market, might prosecute you if they caught you pirating their games. But smaller game proprietors are so flattered, they’ll even give them to you for free! Or lacking ...
