I remember when this happen, my family and I were having a holiday in Kota Kinabalu, Sabah, and during breakfast the next day, we saw the news on TV. We didn't know what really happen or how serious the whole thing was. Innitially, when we saw the flashbacks of the plane crashing onto the twin towers, we thought it was some kind of show.Only after watching it for a little while longer did we realized what was happening. But even then, it really didn't hit us. I was a senior in high school at the time and was working at my desk when another student rushed into the room followed by the principle, who hurriedly started plugging in the TV. The principle, normally a very reserved and composed woman with an easy smile, seemed strained and tight as if she were preparing to see the worst. At that point it had seemed like any other day. A clear, sunny day it was with the kids back to school and summer a mere memory as the sunlight faded a bit earlier every evening. My son was just shy of two years old and my daughter was six back then. With the oldest one in school, I had the day with my boy as he was in preschool three days a week. I was off from work, and had to drag my young son with me to the car dealer to get the Chevy serviced when the news hit the wires about a plane hitting the World Trade Center.
