Negros love displaying their silliness…

Check out this discussion topic: Why are you crackers not supporting Obama? I think you don’t want a black man to rule over you. You need to realize McCain never did nothing for the USA like Obama and Biden have. Stop being racist and vote black for once.

Report from the Pastor Search Committee The most obvious traits exhibited may not always indicate the best prospect for a new pastor. We do not have a happy report to give. We have not been able to find a suitable candidate for this church, though we have one promising prospect. Thank you for your suggestions. We have ...
More Tabloid Silliness - James Brown Poisoned?
2008-04-11 07:23:00
Hot on the heels of the recent report that Sonny Bono was assassinated comes a new article in the Globe saying that James Brown was poisoned.Former business associates of the Godfather of Soul want his body exhumed and tested for poison that they say was administered by thieves who wanted to dig up the fortune he had buried on his South Carolina estate.I swear, we're not making this up.Brown's widow, Tomi Rae Hynie, agrees with the speculation but will not go on record for fear that the thieves will come after her.According to Brown's former associate Jacque Hollander, "Toxicology tests on his body, especially on his hair, would easily show if poison was administered to him before he died. An autopsy was never done at the time, but his body should be exhumed and one carried out now."Yeah, we'll be watching for more on this one.

Celebrities slammed for scientific silliness
2008-01-04 02:01:00
When your name’s Nicole Kidman or Gwyneth Paltrow, everyone wants to hear what you have to say.   But before holding forth on their favourite remedy, celebrities should get their facts straight, experts say. The two Hollywood actresses, along with fashion designer Stella McCartney, are singled out by a charity founded to increase the public’s understanding of ...
BCS = Bogus Championship Silliness
2007-12-09 11:04:00
It was entertaining to watch NCAA football the past few weeks. For most of the season I really did not follow it much. But on Friday after Thanksgiving I had to watch the Razorbacks play LSU in what was ultimately a thrilling 3 OT finish. Run DMC would certainly get my vote for the Heisman trophy,

The Chewbacca Backpack Is A Guaranteed Woman Deterrent?

Then again, if you seriously contemplated rocking one of these, I’m sure the interest of women is the least of your worries (it goes both ways, as either you could be an utter geek with no interest for the opposite sex, or your game so strong that regardless of what you wear, your coming home ...
More Silliness From SF Government
2007-11-14 13:50:00
San Franciscans keep electing people like this, so I guess they get the government they deserve. By this, I mean the Stupes who decided to give everyone ID cards (which sounds like a good way to connect terrorists to their own personal bank accounts) and the School Board which is bound and determined to destroy ...

Environmental responsibility or cost-cutting silliness?
2007-11-12 08:26:00
Sometimes I wonder whether many of our big businesses take caring for the environment seriously, or rather look for token ways to appear environmentally friendly while being more concerned about the company's bottom line.Today I went shopping at my local Coles supermarket for just a few things, including a big bottle of fruit juice (gotta get my daily dose of vitamin C). Anyway, usually when I go shopping I do the right thing and take my own "green" shopping bags to bring my groceries home in. But once a week or so I don't mind taking my goods home in plastic bags from Coles, as I then re-use the shopping bags as kitchen garbage bin liners. They fit perfectly in the square bin.But lately Coles seem to have brought in a policy of not supplying the sturdier, large plastic grocery bags, but instead only using the little, thin blue plastic bags. These bags are designed to hold about 6 small, light items - they are definitely not built for big bottles of fruit juice or 3-litre containe...

Caught in the act
2007-11-01 05:01:00
This is just too funny for words...This looks like one of those 1970s sex education thingies.First off, how did these two actors do this with a straight face? AND what parent would allow their child to do a gig like this? My daughter did some modeling and photo shoots when she was younger, but I would have NEVER allowed her to do something as silly and embarrassing as this. What the heck were his parents thinking? And that woman playing the mother. Didn't she look creepy as all get out? That boy may never be right in the head again. LOL!

The Silliness of Michael O’Hanlon
2007-09-05 12:03:00
by Larry C. Johnson Just when you thought Michael O’Hanlon’s supply of chapstick had run dry, he puckers up again and gets busy pressing his lips to Bush’s backside. Compare the boy’s analysis with the actual data that is on display in Tuesday’s New York Times. O’Hanlon writes: Nonetheless, the military momentum appears real, despite the tragic multiple truck bombings in Ninevah Province on Aug. 14 that made that month the deadliest since winter. Overall, civilian fatality rates are down perhaps one third since late 2006, though they remain quite high. There are also signs that roughly six of Iraq’s 18 provinces are making significant economic and security gains, up from three a year ago. The story in Sunni-dominated Anbar Province is by now well known: attacks in the city of Ramadi are down 90 percent, and the economy is recovering. But there is progress in several regions with more complex sectarian mixes as well. But take a look at the act...
Authorized Silliness
2007-08-27 01:05:00
What was Judge Dredd’s old slogan? “Punish the guilty, keep the innocent nervous.” In that vein you’ve gotta love this utterly purposeless government sign in Bangor, Maine from Slublog. Knowing the ways of city governments, I’m hesitant to mock it though. Facing criticism the city solution will be to pass an ordinance requiring the installation of ...

Hyper-Partisan Silliness
2007-06-15 00:35:00
There's an interesting war of words going on today which is illustrative of the hyper-partisanship of the nation's political discourse. This morning, The Politico posted an article which began with the following paragraphs: Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid called Marine Gen. Peter Pace, the outgoing chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, "incompetent" during an interview Tuesday with a group of liberal bloggers, a comment that was never reported. Reid made similar disparaging remarks about Army Gen. David Petraeus, the top U.S. commander in Iraq, said several sources familiar with the interview. This is but the latest example of how Reid, under pressure from liberal activists to do more to stop the war, is going on the attack against President Bush and his military leaders in anticipation of a September showdown to end U.S. involvement in Iraq, according to Democratic senators and aides. Conservative bloggers jumped all over this story, as evidenced by the list of prominent ...
All that silliness
2007-06-06 14:57:00
This is classic Jolie: “I have no animosity toward Hollywood or the demands of the red carpet, all that silliness,” Jolie, 32, tells Esquire magazine. “That’s my job, and I’m happy to have it. But when I die, do I want to be remembered as an actress? No.” “I recently had an op-ed published in a newspaper,” ...
sublime silliness
2007-05-15 17:06:00
I hate commercialism, but I love commercials. This billboard, which I saw in a neighboring neighborhood, never fails to make me laugh. And for three days now my favorite thing to exclaim is: "Zwack is Most Good!" It might just be the z/w combo, but I don't know that I'll ever fully understand why this amuses me so. Though I do understand why it annoys the people who are now avoiding me.
Cold War Silliness
2007-04-12 06:10:00
At the height of the cold war, amidst talk of radical changes in transportation, a battle cry could be heard from our Soviet neighbors: “We’re Russian, we don’t need no stinking bullet train … we have a jet plane instead”: This is actually a real train, albeit a prototype, built by the Russians in the ...

The Silliness of the Evolution wars

One of the silliest things that children do is, when you make a statement about one thing, they then use that statement in another situation that is quite different. My two sons, who learned English as a second language, we well adept at manipulating words to completely different meanings to confuse and manipulate their exhausted [...]
