2008-04-30 12:30:00 The 2008 Jacksonville Jaguars secondary, as of now, consists of some combination of Rashean Mathis, Drayton Florence, Brian Williams, Reggie Nelson, and Gerald Sensabaugh. Toss in a few undrafted free agents like Isaiah Garder and Michael Grant and you've got a decent group of folks to choose from. Some, like Nelson and Mathis are homemade drafted talent, Williams and Florence both high priced free agents. With the exception of Sensabaugh and the recent signings, they were also one of the worst units in pass coverage last season. The 2007 Jaguars allowed 8.6 yards per pass attempt, a number that could have been worse had the team played better quarterbacks. 425 yards allowed against the New Orleans Saints was the low water mark of a secondary that suffered from injuries (Sensabaugh and Mathis), first year rookies (Nelson) and quick veteran fixes (Sammy Knight and Aaron Glenn). 2008-03-26 12:37:00 Bob Sheppard, the New York Yankees' public address announcer since the 1951 home opener, will not work the final opener at Yankee Stadium Monday as he continues to recover from health problems that have limited him for the past six months. That does not mean, though, that he will miss all of the final season at the Stadium. While he declined to put a timetable on his return, Sheppard said he is aiming for a comeback sometime this summer."I don't know when it will be, but it will be," he said Tuesday from his home in Baldwin.

2007-06-10 22:52:00 Once again the folks at MVD have found some classic video footage from the 80’s. T. G. Sheppard is a fine entertainer, and this is a great concert highlighting his musical abilities. The concert was recorded live from The Church Street Station, a well known locale in Florida. The video and audio quality is outstanding, as the vast majority of the MVD vintage DVD’s are. While T. G. is the star, there are some interesting bonus tracks included. In particular Stella Parton who performs Standard Lie No 1, and, Danger Of A Stranger. Stella Parton is the less well known sister of Dolly. If you could imagine Dolly without the plastic surgery, they could be twins! Maybe T. G. Sheppard is besk known for his 80’s hit Make My Day, which was one of the strangest duets of all time, who would pick Clint Eastwood as a singer. It was featured in the movie Sudden Impact. T.
