The delay in the retrial was necessitated when the majority of Spector's defense team quit after the first trial ended. The new defense team is looking to have Fidler removed from the case as they see him as biased against Spector.Lana Clarkson was shot and killed at Spector's mansion on February 3, 2003. The bases were loaded and Moises Alou hit a scorching line drive to third base and Carlos Delgado hit a line drive to rightfield that Jeff Francoeur ran down. Glavine retired 15 straight over the next five innings and departed after six. He allowed three hits, one run, walked one and struck out four. He is 2-1 with a 3.98 ERA. Then again, this is the Mets. Some thought the Mets were snapping out of it after two good offensive performances against the Yankees over the weekend.
